So, this started out as my first RP. I think that it had a pretty good turn out, but then it just kinda...died. So I thought I'd start it up again, and hopefully it doesn't die

So it's the same thing as before, with just a few minor plot changes

Plot: For this RPG Harry defeated Voldemort in the summer after his sixth year. Now the Trio and Ginny face a new worry: N.E.W.T.S. Ginny was excelling in school, so if she passes her Newts (in her sixth year) she doesnt need to attend school for her seventh year.

Harry and Ginny are now together, but Hermione and Ron too, but they are having trouble. Ron's mind continuously flickers to Lavender, and Hermione's accaisionally strays to Draco. And Harry, being the stubborn, overly-protective person he is, has his mind dead set on the thought that if he and Ginny are together, he'll distract her from her schoolwork - and he doesn't want that to happen.

So with all the drama buzzing around Hogwarts, how will our story end? Happily ever after? Or something...well, not. It's all up to you guys!

Harry noticed the impatience adorning Ginny's features as she took a glance at the pitch. Why did he always do this sort of thing? He turned back to Cassie. "Well, anyway. You should come over for some quidditch. Even if you don't want to come right away.." He gave a one-shouldered shrug and took Ginny's wrist before heading towards the pitch. "See you soon, Cassie!" He called over his shoulder, then smiled as he looked to Ginny. "Sorry, Gin. Got carried away."

Ginny shrugged as they walked away from Cassie. "Oh, it's fine Harry." she said with a small smile. It's not like being nice was a bad thing. She smiled as she sped up, half dragging him toward the quidditch pitch. "I bet I can beat you in a race around the stadium, though." she said challenging, walking backwards to look at him.

Harry's lips pulled up in a smile. "You're on." He jogged over to the pitch and glanced around for his broom. Once he spotted it, he gripped the broom and mounted it. "Just say 'Go,' Ginny."

Ginny grinned as she followed Harry into the pitch, and mounted her broom. She kicked up into the air and did a few small circles. "Ready?" she asked, facing around the way she wanted to go. She smiled slyly at him before yelling "GO!" She leaned way forward on her broom as she shot forward around the pitch.

Harry shoved off the ground and went straight off around the pitch. He lowered his shoulders closer to the broom as the wind swept his hair around into a black whirlwind. His green eyes took a glance at Ginny; they were neck and neck as the passed the halfway mark.

Ron watched his best friend and sister race around the pitch with a smile on his face; oh how he'd love to see Harry get beaten - just this once. Though he was eager to get in the air himself, he didn't want to mess up their race, so he sat down with his back to one of the goalposts and ran a hand through his getting-too-long flaming red hair as he watched the last few seconds pass by.

Ginny gave an exhilarated laugh as Harry passed her, leaning even lower down over her broom. She'd love to beat Harry - and she would beat him, too. They were really close - almost there.

And then she won. "Whoo!" she cheered as she made it past where they started, Harry just behind her. "Nice race." she said cheerfully, looking back to her boyfriend.

"Darn, you got me," Harry admitted with a smile as he looked Ginny's way. "And thanks. You too." He matted down his windswept hair as he hovered on his broomstick, though the action seemed to help very little. "Why's Ron not flying?" He looked down at his mate and called down to him. "Hey, Ron! Fancy flying up here, or are you set on staying down there with Hermione?"

Nice to see you finally beat him! Ron shouted up to his sister with a grin before answering Harry. I'll be up soon, he yelled, standing up and looking around, but no one was in sight. Sighing slightly, he mounted his broom and kicked off.

Ginny laughed quietly and did a few loop-dee-loops on her broom out of boredom. She went still as her brother flew up to join her and Harry, and then she flew the short distance between her and the two seventh year boys.

"So what're we going to do?" she asked happily. "Play a game or just practice?" she looked to Harry, who was the Gryffie quidditch captain still.

Harry gave a smile as he realized Ron was joining them. He then turned to Ginny with a response. "Well.. we don't have too many people, but we could do a 1 v 2 thing?" He suggested, looking back between the siblings. "Like, we could alternate teams, so one person isn't always alone."

Ron shrugged; either way, he would have to deal with their constant flirting. Or you two could just stay together so it won't hurt so bad when I cream you, he said with a grin, knowing that he would be better dealt with them if he was further away.

Hermione walked up the steps to the bleachers and sat down to watch her friends play quidditch. There was no way she would get on a broom, but she didn't mind watching the game though. She sat down and pulled out her book to start studying.

Harry's eyes jumped to Hermione, then returned to Ron. "Well, that's one idea," he began. "But I don't know, Ron. Now that I think about it, maybe you should be doing some studying instead of flying. Merlin knows you need help in potions.. and I think Hermione just happens to be looking over her notes." And just to further egg his friend on, he flew closer to Ginny and wrapped his arm tightly around her. "Unless you want to bear a whole game with us?" He grinned and placed a kiss on Ginny's temple.

Ginny grinned mischievously when Harry hugged her, knowing that it would bug Ron. She glanced knowingly at Hermione, then at her brother, just as Harry mentioned 'bearing the whole game with them'. She knew Ron didn't like being around them when they actually acted like they were dating, and not just friends.

"I bet Hermione wouldn't mind some company..." she said pointedly, grinning when Harry kissed her.

Ron rolled his eyes both at Harry's words and actions before flying over to Hermione and landing beside her. He gave her a tentative smile. What are you studying? he asked, his smile widening slightly.

Ginny watched her brother as he went to Hermione, hoping that she didn't, in fact, mind the company. She looked away quickly, though, not wanting to seem nosy. And besides, she had other things to think about.

"So, Harry," she said brightly, her head still facing forward considering Harry was right there. "Now what?"

Harry smiled; he knew Ron would have to take the bait. He wasn't actually sure if Hermione really had been studying potions, but he supposed it didn't matter too much.. Ron did need help in a few classes besides Snape's. Realizing that he was still quite close to Ginny, he pulled back a little as he felt his face flush slightly. "Up to you," he told her. Hermione's study habits jogged his memory of the O.W.L.s, and as he hovered in the air on his broomstick, a surge a guilt had washed over him - maybe being Ginny's boyfriend went hand in hand with being her obstacle?

"Hmm," Ginny mused, flying around in a large circle around Harry as she thought about what to do. "Wanna play some catch? I'm sure as captain you can go get a quaffle, can'tcha?" She looked over at him, and frowned slightly, upon seeing his expression. It was that expression that showed he was thinking...thinking about something that would most likely end up not good.

Being lost in tunnel-vision, Harry barely noticed Ginny flying circles around him as he sat in thought. Fortunately, he managed to hear the last couple of words. "Oh, erm.. I don't know," he answered with a shrug. Anything to do with quidditch and Ginny always appealed to him, but he felt it necessary to turn down the game. "I just remembered.. I think I actually have this exam tomorrow, and I really need to study for it." He swallowed and gave a nod. "It's in Herbology." And he wasn't lying completely; Professor Sprout did have a test scheduled for the next day.

Ginny's frown deepened when he declined the game he'd seemed like he wanted to play, and she sighed. There was no use arguing with him - he was stubborn, and Ginny had to accept that. She gave him a knowing look. "You're passing up quidditch for studying? Herbology?" She rolled her eyes.

"Alright." she said, already lessening in altitude. "Mind if I study with you? Or do you want to go at it alone?"

The attitude and incredulity was expected, but Harry was glad when she didn't argue. "You can come," he answered a little to readily. He was anxious to keep himself from holding Ginny back, but he wasn't about to decline her company. After all, she could study her own material. "Yeah," he began, as they descended. "I'd probably put it off until later.. but you know. Hermione won't give me any help this time." The hopped off the broom as they reached the ground. "I think she's trying to ween me off of my reliance on her intelligence. Just a tad, at least," he smiled.

Ginny's smile returned when Harry told her she could study with him. Sure, studying was far from Quidditch...but oh well, it was something. She vaguely wondered where Harry's sudden worry about the exam had come from - he hadn't been thinking about it at all when they were all going to play quidditch. Well, his brain worked in mysterious ways, and Ginny would just have to deal with it. Sigh.

She laughed quietly and nodded her head at Harry's statement. Glancing up at her best friend and brother, she put her broom over her shoulder. "Well, you need to learn to live without her writing all your papers, I think." she teased, raising an eyebrow at Harry. She took a deep breath as they exited the pitch and made their ways back to the castle. "So, Herbology for you? I think I'll do..." she made a face as she tried to think of what to study. She really didn't want to study anything. "I think I'll sit around and do nothing while you study, kay?" she suggested, grinning.

"Yeah, I suppose you're right," Harry admitted as he walked backed to the castle with Ginny, letting his broomstick drag on the grass. "But it is my seventh year.. she might as well just not break my habit so late in the game." They had reached the entrance hall when Ginny decided that she'd 'sit around and do nothing' as he did his herbology studying. As if his plan could have backfired any worse. "Nothing? Ginny, you've probably got tons of stuff to study for. Sixth year is packed with exams and.. confusing material." Realizing that he probably sounded more like Hermione than himself, he added, "Plus, you're bound to distract me if you're only hanging out." He smiled over at her. "I'll end up kissing you instead of studying."

Aha! Ginny looked away from him before she made a face. Now she knew why he was suddenly worried about her schoolwork. Because she was taking her NEWTs this year. He was worried about doing the thing that he just told her she was going to do. Distract. Hmph.

"I don't think I'd mind that, you know." she told him, making her voice light and happy when he spoke about kissing her instead of studying. "I don't want to study." she continued. "It's the first day back!" To stop herself from whining, and to prevent Harry from making some excuse to study alone, then, Ginny added, "Alright. I have a Defense Against the Dark Arts paper due in a week. I guess I'll get started with that."
