Divination

“Open your minds and delve into the beyond,” came Professor Trelawney’s misty voice. “See the danger that comes upon you. Some of you will die before you turn twenty.”
“Old bat,” muttered Hermione under her breath.
“I’m sorry,” said Trelawney snappishly.
“Oh nothing,” said Hermione trying to prevent herself from grinning. “Just clearing my throat.”
“As I was saying, those born in September are subject to slow, painful deaths in the next month,” said Professor Trelawney.
“Erm, Professor,” said Hermione. “I have bad news.”
“Yes.”
“Well, I’m sorry for you, because you were born in September,” said Hermione smiling.

Ancient Runes

“Okay, class, you have fifteen minutes, begin, now,” said the professor.
Hermione Granger was working quietly when she felt a tap on her shoulder; she turned around and saw that Dean Thomas was standing there.
“Could you help me with this?” he asked.
“Sure,” said Hermione. “What’s the trouble?”
“Did I write “I want soup for dinner” correctly?”
Hermione looked the paper over for a minute and suddenly she began to laugh.
“What is it?” asked Dean nervously. “What did I get wrong?”
“Nothing really, you just wrote “My teacher is an evil man-eating shark” though,” squeaked Hermione.

Homework

(Hermione Dreaming)

“Miss Granger, where is your homework?” asked Professor McGonagall sternly.
“I gave it to you,” said Hermione.
“Miss Granger, you are smart, you would know that you have not handed your work in for a month,” continued McGonagall. “I have no choice, but to expel you from Hogwarts, your dreams of becoming a Healer are gone,” she said laughing. She laughed louder, and louder, until Hermione couldn’t take it any more.
She was awake now and Professor McGonagall was leaning over her, “Congratulations, Miss Granger, your homework got the highest grade in class,” she said.
Hermione grinned.

Chocolate


“Hermione, what are you doing?” asked Harry.
“Harry, I finally made a potion that transforms anything into my favorite food, which is chocolate,” said Hermione beaming. “Watch this.”
She took a piece of meat from a packet and poured a gooey, purple concoction from a beaker. For a moment nothing happened, but then the meat glowed and it disappeared, in its place lay a large slab of milk chocolate.
“Let me try,” said Harry.
He took the chocolate and began to eat it. He chocked and said “This still tastes like meat.”
“Back to the drawing board,” sighed Hermione.

Animagus

“Ok, just cast the charm once and I’ll be an Animagus,” said Hermione to herself. She waved her wand once and said the incantation. She felt a tingling sensation go through her body and she felt like her whole body was aching, then suddenly it stopped.
“Ok, now let’s see if it works,” she said and waved her wand again. She transformed, but…
“Did it work?” asked Ron.
“Yeah, but… not completely,” said Hermione.
“What do you mean?”
“Well I wanted to be a raccoon, but…
She transformed and a small creature stood in front of Ron… a hamster.

Boggart

“Ridikulus! Ridikulus!” bellowed Hermione.
Nothing was helping Hermione Granger now. She was tackling a boggart. So far she saw no improvement, but Professor Flitwick telling her she failed all her classes and had no hopes of improvement. Hermione screamed, still no one heard her. Finally, gathering all her strength, she bellowed “Ridikulus!” one final time. The boggart disappeared and Hermione heaved a sigh of relief.
Next morning things got bad again.
“Ms. Granger here is your paper back,” said Professor Flitwick.
Hermione looked at it and let out a piercing scream.
The work said 9 ½ out of ten.

Kiss

Hermione was walking down the corridor of the seventh floor not knowing what or who to expect. She was meeting someone, her one true love. She checked her watch: midnight, if Filch caught her now she would be expelled, but seeing him again is worth expulsion. She heard a noise, there he stood with that handsome smile he always wore, and a twinkle in his eyes. He grinned deeper when he saw Hermione and walked up.
“Hello,” he whispered.
“Hi,” said Hermione. “I didn’t think you’d show up.”
“Don’t ever doubt me,” he said giving her the long-awaited kiss.

Yule Ball

(Hermione Dreaming)

I have never seen the Great Hall more beautiful than it is now. As I descended the stairs I saw many friends, enemies, and teachers all different, all having a good time.
Then I saw, him, standing there dressed in deep black, looking right at me. I came up to him as quickly as I could and he asked:
“Ready to go?”
I nodded and followed him to the dance floor where we danced the night away.
When I awoke I was very disappointed that it was only a dream, but to me, all was real.

Ignore


“Will you talk to me?” he begged.
“No,” said Hermione.
“Please.”
Hermione kept on walking, not paying attention to any of his pleas. He followed her all day, but she continued to ignore him. He begged and pleaded, but still Hermione pretended that no one was there. That night she felt guilty about it, it bothered her that maybe she would never see him again, so she set out to find him. When she did find him after combing the entire castle, she ran up and gave him a huge hug.
“I will never ignore you again,” she whispered.

Herbology

“Miss Granger, would you mind sharing your theory with the class?” asked Professor Sprout.
“Huh,” said Hermione snapping away from her conversation with Lavender Brown.
“Miss Granger, please explain why learning about Devil’s Snare is an important part of Herbology,” said Professor Sprout grumpily.
“Oh, right,” said Hermione. “Um…um… Devil’s Snare is important to me because it’s a fascinating plant and it has many properties that affect us all in…many ways,” said Hermione.
“Miss Granger if you would listen you would have known that the question was, why do we grow bubotubers?”
“Oh,” said Hermione in a small voice.

Hoot


Hermione was working in the library that day with Ron Weasley by her side. Ron as usual was doing anything but studying, and today he was talking…incessantly.
“Erm, Ron,” said Hermione. “Can you be quiet for a minute; I need to look this up.”
“Sure,” said Ron. “After you hear that story about my mum and the Muggle cab driver, so anyway…
Hermione groaned, but on a sudden note of inspiration she got her wand and muttered a quick charm.
“And you know what she did,” said Ron. “She…..Whoooooooooooooooo!” He sounded just like an owl, and Hermione grinned happily.
