Chapter Four: Introspective
Personality: Introverted Teddy likes to bury his nose in books and writing, and is often caught spending more time in his imagination than reality. He is very timid and finds comfort in routine. But he is smart and logical, and can often talk himself through his fears, not overcoming them but managing them. He loves to learn, and researches many different things in his free time. He particularly enjoys muggle mathematics, history and chemistry, and subsequently arithmancy, history of magic, care of magical creatures and potions and is looking forward to starting those subjects.
He is good, kind, and loyal. He finds it difficult at times to open up to others, especially in a group setting, but once he has made a friend, he is loyal and takes his friendship responsibility very seriously.
He loves gobstones, and enjoys watching quidditch, though he hates flying. He is a bit of a sweet tooth and LOVES chocolate frogs, and he also collects the cards. He has his large collection organised into a folder, in numerical order, and has his spares organised the same way in a box. He enjoys trading them with other people. Chapter Six: History
Lisabel and Alexander, in their late forties, were surprised when they discovered they were about to be parents again. Theodore and Ava were born during the summer holidays, and their Uncle Archer and older siblings Dimitri and Zhenya visited them.
Their childhood was a bit odd. They had older parents, and their siblings had estranged themselves from their parents. Teddy and Ava didn’t see them for many years. From age 5-10 the twins went to the muggle primary school their mother taught at during the day, and at nights and on weekends they were taught about their other world, mainly by their father and uncle Archer and, later, their brother. They learned about Hogwarts, wands, boggarts and patronuses, plus all of the subjects that were taught at Hogwarts. Their childhood was not lonely, though. They had each other, the kids in the neighborhood and at school. The worst thing that happened to them was watching the effect of their older siblings leaving had on their parents, particularly their father, and at times the twins felt like they had to care for themselves.
Before they got their Hogwarts letters, something amazing happened. Dimitri came back, and with him came Alana and Keenan. This was good.

Home school
FIRST YEAR:
As the youngest Carrington child, Lux has always been treated as the baby. Because of this, her parents wanted her to receive her magical education through home schooling (despite the fact that both Lennon and Willa had attended Hogwarts). This has caused Lux to have been rather sheltered; most of her socializing was done with her family, though she also became friends with her next-door neighbour, Hazel Carmichael. As her mom did not want Lux performing magic in the house, this limited her experience with some subjects such as Charms and Transfiguration. As someone who is very active and more suited for practical work, this displeased Lux so she begged her parents to let her transfer over to Hogwarts until they finally agreed.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (2082 - 2087)
SECOND YEAR:
Newly transferred over to Hogwarts for her Second Year, Lux was excited about that fact that she could meet new people and improve on her learning experience. It did not take long for her to make friends; by the time she had reached Hogwarts for the first time, she had already made a bunch from socializing on the train. Shy in class at first, it took a little bit for Lux to get comfortable with the class setting. Charms and Transfiguration proved the hardest for her because of the practical nature of the subjects. A fast learner, it did not take her long to learn new spells and gain knowledge though Astronomy and Ancient Runes still proved to be rather difficult for her. A strange ageing epidemic occurred at Hogwarts that year, and Lux was one of the few people who was immune. One of the top point earners in Hufflepuff, she also got two awards at the end of the term: Muggle Superhero, and Aspiring Astronomer.
THIRD YEAR:
Lux started off her second term at Hogwarts happily, spending time with her friends and boyfriend. Two of her best friends were now with her in school (Cinnamon Bayless and Emmylou Duchannes), which made her very happy. Everything was perfect until the fall approached and things seemed colder than usual. The lake froze over and snow fell during the autumn. Animals began fleeing the Forbidden Forest; Lux had an incident with a mother and baby Unicorn in Hogsmeade and talked to a Centaur in the pathways who gave a warning that Hogwarts was now inhospitable. The weather got colder and colder, reaching Arctic temperatures, and during two simultaneous book club meetings sparks were seen coming from outside the castle. Mr. Kitridge along with Bay, Professor Fuller, and a few other students ventured outside to see what was going on and offer assistance. Heading into the Forbidden Forest, Mr. Kitridge and Bay were attacked by monsters (who turned out to be Chorts). Not knowing what had happened to her boyfriend when he went missing, Lux was very worried and searched everywhere until she finally found him in the Hospital Ward where he was out cold. Healer Tillstorm allowed her to visit him every day, and it took two weeks for him to wake up though he was still suffering a lot of pain. Lux continued to visit him every day up until he was released, and attended the research meeting held by Professor Flamsteed and Professor Botros. It was at the meeting that the possibilities of Chorts were discovered, which meant that the Ministry had to get involved. At the end of term there was a minor thaw which allowed students to leave the castle, and Lux happily headed home to enjoy the heat.
FOURTH YEAR:
After enjoying a nice summer holiday, it was time for Lux to head back to Hogwarts for her Fourth Year. Almost immediately she got a pleasant surprise when she found out on the train that her boyfriend had been made the Gryffindor Prefect. She was so proud of him and it made her even more excited for the term since she knew he would do an amazing job. For a short time everything at Hogwarts seemed to be going normally but then one day the Head Girl started acting strange, claiming to be Malificent and acting as if she was from a fairy tale. Soon others around the castle began acting strange as well; fairy tale characters coming to life staff and student alike. Lessons turned into insanity as Professor Flamsteed became Captain Hook, Professor Botros King Triton, and Professor Cassie the Evil Queen. A random Troll appeared in Potions class before vanishing again. At different times an old book would pop up, flipping its pages and casting an enticing glow and it didn't take long for Lux to piece together that this was responsible for all the strange occurrences at school. At the fireworks show held at the term's Prefect Event, the book made an appearance first turning Professor Culloden into Beast and then the Groundskeeper into The Giant. Lux picked up the book in hopes of destroying it but got sucked in. Under the book's spell she believed herself to be Ariel from The Little Mermaid, snapping out of it during an Arithmancy lesson and having a mini breakdown when she realized that a chunk of time was missing from her memory. It took friends informing her of her behaviour for her to realize what had happened. It was shortly after that the staff and students began a hunt for the book during a book club. Splitting up into groups, the school was searched with no success and everyone regrouped in the library. Different ideas to trap the book were discussed, with it finally being decided to use a Capturing Ward. At this time the smell of buns came from within the room, and some chose to investigate while others (Lux among them) stayed with Professor Botros to help create the Ward. With the book successfully trapped it was unable to vanish and reappear elsewhere but it still managed to send out flying carpets and other nuisances. These attacked those who were assembled until the Head Girl talked to it and somehow said what the book wanted to hear which was 'happily ever after'. Repeating after her, everyone said the words until everything the book had sent towards them disappeared and it was able to be bound shut. All that the book wanted was to give people their happily ever after.
FIFTH YEAR:
With Bay gone, Hogwarts just wasn't the same for Lux though she did have her amazing friends to help her through the term and she was very thankful for them. Missing her boyfriend a lot and already stressing about the upcoming OWLS, Lux looked forward to any distraction that she could be given. Studying and joining the newly formed Cartography club seemed like a good idea on top of seeing her friends, so she jumped right to it. Mapping Hogwarts floor by floor seemed like an awesome idea - especially when there was a professional cartographer at the school to help them do it. Problems arose, however, when her group got into some trouble at the Weasley Swamp: seemed that the swamp had decided to swell up to its original size which meant that the only way across was through the use of boats. On op of that secret passages were discovered; one led to the house elf quarters and another lead to the Hufflepuff common room. The biggest event was finding a way into the Chamber of Secrets. It was both exciting and fascinating exploring the chamber, but they couldn't stay for long. A set of stairs was fount heading upwards, and through exploring it they made their way up to the lake. Much less exciting was taking her OWLs, but she managed to get very good scores and was very proud of herself for what she had achieved.

SIXTH YEAR:
A break from studying meant that Lux could enjoy herself more, but she was still trying her best to keep herself distracted and in a way missed studying because it was a great way to keep her mind occupied. Soon enough she had other things to distract her. Hogwarts slowly became very dusty even though the house elves regularly cleaned, people were getting bitten, and worst of all pets were disappearing. Worst incident was when the hippogriffs got spooked while Lux's group was mapping part of the grounds for the Cartography Club. Henry ran off towards the Forbidden Forest, taking off with the groundskeeper on his back. While the professors and of age students went off to investigate, Lux stayed behind with Gabriel Banner. It was then that she spotted a dead bird in the snow. She wanted to tell the professors, but didn't know how to when they were in the forest and the Headmistress had joined them there. The occurrence was eventually driven from her mind, and on one fateful day Lux had decided to use Moaning Myrtles washroom. It was there that she had spotted the Chamber of Secrets open. Wanting to get in touch with her Gryffindor side, Lux immediately took the plunge while not knowing that Cinnamon had seen her and followed behind to look out for her. Lux was sure that she heard her friend Damien somewhere, but he didn't reply to her calls - instead she heard what sounded like something walking on bones. Freaked out, she tried to make it to the stairs with Cinnamon, but they were grabbed by creatures that looked like giant spiders. In the struggle to blast them and get free she ended up dropping her wand which made her completely defenseless. The Acromantulas took the girls to their web in the forest where they were kept for days while being fed in order to fatten up. Lux barely ate so she became very weak, but she was not going to let the spiders eat her and Cinnamon. Eventually the Headmistress and a few other students joined them and were tossed onto the web, but it was not long after that the rescue party arrived and saved them. Taken back to the great hall, Lux was tended to but nothing helped her emotionally. Now she was more determined than ever to go home to Bay and her family. She knew that once she left Hogwarts at the end of term she was never coming back.
Home school
SEVENTH YEAR:
Going back to homeschooling was something that Lux could never picture herself doing when she was younger, but after everything that had happened she was thrilled for the chance. She had been over school since Bay left and the acromantulas had made things worse, so it was amazing that she could now see her family and her boyfriend a lot more while staying safe in the process. The only drawback to it has been missing her friends that are still at Hogwarts, but she has seen them every time she got the chance to. Preparing for NEWTs is very stressful, but she takes her studying very seriously and as a result feels more confident that she will do well on them than she did when it came to her OWLs.

"Is there something wrong with my face?" she asked before starting to look through her purse for a mirror. It wouldn't be nice if she had something in her teeth or on her face. She didn't want to walk around Diagon Alley looking silly.
There were so many things in her purse, she had to start pulling some out. As she looked, she continued talking. "Oh, that's great that your mom started letting you have sweets." If only Bay's parents had done the same thing; then he could get to eat as much as he wanted while at home without having to sneak them. "You can come and see them whenever you want." Either before school started or during the Christmas holidays.
Extracting two books, she forgot about looking for the mirror. "Oh, I have two things I want to show you." She had also planned to show Zhenya among other people.
Oh no, Lux had realised he was looking at her. His eyes widened and he quickly looked back to his food, resting his head on his hand. "No, of course not. Sorry..." he said quickly, putting another spoon of the pie in his mouth. Her face had nothing but beauty on it. And she had caught him looking at her.
"It is! If she hadn't... well... I never would have had so many chocolate frog cards. And I love those." If he hadn't enjoyed the chocolate frogs, he wasn't sure what everyone would have bought him as a treat. He could? That pulled a big smile to his face. "That would be very nice, Lux. I'll send you an owl and... my mum or dad might apparate me there." He didn't know where she lived but Zhenya said it wasn't too far from her. Well, actually, he could always meet Zhenya, then go there with Zhenya. "Or I can come with Zhenya."
"You do? What... what are they?" he asked, sitting up a little straighter to see what she was... maybe soon pulling out of her bag. There was a lot of stuff in there. It was HUGE! Where did it all go?

Oh, what a relief. Lux could focus on other things instead of worrying about something being on her face. She didn't even think to wonder why he had been looking at her.
She smiled as he continued to talk about the cards. She could tell that he really liked collecting them. "Oh, me too! When did you have your first Chocolate Frog?" she asked curiously. She couldn't remember when she had her first one, but it had definitely been before she started Hogwarts. She could remember buying some with Bay on her first train ride to the school. That was the day that they had met, and she had fooled him into thinking that she loved Cockroach Clusters. Good times. "That sounds great! When I learn how to apparate I can always do that with you. I'm not sure when I'm going to go for my lessons." She really didn't like that form of travel, so she wasn't exactly jumping at the chance to learn; she just felt that it was a necessary ability to have.
Lux nodded. Finally she pulled out the books. "Well, this one is the memory book that I created. I did it myself since I didn't get a chance to write in the proper one." That had made her sad, but at least she had gotten a chance to make her own. Bay had been the first person to see it.

Teddy felt himself relax as she seemed to get off the topic of why he was looking at her. Good. He didn't have to worry about coming up with a reason as to why he was looking at her beautiful face.
"I got my first one on my seventh birthday. I remember my mum and dad having an argument, actually... I think that was why she decided it was okay for us to start having sweets. What about you?"
He grinned at her. "That would be cool. I don't think Zhenya has her apparition licence either. She said they hadn't taught it at Hogwarts when she had been of age." That was a shame. Teddy hoped he would have his apparition test at Hogwarts. "Do you not know where you're going to study?"
Teddy very carefully took the book from Lux. It was very nice. She said it was a memory book, and he vaguely knew what that was, but flipping through it, he realised it was full of her! Her different things... "This is really nice, Lux."

Oh. His seventh birthday. That was lovely. Lux had the feeling that Teddy had been the cutest little kid ever. He was really adorable now, and probably would be for his whole life. She just wanted to give him the biggest hugs! "I think I had my first one when I was eight! My brother brought some back from Diagon Alley, and he let me have some of his." Lennon was awesome like that. "They have been my favourite candy ever since!" That was all his fault. Hehe.
She nodded as he explained how Zhenya hadn't gotten her license. "I don't really want to get mine, but I feel that I should. I'd rather floo or drive my car." Unfortunately that wasn't an option and she hadn't been at Hogwarts last term to take the lessons. Not complaining because she would rather be at home and there was no way she regretted the decision. "I'm hoping that they make the testing available at places like Hogsmeade so that me and Zhenya can take the lessons together." That was something that they had discussed doing.
Watching him as he looked over her book she could tell that he liked it. He wasn't just saying that. Lux smiled at him. "Thanks! See, I wrote something for you." She was sure that would please Teddy. Maybe it would brighten his day to see how much she cared about him.

Well that was really cool, her brother had been the one to introduce Lux to chocolate frogs. "My brother introduced me to pasta," Teddy said. He owned a restaurant and they made the BEST pasta. He was glad to hear that they were her favourite sweet thing too, because it was just another thing they had in common. The list was really getting longer.
"You don't want to get yours? How come?" he asked... and... "You have a CAR?" That was awesome! He'd only been in a few cars, but they were quite fascinating. "That would be good. I hope they do. I think I'd like to get my apparition license." Yes, he would. It would make travel much easier.
Teddy read the entry about him, and felt his face heat up. He was sure an egg could be cooked on it. "Y-you wrote all of this about me?" he asked, his eyes wide as he looked up at her.

Lux giggled as Teddy told her that his brother introduced him to pasta. "Pasta is yummy. I just love food in general." Yep, she and her boyfriend had food on the brain. It was absolutely wonderful.
What wasn't as nice was thinking about Apparation. "I just...don't really like it much. It feels weird. I don't really care for Portkeys either." Portkeys were a lot worse; they SCARED her. She shuddered. "I feel like I'm falling and it terrifies me." It wasn't nice at all. Thank Merlin the experience lasted only seconds. She was much happier driving her car. "Oh, yes! I thought you knew about that. My parents got it for me as a late birthday present! For my 17th birthday." So she had it for about a year now. "It's wonderful. I love my car!" She beamed. "I am sure you will get it easily in Seventh Year!" she told him.
She could see that her entry made him happy. That was nice because Lux knew that Teddy didn't get much kindness from people outside his family. It made her sad because he deserved it. "Of course I did. And it's all true." Every word. She gave him a hug.

And then Teddy laughed at what Lux had said. Pasta and food are good. He nodded. "Well without food we would die, so it's important. And a good thing you love food. I like food too. Especially my mum's pirozhki and borscht. But Dima is good at Italian cooking. M-maybe you can come over one night and try? Russian and Italian." It was very good.
"Oh... I don't know what it feels like," he said. He wished he did so that he could tell Lux that he agreed with her. But he couldn't, and he wouldn't lie. They walked everywhere, or got the floo network. Sometimes they got the bus or trains. Oh, but he COULD relate to the falling. He sat up straight and said "I hate that feeling too! It feels like my organs are wobbling about."
Maybe he did know? He couldn't remember... "Oh," he said. He SHOULD remember if he knew, but he couldn't. "What is it?" he asked. Not that he knew cars at all, but she seemed very excited to talk about her car, and he would listen to anything she said. He smiled "I hope so too," he said.
Teddy beamed at Lux and returned her hug, feeling happy as happy could be!

It was nice that Teddy seemed to enjoy food too. Lux LOVED food. It was one of her favourite things. "I could eat food forever! I love it!" She was so happy to think of eating. Shame she had finished her turkey sandwich so quickly. She pouted. But Teddy was inviting her over for dinner. That was so sweet of him. "I would love that," she said with a warm smile. He seemed so shy.
Frowning slightly, she tried to think of a way to put the feeling into words. It was really hard to. "It's not very nice at all. Portkeys are worse. They make me want to cry because I feel like I'm falling and I am terrified of heights." It was one of her greatest fears. It had been the worst until she had almost lost Bay. "Yes! That feeling is the worst, isn't it?" She shuddered.
She preferred talking about her car. "It's a pink Bentley convertible!" Very snazzy and she loved it. She was going to drive that car forever. "Do you want to see it some time? We can go for a ride if you want." It was okay if he said no, but she WAS a good driver and she promised that she would keep him safe. She wouldn't let anything happen to him.
As he hugged her back, Lux patted his back. Teddy seemed to be in a much better mood than he had been earlier. Good. She was doing the trick! "I'm glad you're happy. I also want to show you my portfolio. I want to ask people what they think about it before I send it in..." She had been told that it looked good, but she was still unsure. She really wanted to be a model like her sister. Willa was the more beautiful one.
She handed the book over to Teddy so he could tell her what he thought.

Teddy laughed some more. Lux seemed really into food. He smiled at her when she said she would like to come to his house and have some Russian food. "I'll ask my mum. She will say yes, I know she will. Or... or Zhenya and Sophia cook a lot of Russian food too. That's... that's my cousin," he said. He couldn't remember if he had mentioned her before. He didn't want Lux to think he had other women in his life. Nope, just his mother, aunties, cousins, and sisters.
Teddy gasped, putting his hand over his mouth as Lux explained what it was like. "Heights are one of my greatest fears too," he said quietly. He would almost shudder at the thought. He hated flying. He hated the play equipment that required one to climb. He hated swinging high. "It's the worst. The absolute worst." The falling he felt when he was flying, and descending, and swinging as well. No thank you.
Wow. Teddy didn't know cars, but he knew what pink looked like, he knew what a convertible was, and he was imagining something very.. well, very LUX. "I'd really like to go for a drive with you," he said with a happy grin.
Teddy was wondering what sort of portfolio she had, and then his jaw dropped. He looked at all of the photos of Lux. He made some sort of noise, which didn't mean anything other than... Holy Merlin she's beautiful...

The thought of eating dinner with the Burtons made Lux happy. She adored Teddy and his sister, and she was sure that she was going to be fond of the rest of the family as well! "I would love to. I can't wait. I like the Russian food that I have eaten, but it has been a while." Lux was really missing Ana.
HE WAS TERRIFIED OF HEIGHTS TOO! She hadn't known that, and it was nice to know someone who understood how she felt. Everyone was supportive of course...but it was different because they couldn't relate on a personal level. Bay was amazing though - like always. She was the luckiest girl in the world. "It is! I'm so glad that I'm not alone, because most people think that if I fly on a broom for a bit it will just go away." It wasn't like that. Not at all. And he got that.
"Yeah, we can go whenever you want!" Beam. She loved driving in her car and would offer rides to all of the people she loved. "We can even go somewhere if you want." Maybe the library? Nothing wrong with reading more books.
Teddy's jaw dropped and he made a weird noise. Lux wasn't sure what that meant? "Is it good then?" She really wasn't sure...

Teddy was delighted with this plan. He said "Good! I'll... I'll talk to my mother and I'll owl you a date. It might be during the summer holidays or even next summer, if we don't get time before." He hoped it was before. He would make sure his family were on the best of behaviour!
He shook his eyes, a completely serious look on his face. "No, it doesn't go away, does it? I get more and more scared every time I get on a broom." So that was a no for using brooms for trying to get over his fear. "You're definitely not alone. I've looked it up, and it's quite a common fear." He didn't want her to feel alone. HE experienced it, and many other people too.
"Really? Do... do you have it here?" he asked, his eyes excited. Maybe they could go for a drive somewhere, like Lux said. He didn't know where he would like to go with her... the possibilities were diverse!
Teddy closed his mouth and cleared his throat. He did a little nod, not able to peel his eyes off the pages of her modelling. Although, if he did look up he got to look at Lux in real life. So he did that. He looked up at the real life form of Lux. "It's... very very good, Lux," he said, his voice slightly higher than it had been a minute ago.

Looked like it was settled. Lux was pleased. "Yeah, sounds good! It shouldn't be a problem because I don't have any huge plans for the summer." She was taking it easy before the stress of university began. "I'm sure it will be lovely." Teddy seemed to be looking forward to it just as much as she was.
Lux sighed. He was right about that. "Why do you get on a broom, Teddy?" Lux frowned. She didn't think that it was right for him to do that when he was so scared of heights. "I'm glad I'm not alone and I mean we are in it together." She gave Teddy a small smile. It made her feel better to know that they were both experiencing the same thing so she wasn't by herself.
Nodding, she was pleased to see how excited he looked. Maybe Teddy liked cars? Lux wasn't sure though she knew that he was a Pureblood like his sister. "Yeah, is there anywhere you want to go?" She would take him wherever he wanted.
So he liked her pictures. That made Lux happy, but she noticed the change in his voice. Was he...going through those changes? It was hard for her not to giggle, but she managed to keep a straight face. "You all right, Teddy?" He was acting a little odd.

Teddy smiled. It would hopefully be this summer then! He was just imagining her being able to come over next weekend and spend the evening with him and his family. That would be a lot of fun. He would ask his mother as soon as he got home.
"Well... well sometimes I try to fly a bit with Ava, but mostly I get so scared. And we went to Quidditch camp a few years ago and I had to fly then." It had been one of the most terrifying times of his life. Teddy returned Lux's smile. They were in it together. It was nice to be able to talk to someone who understood his fears, instead of people who didn't share the fear, or who didn't try to understand.

It was nice to see Teddy smile. "I am really glad we can do this," she told him. Meaning lunch and the dinner. Lux knew that she and Teddy would be the best of friends. It was a feeling that she had in her gut, and she didn't care that he was younger than her. Age didn't matter in relationships - whether they were romantic or platonic.
As he explained why he sometimes flew on a broom, she nodded. "I tried that ages ago with one of my friends. Actually, I was in Second Year at the time! It's funny looking back at that time." Before she had kissed boys and realized how she felt about Bay... That had all happened a little later in that term. "But why did you go to Quidditch Camp?" She frowned. Not cool when he was so scared to fly. "Well, we're in it together." Smiling at him warmly, she gave his hand an affectionate pat. She could just imagine how scared he got because it happened to her too.
"We can definitely go to Stonehenge! I have always wanted to go there." An opportunity had never come up though, sadly.
Why was he stuttering? Lux decided not to draw attention to it because she knew he wouldn't be comfortable with it. Instead, she nodded. "I'm glad you think they are lovely." She was pleased that people thought that she had done a good job and could be a model. Closing the book, she made to put it back in her bag.

"Me too," Teddy replied, taking a sip of his drink. "We could also probably watch a movie or some TV or something together. I have a lot of DVDs." Was she into watching movies or TV shows?
He smiled as he listened to her speaking about when she was in second grade, the same year he was going into. "Did you dislike flying as soon as you tried it?" he asked. Quidditch camp? "W-well... Ava suggested it and then my mum and dad thought it was a good idea. And Zhenya loves flying so I thought... well, I thought if we were doing it in a controlled environment it wouldn't be so bad. But... well, it was." He smiled and nodded at her when she said they were in this together. It made him feel better.
Teddy was happy about being able to go to Stonehenge. "Oh great! I've always wanted to go as well!" He had seen photos of it but never actually seen it in person.
Teddy almost frowned when she went to put the book away. "CAN I HAVE A PHOTO?" he blurted out, and slapped his hand over his mouth, his eyes wide in shock. Yes. Yes he actually did ask her for a photo. "Uh... I just have a little cork board in my room wh-where I h-have photos of... of my friends and family," he said, hoping that would take away any weirdness. In truth, he DID have a cork board full of things, but there were only a few photos. And they were of his family.

Oh. Watching tv or a movie sounded like it might be nice too. Not just might - WOULD. "Yeah, that sounds great. I love watching movies." So she was totally up to watching some with Teddy and the rest of his family. Or tv, though she didn't watch as much of that.
Taking a sip of her water, she thought about his question. "Well...I suppose the first time I tried flying was when I was three and got a toy broomstick for Christmas." She laughed as she remembered how much she loved flying on it. "You know, I can't remember when I first started feeling terrified of heights, but hovering just above the ground never was a problem." It was when Tessa had her going higher and higher that it had really became a problem. "Well, I hope you don't have to fly again." She frowned. Ava better not keep pushing him to do it just because she wanted to. His sister seemed nice enough, but still... Not cool.
The smile returned as he said that he hadn't been to Stonehenge either. "Well, we can go as soon as we are done here." There was loads of time for them to do it before she saw her boyfriend later. in the meantime her time was devoted to Teddy and making him feel better.
Lux's eyes widened as Teddy yelled out that he wanted a photo, but a moment later she was giggling. He seemed so shocked and awkward after making the request; it was so adorable. "It's okay, Teddy. I think it's sweet that you want to put my picture up with the rest of your friends and family." She handed the book back over to him. "Pick the one you want and I will make a copy of it for you."

"Great," Teddy said. "I can... I can make sure we have the TV room free that night. Or we have the guest house. There's a TV in there." He knew they wouldn't both be busy, so they would get at least one to watch something on.
Teddy smiled when Lux started to laugh. He thought about a toy broomstick, but all of the potential disasters that could happen made him decide against it. Someone could hex it, or he could loose control of it. No, best to stay away from all brooms. "I do too. I don't want to fly again. I didn't even take flying lessons last year." Nor was he going to take them this year.
"Well, I'm finished. Are you done?" he asked. "Where about's did you park your car?" he was curious as to where a witch parked her car when going to Diagon Alley. Were there only muggle carparks, or were there ones for witches and wizards?
Teddy gulped when Lux started giggling, but he was glad she said he could have a photo. He couldn't stop the grin spreading across his face as he picked one out, and put it between the pages of his book, to prevent it creasing. "Thank you," he said, feeling very happy indeed.

This was going to be amazing. Lux was looking forward to this. "I would love that and you could show me some more of your house?" Mostly she had just seen the living room and Teddy's bedroom because he had shown her his Sherlock Holmes stuff and let her wear his deer stalker.
Sighing, she nodded at what Teddy said. "And you won't have to. If anyone tries to make you fly they will have to deal with me." It was not right to do that to someone who didn't want to, and she had a feeling that Zhenya would not approve of it either. If Teddy wanted to get over this fear - and she wasn't yet sure if he did - there were better ways for him to do it.
"I'm done too!" she said after finishing the last bits of her water. "Thank you again for buying me lunch when you didn't have to." It was really sweet of him to do that when she hadn't been sure how much money he had. The boy was only 12 so it wasn't as if he had a job or anything. Then again she didn't either but her family was wealthy... "I parked it just outside of Diagon Alley." It should be safe. Or at least she hoped. She would go ballistic if anything happened to her car.
He seemed so happy that he had a picture of her. "I'm glad you like me enough to want my photo on your cork board." Lux knew that they were going to be the best of friends and was sure that he felt the same way.

Teddy nodded, "Yes! I can! We have a lot of rooms," he said. It was a very large house. And he could give her the grand tour!
Teddy smiled sheepishly, and looked down to his lap. "Thanks," he said quietly. He felt happy and comforted by the fact that someone else had come along, into his life, and was helping him.
Teddy got up and put the rubbish in the bin. "Oh, no, that's okay," he said. He had been only too glad to be able to buy Lux some lunch. His Uncle Archer would be proud of him. It was, after all, his advice. He walked alongside Lux, out of Diagon Alley.
"Well, y-you can have one of me, too. If... if you'd like," he said, although he felt a little shy about saying such a thing. But, that's what friends and... more, did. They had photos. Zhenya had had photos of people, both friends and people who were more than friends. So did his other family members.

Lux was really happy that she had decided to have lunch with Teddy. Not only had she managed to cheer him up, but they had also made plans to see Stonehenge and have dinner together one night. The Burtons were amazing and she was looking forward to meeting the rest of the family.
Smiling, she got up from her chair and pushed it in. "Of course I would like a photo of you!" She liked having photos of her friends and loved ones. She had tons with Bay, but then he was her boyfriend and her love.
"Off to Stonehenge!" she announced, giggling.

Scene Two: Lux and Teddy spend some time at Stonehenge where they speculate on how it came to be.
So this was it: Stonehenge.
To a lot of people it might look like a plain assortment of old and really damaged stone slabs, but to Lux is was FASCINATING. Teddy must feel the same way about it as she did. They both seemed to love this stuff.
A huge factor was how it had come to be; all this time had passed and people STILL couldn't figure out why it had been built. Maybe they could have a little bit of fun with it, she thought as she walked around the structure, taking it in.
Looking at Teddy, she smiled. "Want to pretend to be Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson? We can try to solve the mystery of Stonehenge." He would say yes, right? Please?

"Wow, your car was really great," he said to her as he got out and carefully closed the door. He didn't even mind that it was pink!
He walked with her towards the stone slabs and looked at them in awe. He loved seeing Stonehenge. Well, at least the photos. This was their first time seeing it in real life. "Woooooooow," he breathed out.
He giggled at Lux's suggestion to be Sherlock and Doctor Watson. "Yes! I'd love to! Who do you want to be?" he asked. He wouldn't even mind who he was. It would be so much fun!

He liked her car? That made Lux smile. "Thanks! You can ride in it whenever you want." So long as he wasn't in school at the time, but that went without saying. Bay also liked the car though he wouldn't drive it. Haha. Boys and their needing to be utterly masculine; she found it endearing coming from her boyfriend.
Of course Teddy was up for playing make belief. Seemed like the idea made him even happier than he was a moment ago - and that was saying quite a bit as she knew that seeing things like this made him feel better. "Well, since you are the expert on him, you can be Holmes. I'll be Watson." Giggling, she used her right index finger to make a fake mustache.

The fact that Lux said she could ride in her car whenever he wanted made him grin like a Cheshire cat. "Wow, thanks!" he said. "We can have so many adventures!" He was looking forward to them. But for now he had to focus on the present.
And that was solving the mystery of Stonehenge.
"Well okay then dear Watson," Teddy said, in a deeper man voice, seeing as his own voice hadn't broken yet. He giggled when Lux held a finger up to her lip as a moustache. "Oh I say, shall we have a look around?" he asked, mimicking a gentlemanly walk up to one of the stones, bending down to touch the ground around it and tracing a finger over the stone.
