Punz's eyelids were just starting to get droopy, that's how long she felt like she had been waiting. Her head nodded forward as she started to doze off and then BAM! A loud whoooshing sound announced the arrival of her friends and Punz sat up with a start.

She couldn't move very far though. Something huge and stifling was sitting smack dab on her chest...something so heavy it had to be an elephant.

"Haallp...me....haaaaaalllllp..." she wheezed, trying unsuccessfully to push whatever it was off of her.

From the opposite side of the room and through the closed door, Alexander rolled over in his bed and stared snoring again, so loudly that he practically downed out Rapunzel's pathetic pleas for help.

Suddenly her pillow started to move more frantically. "Bad, pillow!" she exclaimed frustrated. What kind of family would have such accessories as to try to kick people off?

And where was Pretzel?

"Has anyone seen Pretzel?" she asked the group at large.

Miles grinned as he watched everyone grab on to the portkey, just as he did. Suddenly, he and his friends were spun round incredibly fast, and he felt he was going to let go too early if it spun him around anymore. Thankfully, the spinning stopped, and instead, he was falling towards an appealing ground.

He arrived with a loud thud, landing on his right arm. Not good.
"OOOOWWWWW!" He yelled as he closed his eyes in pain, what a rubbish portkey! Miles rolled over, so no pressure was on his arm. He started panting and kept his eyes tight shut, as he dealt with the pain without any inappropriate words. Finally, the pain started to die down and he sat up and grumbled to himself. "Stupid thing." He mumbled, rubbing his sore arm.

It was not that much difficult to Ella since her family always used this way of transport. Portkeys are time savers. She felt the thick woohz around her ears, whirled past everything and finally landed on the ground smoothly. She looked around others as she was adjusting her ponytail. Lima was safe..but Miles..awe..not..good..

Miles was groaned in pain, keeping his eyes shut. She reached over him, "Are you okay?" asked, looking down at his troubling arm. By the level of his groaning, she understood that there should not be any broken bones. She reacted quickly as she used her wand with a light flick, casting the simple healing charm on his arm. Hoping that it would help him.

Still struggling frantically for air, Rapunzel pushed and heaved at Lima's bum. "I'm nawtapiwwow!" she tried to squeal, flailing at her friend with her firsts.

"HAWWWWWWP!"

Lima jumped up when she saw that Miles had been hurt. Good thing as the pillow was getting even more pushy. "Oh, Miles! Are you okay?" She rushed over to them and saw that he had landed on his right arm judging by the way that he was holding onto it and wincing. She was going to cure him herself when Ella beat him to it. Satisfied, she figured that it was time to get down to business.

She turned around figuring that she would have to search the flat for her host, when she saw the girl spread out on the couch.

"Pretzel!" she called out to her. "You shouldn't be sleeping when you have guests over!" She sighed.

Ella looked at Miles again, just make sure of his troubled arm. He seemed comfortable after that healing spell. Very well..

She turned to Lima, "Hey, who's pretzel btw?" she nudged on her ribs.

Rapunzel was literally gasping for air thanks to Lima's big butt. Once the older blonde moved off her face, Pretzel fell off the couch and onto the floor, taking huge, wheezy breaths to get some air back in her lungs.

"Uh uh hhuh, huuuhuh," Punz gasped, sitting up when she had slightly recovered. Once she was sitting up on the couch again, she turned to glare at Whigalima Whigmeister, who, of all people, was accusing her of SLEEPING!

"Excooose me," Pretzel growled, crossing her arms and frowning. "YOU were SITTING on my FACE! I couldn't breathe! I wasn't sleeping, and I most definitely wasn't a PILLOW!" She made a face at her friend and then turned to El.

"Ella dear, lovely to see you. I am the Pretzel, in case you were wondering, and welcome to my brother's flat." As if on cue, Alexander snore-snorted from the room next door. "And who is this?" she added, turning to the boy. "Wait...I know you!" Punz beamed and bounced off the couch towards him. "You're Vannie's...er...boyfriend, right?" Oh wait, they were back together, weren't they? She was suddenly concerned that she might've put her foot in her mouth....whups.

Miles sat up properly, still clinging to his malfunctioned arm and sighed, why did these things always happen to him? He smiled thankfully as Ella as she casted a charm over his arm, and the pain began to die down much more, he could actually move his arm now. "Cheers Ella, you're a star." He grinned, lifting himself up onto his feet. He didn't think he was ready for another apparation trip just yet. Miles laughed at Lima's sudden rush to aid. "I'm fine Lima, just .. not very good at travelling." He shrugged.


Just as Miles had brushed himself off, and the pain had dissapeared, he snatched his head up as he heard Vannie's name. It came from a girl whom he had never seen before. Odd. "Err .. yeah. Miles." He smiled, he preffered his name than the name 'Vannie's boyfriend', but he wouldn't mind if people continued to call him that. "And you are?"

Why is he looking at me like that? Do I have something coming out of my nose? Do I smell bad? Oh Merlin, if Lima farted on my face when she sat on me....!!

She took a breath and smiled at the boy. "Miles, right. Um, I just...er...Vannie told me about you. How wonderful you are." She had to slip that compliment in....cos that's what boys liked to hear. Duh.

"Anyways, welcome to our little Paris flat, everybody!" Pretzel announced, bouncing out to the center of the room. "Why don't we head out, eh?"

She'd just heard Alexander's mattress squeak a bit, which meant that he was either rolling over or getting up. And hopefully it wasn't the latter, because explaining how three teenagers suddenly wound up in a Muggle's apartment wasn't the easiest thing - especially not when El had her wand out like that.

Lima looked at Ella like she was insane. "You're telling me that you dunno who Pretzel is?" She was completely baffled here. Geeze, she thought that everyone knew that Rapunzel was Pretzel.

She was taken aback by Pretzel's exclamation. Then embarrassment took over. Turning as red as a tomato, she put her hand over her mouth and said, "I'm so so sorry. Can you forgive me?" She would have gone and hugged the girl if she wasn't afraid that she would try to rip off her head or something. Pretzel annoyed wasn't pretty.

Lima smiled when Miles assured her that he was okay. She had kicked into Mother Mode yet again; she really needed to stop doing that so much. She laughed with him and said, "you've never taken a Portkey before, have you?" She had a feeling that this was something new for him.

It seemed Vannie liked to spread love around the world. Commenting about him to randomers? Well, this girl may not be a stranger to her. "Riiiight." Miles smiled slightly, he would have to have a few words with Vannie about telling people how wonderful he is.

AND, she didn't even answer his question! How was he meant to know who she was? He put his hand back in his pocket, apart from the right one which he decided would be better in the open until he felt he could move it again. Until he knew otherwise, her name shall be; Paris girl. Mwaha.

Miles shook his head sadly. "I've never gone this far away before." That was even sadder, but he never blamed himself, he always blamed his father. Urrgh, saying that they didn't have enough money was a load of rubbish. His father just didn't want to miss anything from work.

Then, Miles overheard what Lima had said to Ella, and smiled. "Pretzel?" He turned to Paris girl whom he would not call anymore. "Nice name." Surely that wasn't her real name? He liked pretzels.

Rapunzel turned to Lima and put her hands on her hips, trying to seem angrified at the girl. But she couldn't, not when her friend was blushing like a cherry tomato. "Haaaa ha Lima. It's okay," she said with a wink. "Just like...try and look where you're sitting before you squash someone, mmkay?"

"Pretzel? Hmm?" Rapunzel muttered, angling towards whats-his-name Miles again. "Oh yeah, it's short for Rapunzel. Sorta." She laughed at that comment a little and then headed toward the door, grabbing her light purple jacket on the way.

"So, are we hitting the streets today or what?" she asked the group, warily eying the door of her brother's bedroom. As long as it stayed shut they were good.

How strange, Lima thought to herself as Miles explained to him that he had never traveled far before. Lima was used to it. She traveled at least once a summer. "Well, you need to get used to it then," she said smiling. "You'll be using one again to gat back to my place afterall."

She smirked at his comment on Pretzel as she turned her attention back to the girl.

And it seemed that Pretzel wasn't so cold afterall. She could see her anger lessening the more she spoke. Smiling, Lima gave her a hug and said, "of course I will from now on." Letting go, she asked, "so when do you want to go out and show us Paris?"

Ella grinned at Miles, " Star?" she excited, "Haha..then gimme a name..something sparkly.." she started laughing, "I love nicknames..as you know me lil.." she said, looking back at his arm. He looked comfortable and painless now. "Take care of your arm dear, you'll have to get guitar lessons soon.." she reminded him as if he was not aware of that. But that is Ella..typical jovial Ella..

Attention came back on Lima, "Wooh..so it's Zel's other nickname..right?" she intrigued, rolled her eyes. How come she didnt know this, she wondered.

When Zel appeared from no where..she reached her and hugged tightly, "Oh..Zel, I missed you so much.." she nodded, "You didnt say a word to me about your transfer.." she complained, pouting.

Lima laughed and said, "yes, her other nickname. But only I may call her that." She winked teasingly but she was serious; Pretzel was Lima's name for Punz.

She blinked. "Transfer? What transfer?" She was totally confused now.

He might have known. What kind of parents would name their daughter 'Pretzel' anyway? Rapunzel sounded better. "Oooh. Thought as much." He nodded, and placed his luggage at the corner of the room, out of the way.

Miles got all excited as Pretzel grabbed her coat and mentioned leaving, like a dog getting excited because it's owner was taking it for a walk. "Yeaaah, I wanna go see Paris!" He mused, not being able to keep still, and began foddling with his fingers.

Miles rolled his eyes. "I know, I've only ever travelled by floo, because I've never gone so far. I know, it's sad." He sighed and laughed at the same time. He would have to make up for all the holidays they could have had, by going atleast twice a year with Vannie, and he'd have to bring Sylvia, because she was in the same boat as him. "Woo." Miles said sarcastically as she told him about their journey back.

He grinned and nodded at the same time. "Yeaah. For helping me." He said, glancing at his arm again, what would he do without girls eh? "Hmmm." Miles looked up at the ceiling for a few seconds before bringing his attention back down to Ella. "Sparkella." He raised an eyebrow and waited for her opinion.

Were all women like mothers? "I'll be fine." He looked at his arm, as if he was checking it was still there. "Guitar Lessons?!" Miles beamed at her. Woo! Now this holiday really was going to be fun, and not just shopping.

Lima shook her head at him. He was just being cranky now. Silly boy. Sighing, she tried to think of a way to cheer him up a bit. "Well, would it make you fee better if I taught you how to play a bit while we are here?" Give her a musical instrument and she could master it; she was bound to have at least one opportunity to give him a lesson.

"Good," Rapunzel said, nodding. "Sure sure, no time like the present." Actually, the sooner the better, in her opinion.

Punz took another step toward the door before Ella popped up suddenly and gave her a big hug. Oi, the poor blonde was getting beat up before she even left the place! "Yes El, I missed you too," she piped up, squeezing her friend back.

She managed to disentangle herself from the girl and had her hand on the doorknob before Ella brought....um...it up. Oh dear, now I'm in for it, she thought, sighing deeply at the topic. Rapunzel hadn't actually told anyone about her plans for next school year - except Ryan and her family, of course - so how did Ella even know?

Maybe I can just edge out of this, Punz started to think, opening the door and taking a step out into the hallway. But no, then Lima had to hear. Great, just splendid.

"Um....yeah, what Ella? What transfer?" She made a face and blinked at Miz Stone like she had no clue what she was talking about. "I'm not transferring anywhere next term." Twas totally true, after all. She just...wasn't going to any school, exactly.

Alexander could hear the sound of gossip and jibberjabbering from outside his door. He tried muffling it out with a pillow on his head, but not even that was working.

"Shut up, Rapunzel!" he growled from his room, rolling over on his mattress. "Quit talking to the TV!" That had to be the source of all that noise, of course. She couldn't possibly have made friends in Paris already....could she? Meh, he was too lazy and tired to investigate.

Hearing her brother's rude voice from across the room, Punz turned a paler shade of white than she normally was. "Yeah, sorry Alex!" she called back. "I'm just uh, going shopping for a bit now."

Widening her eyes, she put a finger to her lips and nudged her head towards Lima, Ella and Miles. "Let's head out now, mmkay? To the lift!" she whispered, motioning with her hand for them to hurry out the door. They could talk more on the street.

Lima just stood there watching Pretzel. She could sense that there was something up with the girl even if she wouldn't say what. She didn't know what Ella knew - or how she knew it - but by the look on McBolical's face, she knew that something was up.

Following the girl to the door she asked, "is that why you asked me what I would do if you weren't at school next Term?" Her gaze was piercing and she wouldn't let her friend get away with not being totally honest here.

But of course her brother had to choose that moment to open his mouth. Shaking her head at her brother she nodded and figured that getting out of the place was definitely for the best.

Miles' grin wouldn't fit his face. "Yeeess! I want to be a rock star." He nodded his head slighty with his eyes closed, he couldn't really picture himself as a rock star. He could picture Lima as a rock star, with him being her drummer. Now THAT would be cooler, for some reason, Miles found them better. "How are you on drums? I prefer them to guitar's." Not that he wasn't grateful about the guitar lessons, but you'd never know if you don't ask.

Miles, in a hurry to leave as he heard a man yell from another room, who seemed angry, hurried to the door where Punz was standing. "Come'on. We don't want to anger .. him any more now do we?" He said, a little fright in his voice.

Rapunzel didn't even respond to Lima, or Miles, for that matter, until they were in the lift and out on the street. She walked a few paces away from the flat, basking in the bright Parisian sunlight, and then turned around to address her friends.

Lima was first. Sigh. "Yes...um...I...I had this feeling, see," Punz murmured, making eye contact with the sidewalk. "Professor Vindictus had mentioned open tryouts for the Chudley Cannons...and then I got this letter on the train...and Ryan got the same one....."

She sighed again and kicked an invisible pebble. "Oh, and you're right, Miles," she added with a half-frown. "My brother's kind of a Muggle and uhm," she cleared her throat. "I might have maybe forgot to tell him that I was having some friends over?"

Now she was in for it. But oh well, it was all out in the open now. And if they started chasing her with sticks or something, at least she could run away now.

She couldn't help but break into laughter at his enthusiasm. It was contagious, she had to admit. Smiling at him she said, "I'm rather good at them, though it's been a little while since I last played." She shrugged. "And if you do a good job with it, you can be my drummer in real life." She winked at him knowingly.

She stopped dead in her tracks though at what Pretzel then told her. "You're leaving?" she asked, shocked. Sudden sadness was overtaking her. "You can't go, Pretzel!" She knew that she was being stupid and childish but she couldn't help it. Her and Miles were Lima's best friends.

She snorted at what Pretzel said about her brother though. "I shoud have known that you wouldn't have told him that you were tgoing to have guests."

Then looking at the different buildings and people around her she asked, "so where to first, guys?"

Ella stopped, widening her eyes at Miles, "Oh..man..what you called me?" she clapped her hands over her mouth, exclaimed. Sparkella! "Sparkella?!!" she said only to make her convince to the new name. "It's cool..name.., I owe you for this.." she said, winking and turned to Lima,

"Dont you know about her transfer?how come Lima?" Ella was surprised, how on earth Lima didnt know about this since she was the best friend of Zel. She shook her head in disbelievement..and about to explain more but got distracted by Zel. For purposefully?! Didnt know...

She was talking and walked out of the house for shopping with Zel and other two friends. "Who's inside Zel? seems irritated by our overwhelmed voices.." she giggled, Not sure of where to go first and what to buy. Hoping that Zel would guide her.

Rapunzel wanted to keep walking, on and on and on; she wanted to keep walking and never look back because she knew, she knew that Lima was going to upset. Like....SUPERupsetOMGhowCOULDyouIcan'tforgiveyouforthisoho hohohohno.

And it made her sad too. "Aww McShifty!" she said, sniffling and rushing to give her friend a hug - if she'd let her. She paused in front of Lima, arms outstretched, and started blubbering in one long breath.

"I wanted to tell you on the train when I found out but I couldn't find you before we got to Platform 9 and 3/4 and then we started training like right away in England and it was all really hard and busy but fun and then I only got a two week break to come visit my brother in Paris and I knew you were going to be here and I thought I should just wait to tell you in person instead of writing in a stupid owl letter and and and I'm so sorrrrrry."

Punz wiped her arm across her cheek and looked at Lima with sad eyes. "I'll still write to you? And and maybe come back and visit Hogsmeade occasionally?"

It was the best she could promise but it would have to do. This opportunity was too golden to pass up - surely her best friend would understand....

And while waiting for Lima's response, Rapunzel heard Ella still talking cheerfully even though she sounded about a million miles away. Punz turned towards her and Miles and pointed down the street a few blocks where a giant, gorgeous cathedral was sitting in the bright sunshine.

"Why don't we check that place out?" she muttered, still sad after breaking the news to Lima. "The Muggles call it Notre Dame, I think...."
