 Some ways down Knockturn alley there is an old cart owned by a romanian hag. From the cart two wooded steps come down, and there is a table with two ratty chairs on their side. Above the cart a sign hovers that says The Starry Prophesier. It has been said that Madame Hildegard, the old white haired hag, with green skin who owned the cart was known to have tasted the flesh of children and muggle borns who came to her cart. Her hook nose was punctuated with a large black hairy mole and her yellow eyes can petrify you if you stare at them too long. Here you may purchase all sort of dark magic divination items and be it Palms, Tarots or Runes, this is the place to get your future read.

Genevieve James was just finishing off her lunch break with young baby faced fellow Auror Angelo Toussaint when there was an audible RUCKUS coming from Knockturn Alley. Not that they made it a habit of frequenting the alley without appropriate back-up, especially when not on duty, but since being on duty was a matter of technicality and Genevieve was still feeling all skeeved out over the weird graffiti lately, she was more than willing to take a turn down the darkened street.
"Head on a swivel, Toussaint," Vivi had only taken a few steps before spotting the likely source of the ruckus. One gravely injured child with a pumpkin head, other children with their wands out, pointing at the injured girl. A fight, and a very unfair one. "FREEZE. Wands to the ground, and don't make any sudden movements. Toussaint, check the one on the ground."

Baby faced? Hardly. And this auror frequented Knockturn more than most, but never on ministry business, just the personal kind. Either way the ruckus, followed by the tell-tale spell that alerted nearby aurors of a trace activation, as well as his particular company in the moment, meant he couldn't exactly turn a blind eye, so he followed Vivi willingly enough, though he didn't bother to draw either of his wands.
Angelo took in the scene in front of him, noticing the pregnant woman off to one side, the cart that had its display in arrears with smashed pieces of who knew what littering the streeth, the proximity of the balefully silent caravan with the little bit of jaunty smoke just curling up from its chimney in a manner that would be quaint if not for its occupant. And his experience dueling made it clear that this was no fight. In fact....
"They're together." He noted, but went over to the fallen girl as directed all the same. What tipped him off? The way they held their wands, the way they were not shooting any more spells as though whoever had been their target before had gone, the looks on their faces (except pumpkin girl, who was.... a pumpkin).
He knelt down by said pumpkin girl, checked her pulse, and his hand came away bloody. The back of her neck and where the pumpkin met her skin was a mess. And it seemed like someone had bitten the pumpkin casing - he could see pumpkin guts within, seeds and orange flesh, with teeth marks that also had left traces of blood, as though whatever had bitten into this pumpkin had already got a mouthful of the real stuff before it clamped on.
If the pumpkin looked like this, how did her head look? He took his wand out now and began a few field diagnostic spells. "We need to get her to St Mungos," He noted. "But we can't move her like this."

Liza was panicking and...well, on the ground with a pumpkin for a head. You know, typical day for a thirteen year old witch. Her small hand flinched as she felt a hand on her neck her instant thought being that it was her again, the hag had returned to finish the job. “Mmm” she grumbled her hands tightening for a second as she listened not really speaking at all. Her voice would hardly have been heard if she spoke with the pumpkin.
If she could, if she dared she would have cried out for Mav, she would have asked her sister to come – but she knew she would. Her heart was still racing, though at a slower steadier pace as her fear was slightly abating.

The young brunette had fire coursing through her veins, pure unadulterated rage. Yet, she was in the house of eagles for a reason, and managed to not connect a blow to her sibling. And the spell she had chosen with great care as it was not an assault spell above water. How she wanted to end the soulless creatures existence, make her regret everything her filth had ever brushed against.
A poorly placed spell became a golden opportunity however, well enough done girl...a pumpkin was better than a snack after all. Healers could work wonders with magic... So, despite a desire for revenge mayhem and agonizing pain leading the green skinned dung roller to a satisfying end...Mav wasn't an idiot. Her sister going to Mungo's was paramount, hatred and vengeance could find their purchase at a later time.
An audible groan bellowed from the seventeen year old's lips. "We need to get to Mungo's, NOW." She rolled her wand onto the ground and pointed to her now jack o' latern sister, who was thankfully not gutted enough for a candle. And seriously where were these bad muggle movie officers ten minutes ago!!???
At least the bloke had some semblance of a clue it seemed. She sighed and crossed her arms as she watched him. "That's my younger sister. Eliza Dean Sawyer. Thirteen years old. I'm Maddison Maeve Sawyer, seventeen, and I am going with you." She wasn't taking no for an answer.

Juliette didn't mean to turn Liza's head into a pumpkin. She really didn't. She had meant to turn the hag's head into one. But at least the hag had released Liza's head from her mouth. Juliette was relieved to see that. She was also relieved to see people were coming to their... what?
Did they think that they did that to Liza? Juliette quickly dropped her wand on the floor, wiping her scared tears away from her face and sniffled. To be fair... she had kind of done the pumpkin thing to Liza... and in a way maybe this really was her fault they were here. She couldn't think like that now. She looked at the older Sawyer with big eyes. Without Mav they probably woul- Juliette didn't even want to think about it. Instead she slowly sidled closer to the older girl and nodded. Quietly, she added, "I wanna go too." She didn't want to be left behind or to let Liza out of her sight. The younger puff had saved her life. And that thought brought tears to her eyes yet again. She was going wherever Mav was going. It was probably safest that way anyways. | |

Vivi rolled her eyes, both at Toussaint and his fun game of 'state the obvious' and at the kids who thought they were in a position to tell the Aurors what was and was not going to happen. "I realize they're together, but we still want them to stop pointing their wands at anything that makes their twitchy little fingers jump, right?" Vivi summoned the wands from the ground and pocketed them.
Now, since the two girls weren't going to blast their heads off, it seemed prudent to worry about the girl dripping pumpkin guts all over the ground. "It doesn't seem ideal to move her like this, but if you change her back, we don't know how bad the injury may be. What do you have in mind, Toussaint?"
She waved the girls in with a curt flap of her hand. Get over here, please, so she didn't have to keep barking up and down the street like a dummy. "No injuries to you two? I'm afraid you'll have to come with me to the Ministry to file a report... and someone was doing underage magic out here. We'll get Miss Eliza to Mungo's."

Ignoring the attitude from Vivi because he didn't need the explanations, Angelo kept his attention on the young girl. Other than the pumpkin head it seemed like there weren't any other spells at play, certainly no dark magic which was lucky given where they were, but the diagnostics spells indicated she was physically a bit worse for wear too, as though she'd been beat up somehow. Kicks maybe. Nothing too much to worry over, though worth checking once the pumpkin situation was taken care of.
And... she was awake.
"Eliza." Angelo repeated once the older girl said the pumpkin girl's name, his voice calm and low. "I'm Auror Toussaint. Here with Auror James. Stay still, we're going to get you taken care of. I'm going to put you in a body bind to make it safer to move you, and then we'll get you to St Mungos with a portkey. We need to keep the pumpkin head until we get there, and leave it to the healers to fix that." Safer right now, as long as they kept the pumpkin protected.
He looked up at the sister. "It will help immensely if you work with Auror James to get a report filed, the sooner you do that, the sooner you can sit with your sister in the hospital as family. I'll come right back and escort you there myself, if you like." After the statements of course.
But for now, a body bind for Eliza, to keep her from being injured while moving, and then Angelo made an emergency portkey from a button. Perks of being an auror, even if the paperwork was always heinous afterwards.
He gave Vivi a nod and then activated the portkey, and then he and Eliza disappeared.
