How many times are you planning on seeing this film?

When I first read about this film being made I immediately knew that I would be seeing this film more than once. Possibly 2xs. Once for enjoyment and another time for the fun facts about the Wizarding World that are fun to think about. But then I remembered the scores of Harry Potter fans that I still knew who would go to the theatre, wait hours in a queue, buy advance tickets and occasionally dress up for the HP8 films.

I now realize I will be seeing this film a great deal more than 2xs.

So far, my predicted tally is at 5xs. Because I'm considering taking my sister who was my first HP film date ever, followed by my hoard of everlast Potterheads, then again individually with those amongst them that wouldn't mind a repeat viewing, and of course there's the possible date & not forgetting that there may be friends that I just want to "do" something with. Big bite out of my wallet, but I think it's gonna be worth it.

How many times do you think you'll end up seeing this film? How many times do you actually want to (if that's a different number)?

Tegz 10-01-2013 10:14 PM

As many times as I can. Realistically at least once in cinemas and then probably a bunch online, and then eventually OWN it and then it'll probably join the other potter films as a 'there's nothing on so Imma put HP on' film.

Goblinfrog 10-01-2013 10:26 PM

I want to see it as many times as possible, I could never get tired of Harry Potter. Just yesterday I watched Chamber of Secrets with family and was every bit as excited and happy as ever.

I think I will watch it twice in the theater. Once with friends and family and once by myself. The reason I want to see it once alone is because I want to see it FIRST than my HP friends. Then we all watch it together. :D

And as soon as it comes out, I will buy it on the two or three disk special edition. Special features rule!

Definitely buying it...

Since I only got to see the last one in theaters(I never got into the series before that), probably as many times as I can! At least.... Four.... But probably more!

Steelsheen 10-08-2013 05:40 AM

at least twice. because if it was a meh experience the first time i would almost always try to see it again, to be fair and all.

unless of course this film makes me sea-sick or upsets my inner purist (not much of the latter happening with this book  )

I used to watch films in cinema more than once... though I think I've past that phase in my life. Unless it's truly SPECTACULAR and I become OBSESSED with it, I will only see it once in cinema, and then of course NUMEROUS times on dvd.. just because it's cheaper and more easily accessible.

But ultimately, it will depend on the quality of the film. My love for HP and the HP world is DEEP, so I imagine I willllll be a big big fan, but anything can happen.

Lissy Longbottom 10-09-2013 06:56 PM

I'm sure I'll buy it on DVD eventually, but in theaters I'll probably only see it once :D Unless I have friends/family who want to see it, then I usually end up going multiple times, but I just can't bring myself to pay multiple times to see something I'll eventually own

So I'm definitely behind the times. what is the movie?

That's OK. :glomp: The movie is going to be about Newt Scamander (the one who wrote Fantastical Beasts and Where To Find Them), and it will be set seventy years before the Harry Potter series takes place. It was the new CEO of Warner Brothers idea, but Rowling will be writing the script and David Heyman will be back to produce. We don't know much else so far but Snitchseeker will be updating when new information comes.

Im planning on going the cinema in Dublin to see it and I must get the DVD when it comes out.:bubbly::bubbly::bubbly: I only found out this evening:bubbly::bubbly:

Same here. I'll probably just see it once with my friends, unless I have friends who want to go more than once or unless I end up seeing it with different groups of friends.

Of course I'll buy the DVD to add to my collection though! (Unless it's HORRIBLE, but I can't imagine that happening if JK is writing it!)

carpediem 08-09-2014 10:20 PM

Ummm, is a million a realistic number? Because I want to go with my friends twice and then I have to show my dad and then several times because yes

justinobee 05-11-2016 04:15 PM

I like to see movies that I'm excited about at least twice in the theatres and then own on Bluray. But at least twice in theatres.

ccharleyy 06-10-2016 04:43 AM

I think I will see it once at the movies, maybe twice if my family is going. I will want to watch it alone first because there's no way I'm going to be able to control my emotions :x3:
Afterwards, it will probably just join my Harry Potter movie collection to watch as many times as I want. Although, New Zealand has been blessed with having the Harry Potter movies available on Netflix, so if it's on there, I'll be watching it more.

BriGranger1990 06-16-2016 06:57 PM

At least once at the movies... then far too many times when it comes out on DVD/digital

PygmyPuffer 08-02-2016 12:32 AM

I will see the film with my husband in the theater once and then purchase the DVD or some sort of the movie when that is released and watch it again.

Scoobean 08-20-2016 03:44 AM

I will probably go twice to the theater a see the film. Once with a group of friends and then once with just myself so I can really focus on it.

ALYgator 08-23-2016 05:13 PM

I definitely plan to see it in the theatre once and than once it is it released on DVD or Digital I will purchase it than to view many times.

Pigwidgeon 09-06-2016 07:43 PM

I will see it in the theater once which then will determine how many other times I buy a ticket to see it in the theater. Theater tickets are so expensive. I will then like others have said purchase it when the time comes.

Rosariki 09-11-2016 03:38 AM

I will see it a lot of times because being in USA now I get no more Sub Titles in Russian to read. I will need to go see it a few times just to understand it fully.

*LoonyLuna* 09-17-2016 07:29 PM

I am one of them cheapskate type of people who hate to pony up and pay the outlandish prices of the movie theatres and I also don't have a job so I am always broke. That being said I will probably bum a bit of money of my Dad for this one.

Betelgeuse 09-21-2016 10:40 AM

I am sure its will be more than one to me :) Always...

PaoWeasley 09-30-2016 09:06 PM

As much as possible really. I am also a big Star Wars fan and I saw Ep. VII six times. Guess it will be pretty much the same then :)

Yaya97 11-13-2016 10:23 PM

I will see it in the theaters at least once. Then if I love it which I probably will I will break down and see it again in the theater.

Jessiqua 11-17-2016 12:02 AM

I SAW IT! I SAW IT! OMG :loved: I plan on seeing it at least once more, but I wouldn't be surprised if that number was about 4 or 5 times in theatres :loved:
