#1 – Where Is My Staff?!

Lucius Malfoy, a tall, blonde, boastful man, had officially lost it. Never before in his entire life of having it has he ever lost it. He remembered the day when he first bought it…

“I would like this fine product!! I’ll give you 1 galleon for it.” Lucius said, kindly for the time in his life.

“But sir, it’s worth over 67—“

“Not another word! I want it!! Or else…” Lucius lowered his voice to a whisper. “You can sure that your puppy will be mine!!” And with that…he sure got it. And now he lost it. How would he find it? Where could it be? And then…he struck him. Of course. He forgot THAT.

Accio, staff!!” It came zooming towards him, and Lucius stuck out his arm so it would enter perfectly in his hand. “Oh, my dear staff!! How I’ve missed you! Don’t you leave me ever again!!” Lucius hugged his staff tightly, feeling quite thankful that he had found his beloved staff, and hoped that he would never lose it again. And then suddenly, a voice came from behind.

“Gracious me, still in love with that staff of yours?” Narcissa Malfoy said, smirking at him.

#2 – That’s Not My Name!!

One night, in a tiny little muggle village, Lucius Malfoy went strolling about the streets at night as a way to unwind and relax. He would never be caught in broad daylight in this village, and thus, he walked about in the evening, or in the dead of night. The muggles never stirred him as much as the others did. In fact, they were a very quiet, and they didn’t seem to socialize a whole lot with each other. However, they did notice Lucius walking about quite a lot in recent days.

On this particular night, Lucius walked by a house whom he knew to have only 2 in habitants inside. As he slowly walked by, he heard the mentioning of his name.

“Yes, that ‘Lucius’ character is so strange. Walks about like some wealthy being—“ Knock, knock!!

Lucius stood at the door, waiting for it to open, and as it opened, he raised his wand and yelled out “Avada Kedavra!!” There was a flash of green light and soon, all he could see was a shocked woman. “How do you know my name is Lucius?” Lucius demanded.

The woman stood, almost petrified. “Lucius…is our cousin from Ireland, sir.”

#3 – Training For Quidditch

“Help me train for Quidditch so I can stay on the team!” Young Draco Malfoy said to his father, Lucius who was absolutely in no mood to help his son with his Quidditch skills.

“No, Draco…” Lucius said, exhausted.

“Father…HELP. ME. NOW!!” Draco demanded. Lucius stared at him oddly, sighed, and pull himself off of a nice, comfortable leather chair. Draco led him outside to their beautiful, vast green field and grabbed his own Nimbus 2001, and Lucius’ old broomstick.

“Ah, let me cast the braking charms on these…” Lucius said. After he was finished with both brooms, they both climbed over them and began flying upward into the sky.

“Allow me to demonstrate some sneaky blocking moves, alright, son? Watch carefully!” Lucius yelled, as he began flying towards a window. “Pretend the window is a bludger or a another player!” Lucius accelerated his speed, but he soon realized he was going to fast, and attempted to stop the broom. But the broom did not stop.

“This…broom!! Stop!! STOP!!” Thump!! It was already too late. His face met the window, and he slowly fell down to the ground. Draco ran to his father, and stood over him.

“Father?”

#4 – Broken Desks

“Wretched little desk…” Lucius muttered angrily to himself as he was attempting to fix his broken desk at work. He stood up, and stretched himself out and glared at his desk for the longest time. “It just refuses to be fixed!” Lucius got down on his knees again, and began fiddling with the nails and screws.

Then, a fellow co-worker walked by Lucius’ desk, and began chuckling. “Oi! Malfoy! What’s wrong your desk?”

“It’s broken…” Lucius called out in a bitter tone from underneath.

“Why don’t you use that one repair charm? You look like a muggle, laying under that desk!” the co-worker said.

“SHUT UP! GET LOST!” Lucius roared fiercely. How dare he say he look like a muggle! It wasn’t his fault the stupid Repair charm wouldn’t work. It would work half-way but there was something that caused it to not work completely, like something was stuck. It was the only reason he crawled under his desk.

“Forget it. CONFRINGO!!” In a split second, his desk was pieces, and the pieces were scattered about his vast office, thanks to the blasting curse. “Reparo!!” The pieces were put back together, but it was still broken. “Great…”

#5 – Plans

Colloportus…” Lucius whispered as he pointed his wand to the lock of the door. “Now, what are your plans? You weren’t so clear on them when you first told me. It seems as though you’re hiding something, and trying to keep me from knowing the details, and trust me, you won’t get past me until I know everything.” He said sternly.

“Lucius, it is the only way. If you wish to protect your own son, you must not know of the plan. To know everything could jeopardize everything. I can’t risk his life and I know you’d rather him be safe.” Narcissa explained calmly to her husband.

“Narcissa, I need to know where you plan on taking the boy. What if, by chance, something happens to either one of you, or maybe even both of you, and I cannot find you?”

“Nothing will happen, and as soon as we find it safe, we will come back.”

“The boy will stay with me. If you wish to protect yourself, go on ahead. But the boy will stay. He’ll be safe at school.” Lucius nodded, and grabbed her hands, holding them tightly as a promise was buried within their bond. “Trust me.”

#6 – Give it Back

“Your chances of living are growing quite slim as each second goes by and I still do not have that diary back in my hands. This is my task and I shall do it however I wish to do it.” Lucius warned his fellow death eater, Crabbe who was slowly backing away towards the door.

“No…you have no idea how to perform it correctly, therefore, I find it useful for me to do it myself. You were given no orders—“

“So, you think you know what to do? You think you can just take the diary from me and expect written instructions on parchment? This is Hogwarts, Crabbe. This is…LIFE. Now give that diary back to me!” Crabbe continued to shake his head firmly. He hadn’t been this strong in several years, and he wasn’t about stop resisting. He reached towards his back pocket and grabbed hold of his wand.

“I can’t let you do this, Lucius.” Crabbe said in quiet, calm, yet strong voice. “I’m sorry.”

“So. Am. I.” Lucius said, dramatically separating each word. “CRUCIO!!” Crabbe fell to ground, releasing the diary. “That ought teach you some manners.” He said as he picked up the diary.

#7 – Don’t Think

Lucius and Severus were hanging in the courtyard, and Lucius watched as Severus made several attempts at the Confundus charm on a trail of ants. “No, no, no…Severus, you’re not doing it right. You’re too…no. Let me show you.” Lucius said, lowering Severus’ hand which held his wand. He took out his own wand, and walked back behind a tree, carefully hiding his wand. He motioned the young Severus to come around and stand behind him.

“Watch this. Perhaps you’ll learn something from this.” Lucius said in a low voice and he aimed his wand at an unsuspecting first year as he was about to divert a pillar in his way. “Confundo!” he whispered. The first year had jerked himself into the direction of the pillar and crashed into it, falling onto his backside. He rolled over and pulled himself halfway, shaking his head.

“It’s quick. You don’t put thought into it. You just do it.” Lucius said, smirking at the first year as he rubbed in his head to ease whatever pain he had received. “Not to mention, when you don’t think about it…you can get some interestingly amusing results.” Severus gave a laugh, and nodded.

#8 – Worth What?

“Does he honestly expect us to find them with these disastrous drape hanging around? Diffindo!!” A drape near the very top and fell down to the ground and Lucius and his personal gang of Death Eaters walked over it, almost in a hurry. “These are the most ridiculous distractions I’ve ever seen and they just had to be put up by these people…Diffindo!!” More drapes were cut as he led the group down a hall of nothingness. Just a little bit ahead of them was a door.

“Aren’t you happy that he gave you this task? If I were you, I’d be absolutely thrilled that I given the chance to redeem myself.” Said the voice of female, who emerged from the group behind him.

“My dear, Bellatrix, drapes like these are not worth…” Lucius paused, and stopped walking as the reached the door. He straightened himself even more so, despite the fact that his posture was perhaps the best posture one could even have.

“Not worth what, Lucius? What exactly did you mean to say?” Bellatrix questioned, smiling, knowing that she’d almost led him into a trap.

“Nothing. Nothing at all.” Lucius muttered, opening the door to another room.

#9 - Bickerings

It was only a matter of time before they were trapped in a little corner of the alleyway as five muggles approached them with anger attacking their minds. They all held baseball bats, about ready destroy Lucius and Mulciber, both of whom leaned on a brick wall, trying to figure out what to do.

“You know we’re going to need to disapparate, right?” Lucius said, looking at his partner.

“Nonsense, we can’t. These are muggles…” Mulciber said, scoffing at his comment. How could he think of such an idea? They’d be in so much—

“Mulciber…does it really matter, anymore? And when did you get to have such a soft heart?” The muggles stopped dead in their tracks to look at the two who began chit-chatting amongst themselves. What in the world were they talking about? They had stolen amounts of stolen artifacts which they still had yet to analyze and here they were bickering about “muggles” and “disapparating”!!

“I’m just saying that we should—“

“Disapparate. NOW!!” Lucius yelled out, and suddenly, there was pop sound and in a split second, both Lucius and Mulciber were gone, leaving the group of muggles absolutely speechless. What had happened, they knew not.

#10 – Fancy Dinners

A row of delicious meals sat before Lucius on the table, lit up by the simplest yet sophisticated lights hung on the ceiling. The lighting was dim but was enough to allow the food to appear mouth-watering. And for Lucius, a man who had not eaten a solid, fancy meal in several days (all thanks to the war and its ending), such a meal was hard to resist abandoning all civilized natures and instead stuffing one’s face into the food. He sat at the table with his son, Draco, waiting for Narcissa to arrive so that they could start eating together, once again, as an undisturbed family.

“Looks delicious, doesn’t it, son?” Lucius said, quietly. Draco nodded in agreement, making not a single sound, nor did he make a sign that he was going to speak a word. Unless one counted the growling noise that came from his stomach. “Hungry? Let’s try to make this meal a bit larger before your mothers walks in.” Lucius pulled out his wand and whispered “Engorgio…” Suddenly, the food was almost half much larger than it was just a few seconds ago.

Narcissa walked in, looking at the food suspiciously. “Did I make that?”

11 - Happy Memory?

Voldemort laughed and laughed…he laughed so hard that he found it difficult to control his laughter. Apparently, he found Lucius’ sudden rebellion ridiculously amusing. “Did you honestly think that someone like you would be able to stop me? No one can stop me! How dare you assume that your power can triumph over mine?” Voldemort mocked him. Lucius stared back with strong yet much sympathetic eyes. Voldemort continued his speech. “I have an army of Death Eaters, Dementors, Werewolves, and so many others…and you think you can stop me by yourself?” Voldemort let out a cackle as chilling as the last that it was to make the hairs on Lucius’ neck stand up.

“No.” Lucius said, calmly. He then saw a gang of dementors form behind Voldemort, and he grew not worried, but confident. He CAN do it, because everyone else could. “Do you have a happy memory?” Voldemort paused at this question. Lucius smiled gently, and in a split second, he yelled out “Expecto…Patronum!!” And suddenly, a bright, white peacock was spewed out gracefully from his wand and began chasing not only the group of dementors away, but Voldemort as well. “No? I didn’t think so.”

#12 - The Give-Away

Lucius had the most evil grin on his mischievous little face, especially now that he had learned a new spell and somehow had mastered it. It was enough to cause any Slytherin his age to either grow slightly jealous or idolize him completely. And most definitely, many people idolized him, especially after his supposedly entertaining prank on his Gryffindor enemy, Perry Platypus. Perry was in fact a smarty-pants who did not brag about his intelligence but definitely did a lot to show how much potential he had, especially since he was a muggle-born.

One day, upon passing by Lucius who was hiding behind a tree, Lucius aimed his wand at Perry and yelled out “Furnunculus!” which set Perry backwards, causing him to fall over. In just a few second, big bulging and exploding pimples and boils began forming on his face every time they exploded, large amounts of blood and pus began oozing out like slime from the Pokemon, Grimer. GROSS.

Lucius fell onto his backside, cackling, and laughing, unable to stop, but unfortunately, this gave him away. For as soon as a professor came by, he was immediately brought back up, and then carried away to the Headmaster’s office.

13 - Burn at the Touch

“How will you know which items are yours, Lucius, if you do indeed plan of scattering them about?” Narcissa questioned eagerly. Lucius simply shrugged off the question, setting up each of his belongings in a little group. Most of these items were of the Dark Arts, several bought from Borgin & Burkes. There was no doubt in his mind that they had become unworthy, and useless, especially during times like this, when houses were being searched.

“I do not plan on removing them anymore. They are useless as I’ve come to know and understand.” Lucius said quietly, without increasing the level of his voice one bit. “They will simply…burn upon being touched.

“But will it work?”
“It has to.” Lucius took a deep breath, and stood up. “Flagrate.
“But why are they all in a group on the floor? This is space-consuming! Do you honestly think I’m going to live with a block of rubbish in a walkway? Get rid of it! Move it elsewhere!” Narcissa screeched. Lucius looked at her, raising an eyebrow, as if chuckling on the inside at her foolish thoughts.

“SURE, if you want me to burn along with these items, too.”

#14 – My Son

Shaking his head in disbelief, Lucius wondered how it was possible that a mere fourteen-year old who was not his own son had survived the task of the dragon as fierce as the one given to him. “This is an outrage! The boy obviously had some assistance!” Lucius muttered to himself. Of course, what student didn’t receive help for these tasks? Surely each competitor was given a tip or two about something…”You’d have thought that such a stupid, unintelligent boy like him would have gone all Horn Tongue on the dragon!” Lucius had not been pleased as Viktor and Harry were both tied.

“Now, see, if my boy had been down there, he’d had been first place—“
“HA!! First place in what, the Task of Losing? Shuddup, Lucius.” Said an unnamed voice from behind.
“How DARE you insult my family!” Lucius said, angrily.
“I’m not insulting, Lucius. I’m simply stating the facts.”
“I’ll have you know that I can easily put you and your family—“
“Where? Where will you put them? You’re just as whacked as all of those other guys…” The man’s voice faded as Lucius Malfoy began to realize the lack of courage in his own son.

#15 – Tidy Uniform.

“Dad, can I try to set the Hurling Hex on Potter’s broom? I can win better this way!” Draco said, straightening up his uniform as he got ready for a Quidditch match.

“Draco, Draco, I do not deny that you may have excellent skills in such a hex, but it is not exactly a smart move. Someone will notice and suspect something and what happen then? Tell me, what will happen when they world comes to know that my son, Draco Malfoy, cheated in a Quidditch match?” Lucius said, shaking his head as he helped his son. His uniform was very much out of place, and it was Lucius’ goal to make it neat so that when his son entered the stadium, he would look just like a professional. “Aha! There we go. All set. You’re looking very sharp, boy.”

“Dad, it doesn’t matter…it’s just going to get messed up by the time I hope onto my broom and start flying…” Draco said, timidly.

“Then, it will be your job to keep your uniform in place and untouched, DO YOU HEAR ME? I will not stand for these EXCUSES!” Lucius’ voice thundered into his son’s ears.

“Yes…sorry, father.”

#16 – Thievery of Food

Lucius shot spell after spell at his pursuer, as he attempted to run away after stealing unimaginable amounts of loaves of bread for his family. He was hungry, and so was his family, and this was the only way to feed them. “Impedimentum!” he cried out, aiming his wand at the man who was chasing him. So far he had not been able to aim correctly, as the man was still capable of catching up to him. “Impedimentum! IMPEDIMENTUM!” he yelled. And suddenly, the man yelled back.

“Oi!! Stop using the Impedimenta spell on me! I’m only after you because I want to help you! Stop! Wait!” he yelled out, slowing down, and attempting to catch his breath. Lucius continued to run, and started running at a faster pace now that he had seen that his last attack worked. And then, he stopped abruptly, only to realize that the man had just said he wanted to help. “I got cheese! And butter! And meat! A good meal for you and whoever else you got to feed!” the man yelled out. Lucius turned around and slowly took a few steps toward the man, watching as he, too, began walking towards him.

#17 – Trapped!

“But…but…Lucius! Mr. Malfoy, sir…what will happen if I don’t do as you say? I mean, not that I wouldn’t do what you tell me to do. But, what if I make a mistake? What if I take a wrong turn? What if I end up taking a wrong turn because of some other idiotic baboon?” said the young Ministry worker whose name Lucius did not know. As if he wanted to know right now…yeah, RIGHT.

“Oh, so is that what’s on your mind? Disobeying myself? Do you realize that by disobeying me, you are intentionally disobeying the Dark Lord, himself? You fool…” Lucius looked at the man who had inadvertently fallen into a trap. “Well, then, I’ll have to see to it that you don’t go off track, hmm? Imperio!

And suddenly, the young man stood up on the orders of Lucius, and he set off immediately do his bidding. How was it possible that someone as “smart” as this ministry employee could have led himself into a trap without much effort from Lucius? This was something that he wondered for a few moments, before shrugging off these funny thoughts, and moving along to his work.

#18 – The Apologetic Helper

“Hey! Lucius! Make sure you use the Incarceratus spell on them. That way they don’t get away…” Yaxley yelled out to Lucius who instantly looked back at him. He glared at Yaxley as soon as he made his way out of the room, and then turned back to the little teenage runts sitting the chairs in front of him, all of them without a wand.

Incarcerous…” Lucius said, quietly, as he aimed his wand at the teenagers who had made several attempts to escape. “What are you names?” he asked, still very quiet. The students remained quiet as well, but their eyes were full of fiery anger. “Please, tell me your names so that neither of you will be hurt. I’d prefer not to hurt fellow classmates of my own son.”

“Draco?! What has your nasty son ever respected us? He’s not our classmate, he’s our enemy! And so are you.” said a girl who was amongst the group.

“I’m very sorry. I apologize for myself, and for my son. But struggling and fighting me won’t help you in your current predicament. You’re going to have to feed me something. No, LIES…” Lucius said, winking, hoping he’d receive many lies.

aguamentis 09-25-2009 08:13 PM

#19 - Childish

Lucius stood in front of their victim, appalled at his partner’s lack of knowledge of much more powerful spells. Why…this was a mere jinx. A useless, childish, idiotic jinx! Really? Did his partner really think this was good enough? Lucius smacked him in the back of his head, and gave him a look of disbelief.

“Are you mad? Jelly Jinx? I never thought I’d see the day when a Death Eater would think so weakly. It’s as if you’re still a child, and…goodness!!” Lucius said, beginning laugh at his partner’s actions. “Do you need to go back to Hoggy Hogwarts to release all of your childish needs?”

“Lucius…I’m sorry. It was the only spell that came to mind. I just did it…I can do a much powerful curse, I promise!” his partner pleaded.

“Bah!! Do not waste my time with such pleadings! You are useless! Get out! GET!! OUT!!” Lucius pointed a finger to door nearest to him, and his partner followed his directions. He immediately left the room without looking back and shut the door quietly behind him. Lucius stared at his partner until he left, and then moved his eyes onto his only victim.

#20 - Gardens

“Son?” Lucius said to Draco, watching as his own son water and plant beautiful and colorful flowers. “What in Merlin’s beard are you doing?” Draco looked up to his perplexed father, and a frightened look was pasted on his face.

“I’m…I’m…watering these flowers.” Draco said. “Mother asked me to!” Lucius glared at his son, shaking his head. For a split second, it sounded as if he would start growling angrily anytime soon. But then Lucius withdrew his maddened gaze and set up a strict, yet calm face.

“Hmph. You might as well move in with the Weasley’s and cast a knitting charm on the first set of socks you plan on knitting.”

“But I—“

“No buts! Just…go inside.” Lucius pulled Draco away from the plants and pushed him towards the house. As soon as his son was out of sight, he leaned closer to the flowers, taking in the smell. “How very pretty these flowers are…” Suddenly, he shot straight back up as soon as he heard the upset muttering of his wife, Narcissa and the trembling words of Draco.

“Go back and tend to the garden! And don’t you interfere, Lucius!” Nodding, Lucius quickly walked inside.

#21 – Lucius’ Mentor

“Listen. You can’t be civilized and present yourself in a mature way by performing childish spells like Langlock.” An older student said to a young Lucius. The student shook his head and laughed. Lucius looked down, reflecting back on the times he used Langlock on his enemies, particularly his Gryffindor counterpart, Freddie Ginsworth.

“But Freddie is so much better than me in EVERYTHING!! Except the Langlock jinx, of course. I’m the best that!” Lucius said. It just wasn’t fair that Ginsworth had such an advantage over him. When would he be able to stand in the spotlight? When would he be the best at everything, while Ginsworth stands in shock, unable to cast a single spell!

“That’s why you do well in school, Malfoy. The Slytherin house is full of cunning kids…you’re one of them, right?” the older student said. Lucius looked up at the student, and then back down at the ground. Well, of course, he was cunning! Why else was sorted into the Slytherin House?

Sighing, Lucius timidly responded, “Right.”

“Great. Stick with me, Malfoy, and I’ll teach you everything I know. Soon, you’ll be able to overcome the secretly disastrous students, like Ginsworth and even… Weasley."
