| | |  Boggarts: What do you fear?
A boggart is an amortal shape-shifting non-being that takes on the form of the viewer's worst fear. We were first introduced to boggarts in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and, since then, have discovered what some of our favourite characters fear the most. From giant spiders to dead family/friends to even fear itself, we have seen the vulnerable sides of those who have encountered a boggart.
In the Harry Potter series, the following characters encountered boggart: - Harry Potter - a dementor
- Hermione Granger - McGonagall telling her she failed everything
- Ron Weasley - a giant spider
- Seamus Finnigan - a banshee
- Neville Longbottom - Severus Snape
- Parvati Patil - a bloodstained, bandaged mummy
- Dean Thomas - a disembodied living hand
- Albus Dumbledore - his sister's corpse
- Remus Lupin - the full moon
- Tom Riddle - his own dead body
- Molly Weasley - dead family/friends
Speculate on the other characters of the Potter universe: What form would their boggart take? Why do you think so? If you encountered a boggart, what would it turn into? Have you tried defeating your boggart with a bit of laughter?  | |

Spiders... Ten billion times worse then Ron... Oddly enough, a spider was on me at school and I totally spaazed. Thank god it was... A. the first day of school. Spiders wearing rollerskates, like in PoA, is NOT funny in the slightest!!!! | |

i agree, when i saw parvati turn the snake into the clown, the clown was the thing thay freaked me out the most in that scene. It was scary looking.

I play with the garter snakes in my yard, and I invite a few small spiders in to take care of the knats, but I AM somewhat afraid of June bugs! I would say my biggest fear would be for something bad to happen to my grandchildren!

Clowns are quite freaky. 'It', by Stephen King, made sure of that.
I had this nightmare a couple of times where everything felt, tasted, looked, sounded and smelt smoothe, and then all-of-a-sudden went jagged. So I guess that would be my Boggart.
