“Ginny, I told you at Hogwarts… You will get hurt!” Harry sighed uncomfortably. He and Ginny were standing in the garden of the Burrow.
Ginny had pulled him aside; it was an hour before Bill and Flur's wedding. People were beginning to arrive; Harry could hear Mad-eye Moody in the background, growling about security.
Ginny stamped her foot and her hair, which was set in curls, bounced around her face. Harry was suddenly finding himself staring at her face, mesmerized by her glowing beauty. He shook his head to clear it as she spoke.
“You are stupid to think that I might even have one thought of staying behind while you, Hermione, and Ron go running off on a mission to defeat Voldemort!!!”
Harry stepped back from her; he was starting to fear this conversation… She might actually convince him…
“Ginny, I’m so sorry. But No.” He started to walk away sadly. However, he heard that beautiful voice again,
“Accio Moron!”
Harry was thrown backwards; he landed in a heap at the base of Ginny’s dress.
“Now, you WILL take me! Or you WILL suffer the consequences!” She pointed her wand, quite threateningly, at Harry.
“Okay! Okay! You can come!”

“Okay, so, how do we find the other horcruxes?” Ginny asked seriously, as she gazed at Harry, who was sitting in an armchair in the living room of Godric’s Hollow. Harry had just explained all about the horcruxes to Ginny. Harry put his head in his hands,
“Ughhhh, I wish I knew that, Gin…” He rubbed his eyes until dark spots exploded behind his eyelids. He was simply exhausted.
“But I really don’t even know where to start!”
Ginny stood up from the slightly musty smelling couch and walked past the floating knitting needles that were creating a slip-cover for the couch. Hermione had put a knitting charm on the needles because she could not stand the musty, un-used, smell of the couch. Ginny sat down on the arm of Harry’s chair. She gently rubbed his back.
“Well, look on the bright side, Harry; two of them are already destroyed!”
Harry leaned into Ginny and she ruffled his hair. Harry smiled slightly,
“You know, I was thinking about this “RAB” person… Hermione has been looking for him in books, and old news clippings. Yet, I can’t help thinking that I have seen the locket outside of that memory of Dumbledore’s…” | |

“Harry! What are you doing?!” Ginny was watching in astonishment as Harry jumped up and down in excitement. Harry spotted her and ran over. He put his hands on her waist and lifted her up, twirled her around, and kissed her.
“Gin! I did it! I FINALY beat Ron at wizard chess!!”
Ron, sitting in the corner of the common room, sank back in his chair dejectedly. Ginny grinned happily, as Harry celebrated. She hadn’t seen him this happy in a long time. She realized that Harry only really wanted to have a true thing to celebrate about. Harry enjoyed the simple things in life, and she wanted him to be happy for as long as he could. She watched him, with a small tear in her eye; Harry had little to celebrate about lately. In fact, the first time she had seen him truly happy since Sirius died was when they had shared their first kiss. Harry sped past Ginny as Hermione walked in through the portrait hole. She giggled as Harry explained his victory to Hermione. Suddenly, Harry stopped talking, he was mouthing wordlessly. Ron had cast a nonverbal ‘Silencio’ spell.
“We get it! You won!” Ron laughed. | |

Harry was seated under a tree, he glanced out on to the peaceful lake. A moment of silence followed. Then he felt her stir. Ginny was sitting next to him, her head resting on his shoulder. Harry had a thought of asking her how the game had gone; how Gryffindor had won the quiddich cup, but he didn’t want to speak. To ruin this blissful moment with the one that he had been thinking about since he had seen her kissing Dean.
Ginny skooched down, so that she could lean on Harry’s chest. Harry rested his chin on her head. Suddenly a crash broke the sience.
“What was that?”
“I dunno…”
The two of them got up to see. They peered around a tree that was to their left. They caught sight of Colin and Denis Creevey! The two brothers had somehow gotten a whole box of Weasley’s wildfire wizbangs, and they were using the Wingardium Leviosa charm to levitate the fireworks above the lake where they exploded in the Gryffindor colors to celebrate the winning of the quiddich cup.
Harry and Ginny smiled and settled down again. Harry smirked a bit,
“Sooooooooo, how was the quiddich cup?”
Ginny giggled.

Harry awoke suddenly; he sat up with a jolt.
Ugh, the dream again…
Harry lay back on his pillow in the dark. Ever since he Ron, Hermione, and Ginny had moved into Godric’s Hollow, Harry had been having… Not really dreams, more like nighttime flashbacks. Harry flipped over, grew uncomfortable again, and flipped again. It was no use; he couldn’t get back to sleep. Harry swung his legs over the side of his bed. He put his face in his hands for a full two minutes before getting up and walking down to the kitchen.
Bare-foot and robe-clad, Harry sat down at the kitchen table.
“Can’t sleep?”
Harry started and whipped around to see Ginny.
“Oh… Yeah…”
Ginny strode over to Harry and sat in the chair next to him. Harry squirmed, feeling slightly embarrassed,
“I just keep seeing it again. It’s something about being in this house, seeing the place where it all happened… Every time I try to sleep, I see Voldemort casting the Avada Kedavra.”
Ginny looked at him thoughtfully,
“Oh… Like when you used to when you saw dementors?”
Harry replied slowly,
“Nooo… That was different… That was… frightening. This is kind of matter-of-fact; a memory.” | |

Ginny felt around in the dark room, she was searching; searching in vain to find anything with which to defend herself. Her breath was coming in short gasps that was no doubt telling the death eater exactly where she was.
“Oh my God, I’m gunna die…” She moaned softly to herself. Why had she insisted on coming? She knew the danger that came with the territory…
Because I love him… I wanted to do everything I could to help… Ginny thought ruefully. She was too young to disapperate, and Harry was nowhere to be found. Ron was presumably with Harry, and Hermione was slumped, unconscious, beside Ginny in the dark...
“Wait!,” Ginny muttered, “Hermione’s wand!” Ginny reached over to the silent form, and was relieved to find that Hermione’s skin was quite warm still; she was alive. Ginny grabbed her friend’s hand, which was gently gripping a wooden stick. Her wand. Ginny slowly rose to a crouching position, seized Hermione under the arms, and dragged her into the corner of the room.
“Where are yoooooooou?” Ginny shivered as she heard Greyback’s voice rising in the still air.
“I know that you are still here, Little Girl.”
Ginny raised the wand. | |

Ginny rubbed her eyes and looked around at the Burrow. Her heart sank as she realized that this just might be the last time she ever gazed at these walls. So many memories, so many possibilities.
A flutter came through the open kitchen window, and Hedwig landed on the table in front of Ginny. She held a parchment scroll in her beak.
Ginny took the scroll, and Hedwig took a sip of the pumpkin juice in front of Ginny.
Ginny smiled and unfurled the scroll. It was quite blank.
Ginny examined the parchment carefully. She knew she wasn’t allowed to do magic, as she was underage, but the ministry had better things to do then prosecute her… Plus, her father had told her to use whatever magic was needed.
“SpeRevelio!”
Suddenly, bright words spread across the page as if she had set it down on a puddle of bright colored ink.
Gin, you know that I love you and always will. Forever and for always.
Ginny put a hand to her face and all of her doubts disappeared. This was why she was leaving.
She stood and looked out the window, waiting for Harry to come and get her. | |

Harry, Neville, and Ron were crouched behind three different trees. Harry looked to his right, Ron nodded slowly at him. Then Harry moved his attention to Neville, on his left. He locked eyes with his friend, and suddenly Neville spoke quietly.
“Harry, you and Ron go. You two are used to fighting Voldemort, and I have business with these guys… And one Woman…”
Harry moved slightly, he didn’t want to leave Neville behind here to fight three-on-one. Just as he hadn’t wanted to leave Tonks, Bill, and Lupin to deal with five on three… or his beloved, Ginny, and Ron’s Hermione, to deal with Greyback. Greyback was easily as good as three death eaters in one, and Harry couldn’t help but feel that the girls were facing a deadly struggle, just as Neville would if Harry chose to leave him. Harry held a tear back as he thought of Ginny facing death. He looked over at Ron, and then back at Neville.
“Are you absolutely sure?”
“Absolutely. I have always needed to defeat the Lestranges, and I’m not entirely certain that Malfoy is really evil at heart… despite everything…”
“Nox” Harry muttered, and set off with Ron to find Voldemort. | |
