Stolen Sniff

Pomona sipped her tea, blinking at the stack of dirt-smudged parchment rolls on the table. The staff room was too quiet and she knew that she’d better get back to her office lest she fell asleep in this warm squishy chair she was in. She allowed herself to close her eyes, balancing her tea cup on the arm of the chair.

She awoke to the sound of breathing; a long, healthy sniff and a gentle puff of breath into her hair.

“Get off, Peeves, you nasty thing,” she said, swatting behind her. She turned, shocked, as Severus stood there, red-faced.

Prompt: Kiss

The swift and unexpected kiss.

“Just received your note,” Said Severus upon entering Pomona’s office, flashing the letter. “To what might I be of assistance?” He asked. “Mind helping me water these plants?” Sprout said cheerily, pointing to them.
“Is that the only reason you summoned for me?”
“Not exactly...”
“Well?”
“It’s just, we’ve been together for a while now, and you haven’t once kissed me.” She said carefully.
“And?”
“Why?”
“I don’t find it necessary to kiss.” He said with an air of irritation.
“I see...”
At that precise moment, she kissed him briefly on the lips. Snape stiffened, his face turning beat red.

Pomona Sprout sat lazily under the wamping willow. She yawned tiredly; she had a long day of teaching. It was quite lovely under the stars. Pomona looked around cozily to see Severus Snape slumping out of the castle. Pomona waved to him so he couldn’t help but see. And therefore had no choice but to walk on over.

“Hello Severus! Have a seat?”

“Okay, sure, thanks…”

Severus had had some bad times under this tree, but he sat down anyway. The tree wouldn’t dare attack when Pomona was there; she was the only one the tree liked. He admired that.

Jan made me an offer I couldn't refuse *cues the Godfather music*

Madame Sprout carried the silver tray down the dank, shadowy dungeons of the castle; the candles flickering shadows. Madame Sprout wasn’t comfortable, she’d never really had reason for being in that part of the castle but … there was a sound of something scratching.

She jumped.

“Madame Sprout?” Snape asked, trying hard to make his sneer pleasant.

“Oh Severus,” she handed him the tray clutching at her heart. He looked at the thing disdainfully.

“Hurdy-gurdy … roots … thought you might … want some.”

“I can only use these for … love potions.” He said seriously. She winked walking off.
