Hey, all! I have officially decided to write 100 drabbles about Peter Pettigrew. Above is the list of the themes; the ones that have been done are coloured and crossed out. So yeah, enjoy!
#18 Whomping Willow
Peter whimpered. “Gah! I’m too scared.”
“You’re such a girl,” said Sirius, rolling his eyes. “Just transform and press the knot. Piece of cake.”
Peter swallowed, and turned into a rat. He hesitated, staring at the wild, humongous tree. What if it started thrashing as he scurried through?
“Come on, do it, Wormtail,” James muttered angrily. With his foot he gave Peter a slight push, taking the rat by surprise. Peter-the-rat started to crawl toward the tree trunk; he pressed the knot with his tiny paw. The tree froze up.
He heard James and Sirius laughing in triumph. “Yeah, Peter!”

Peter had been talking with the girl he really liked, Kelly, for quite a while now. He had made her laugh a lot; he was hoping that they had been flirting, not just having a conversation.
He looked to his right and saw Sirius snogging with his new girlfriend. Jealously swept over Peter. Why couldn’t he get girls easily?
Peter turned back to a smiling Kelly and stared at her mouth. Just do it. Just do it.
He kissed her mouth quickly and watched her for any reaction, which was —
“EW! WHAT WAS THAT?! GOD!”
She stormed off furiously. | |

#93 Chicken
Peter was taking a walk by the lake, enjoying the fresh, cool breeze.
Suddenly he felt something brush against his leg. He looked down and saw two chickens circling him.
“Ahh!” he cried as one of them flapped its wings. The other one copied it.
“STOP!” Peter shouted fearfully. But the chickens didn’t stop; instead they started to stab his legs with their beaks violently, which really hurt. Frightened, Peter ran away, screaming girlishly. The chickens chased him.
A few feet away from where he had been, James and Sirius roared with laughter, controlling the wild chickens with their wands. | |

#14 Hogwarts, A History
“It’s so long!” Peter exclaimed. “It would take weeks or months to finish that.”
The Marauders were discussing the giant book that Remus was reading, called Hogwarts, A History.
“Yes, but I enjoy it,” replied Remus.
“Yeah, Wormtail, did you know that chicks dig boys that have read this entire book?” asked Sirius, grinning.
“Really?”
“Of course!” said James in amusement.
Peter made to snatch the humongous book, but Remus lifted it up out of reach. “They’re lying, Wormtail, don’t believe them.”
“He’s lying, Wormtail, don’t believe him.”
“No, they’re lying.”
“No, he is.”

#100 Homework
Peter walked out of the classroom with James and Sirius, cheerful.
“No homework!” Peter cried. “NO HOMEWORK!”
“I am so gonna play Quidditch tonight,” said James excitedly. “Or bother Evans. I don’t know.”
“I am going to score a date with that Hufflepuff, Courtney whats-her-last-name,” said Sirius, looking around to see if she was near.
“And I’m going to eat in the kitchen!” Peter exclaimed.
Suddenly, Remus appeared behind them. “You do know that you three were almost drooling when Binns said that we were to write a four feet long essay on the Irish kings’ legacies.”
They were crestfallen. | |

“Can I eat something, Padfoot?” Peter asked hungrily.
“My dear old mum told me to only eat bread until she came back tomorrow. And there’s no more bread — I ate it all.”
“I’ll sneak down and fetch something, then.”
“Don’t get caught, Wormtail,” Remus warned.
“We’re not supposed to be here at Sirius’s house,” said James.
“I can do this! You just wait, I’ll come back with as much I can carry.”
Later, Peter was tiptoeing down the stairs. He smiled when he entered the kitchen.
“Freeze!”
Peter jumped and saw Regulus glaring at him. “Caught in the act.” | |

#44 Ford Anglia
Peter-the-rat watched in fright as the Ford Anglia fell toward the Whomping Willow; his cage was rattling around. He thought he was going to get sick. But did rats get sick?
“STOP! STOP!” Ron, his owner, took out his old wand and whacked it violently, but nothing happened. A second later, they had crashed into the gigantic tree. Peter dizzily thrashed around in the cage and dropped to the bottom in pain.
Shaking his tiny head, he looked outside through the back window and freaked as a thick branch smashed through. The tree was attacking them.
They were so dead. | |

Peter ran. He couldn’t get caught. The Dark Lord would be furious if he did.
“STOP, YOU COWARD!” Sirius bellowed, chasing him still.
Peter did no such thing. Instead, he sped up. He turned a corner to find a dead end.
“Peter, you betrayed them,” said Sirius. “We trusted you!”
Peter backed up slowly. “It’s not like that.”
“You stinking filth —” Sirius raised his wand.
Peter shouted, “Lily and James, Sirius! How could you?”
“What?”
With slight regret, Peter cut off his finger. Then he transformed and scurried away with the other rats.
He had escaped from Sirius Black. | |

Peter happily entered the Great Hall, a box of chocolate in his hands. He was planning to give it to his crush, Casey, for Valentine’s Day.
“Here,” he said, handing it to her. “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
“Um… okay,” said Casey. She examined the box. “Oh, Peter, I’m allergic to nuts.”
Peter couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“Thanks, though,” she added, and to Peter’s shock, she gave it to a boy beside her.
“What’s this, baby?” he asked. Was he her boyfriend?!
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” Casey replied, kissing him.
Heartbroken, Peter promised himself to kill this guy — not literally. | |

If Peter had been human, he would’ve been screaming. The great, grey owl flew after him. It was closing in.
Squeaking madly, he turned hard left along the water. He couldn’t fall in — he would easily be snatched by that massive beak.
Suddenly, his tiny foot tripped over a branch. He fell face flat, waiting for the owl to eat him.
But it never did. Fearfully, he looked up; James-the-stag was standing there.
Relieved, Peter changed back into a human. “Thanks, James.”
James transformed also. “Why didn’t you transform when it was chasing you?”
Peter blinked. Why hadn’t he? | |

Peter sat in the dark room, waiting for the Dark Lord to return from punishing Avery. His memory swam back to the day when the Marauders had talked about his career…
“I want to be an Auror or a Quidditch player,” said James.
“I want to be something cool,” Sirius exclaimed.
“I’d like to be a teacher or work in the Ministry,” remarked Remus.
“I don’t know what I want to be,” said Peter, frowning.
“Well, we all know you won’t go to the Dark side,” said James, grinning.
Peter laughed. “Definitely not.”

Peter angrily thrust the rock into the water. He hated everybody, sick of getting rejected and being ignored. Tired of being made fun of.
Why, just today, he had asked his friends for help with his homework; he knew they had heard him, because they had glanced at him before returning to their conversations, completely ignoring him.
Peter was too good to be ignored.
He jumped when a high-pitched, cold voice spoke. “Never let anybody reject, ignore, or make fun of you. Come with me, and they will pay.”
Peter followed, wondering how this man had known how he felt. | |

“Look, there’s me!” whispered Sirius, focusing on his telescope that was pointed at the stars.
“Let me see,” said James eagerly. “Cool! The Dog Star!”
Remus just concentrated on his work.
“I’ll find a Rat Star,” uttered Peter.
“Wormtail, there’s no such thing.”
“You’re wrong!”
Sirius shrugged, and went back to admiring the Canis Major.
A second later, Peter yelled in triumph, “Aha! Found a rat constellation!”
Most people laughed.
Professor Sinistra glared at him. “Detention, Pettigrew. Astronomy is not for searching for rat constellations. Besides, you’re not even looking at a constellation, those are just a pack of stars.” | |

“Wormtail, it’ll be funny,” said James pleadingly.
“He’ll hex me!” Peter hissed. “Stop egging me on!”
“Come on,” said Sirius. “Look at me! I hugged my git of a brother and now I have pimples.”
“We must be hexed, that’s the game,” nodded James.
“Fine,” said Peter. He approached Snape, who looked up.
“What?”
“Hello, Severus,” Peter recited his lines. “I love you and I wish we’d go out. Here are roses; your favourite.”
Snape looked disgusted, and there was a flash. The next moment, Peter stumbled away, maggots crawling all over his face as James and Sirius laughed uncontrollably. | |

#8 Potions
“Don’t do it,” warned Remus seriously.
“Moony, it’s one prank,” said James. “Like anything’s going to happen.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Peter demanded.
“Do it quickly,” whispered Sirius. “Do it now!”
Peter levitated tiny fireworks when Slughorn turned away; Sirius poked Snape’s back.
“What do you want, Black?” Snape hissed. As he did, the fireworks dropped into his potion softly.
POP! BANG! BOOM! CHEEEEEE!
The class, including Slughorn, screamed as Snape’s potion exploded at everyone near it. Any hair the potion touched began to grow and turn yellow.
“WHO DID THAT?” Slughorn bellowed; Snape pointed to Peter.
“PETTIGREW! DETENTION!” | |

On September 1st, eleven-year-old Peter was searching for Platform 9 ¾ alone.
“Are you going to Hogwarts?” Peter called to a jet-black haired boy, who didn’t hear.
He walked up to a man in robes and asked, “Hi, how do I get to Platform 9 ¾? I know I’d have to be magical, but do I tap my wand on something? Or speak Parseltongue?”
The man raised an eyebrow. “What are you talking about, boy?”
“Well, I —” began Peter, but broke off when he saw that the man was wearing a coat, not robes. He was a Muggle. Oops! | |

“Maybe I’m not magical,” suggested Peter.
“No, no, you are. You are magical. The wands are just… picky about you.”
“Which means I’m too stupid for a wand.”
The wandmaker didn’t hear him.
Peter jumped when the door opened, and a boy with dark hair entered cheerily. “Hi, I’d like a wand?”
“Aha! Mr. Sirius Black. I know the perfect one for you.”
A minute later, the boy called Sirius had purchased the first wand he had tested. He exited the shop, grinning at Peter.
Peter stared at Mr. Ollivander, almost whimpering.

Peter was thinking. He had just come back from the Potter mansion. Lily and James had invited all their friends to celebrate their son Harry’s birthday. They had looked so happy, and he was going to ruin everything for them in a few weeks.
He really wasn’t sure if he should do this. After all, they were his best friends.
But if he didn’t, what would the Dark Lord do? Kill him, of course. The worst thing that could happen was death.
He had no choice. He would have to betray almost everybody he had known in his entire life. | |

Peter panicked. It was almost eleven, and he couldn’t find the Gryffindor common room.
Suddenly, he ran into two people in the dark. “Oh, crap, James!” the one with dark hair whispered before trying to run away.
“No, Sirius, it’s a student,” the one called James said. “Who are you?”
“I’m Peter Pettigrew and I can’t find the Gryffindor common room.”
“Um, you’re standing right in front of it. The password’s antona.”
“Oh!” relieved, Peter followed the two boys climb through the portrait hole.
He heard the boy called Sirius say to James, “How could anyone not see the portrait?” | |

“Oh, my god, it’s a time-turner,” said Sirius in disbelief.
“Wow!” exclaimed Peter. “You think maybe I’ll be able to steal an exam so I could memorize the answers?”
“That’s total cheating,” James replied, “but okay. But Padfoot and I probably aced it and Moony will be an ickle prefect and flatly refuse.”
“So it’s just me? Alright, then!” Peter put his hand on it, but was stopped by Professor McGonagall.
“Pettigrew, where on earth did you get this? And why didn’t you give it to a teacher? I’m afraid I’ll have to confiscate it.”

“She’s so stubborn,” Peter said.
“I know that, Wormtail,” snarled James, his face completely covered.
“It’s okay, Prongs,” said Remus comfortingly.
Sirius said nothing, kissing Natalie Ridgefield.
“Nobody talk to me until dinner,” James announced.
Remus started reading, but Peter didn’t give up. “When are you trying again?”
“Shut up, Peter.”
“Are you doing anything to impress her?”
“I said shut up, you little annoying rat!”
James snatched his socks off his feet, and stuffed them into Peter’s mouth. | |

“Cool, Lils,” commented Sirius, playing something called a video game.
“I’m hungry, do you have any food?” Peter asked Lily while admiring her house.
“Yeah, it’s in the fridge.”
He approached a rectangular machine which he remembered was called something like ‘fridge’. But he couldn’t open it; instead he pressed a bunch of buttons. Suddenly, a light lit up inside the machine, looking as though it was heating up.
“LILYYY!” Peter yelled, afraid.
Luckily, Lily showed up soon. “Peter, that’s the microwave. This is the fridge.” She pointed to a much larger rectangular machine. “Honestly, you should take Muggle Studies.” | |

“Veelas?” repeated Peter. “What are Veelas?”
“You don’t know —? Oh, my god, Peter,” said Sirius, shaking his head.
“There’s the Spanish mascot,” said Remus, pointing.
“You’ll see when they appear, Wormtail,” grinned James excitedly. “In fact, there they — ahhh…”
“Huh?” Peter frowned, even more confused when Remus covered his ears.
Then Peter watched the most beautiful things in the world as they danced. He wanted them to notice him. Maybe he ought to do a backflip in the air… but how?
“Peter!” he heard Remus exclaim; he came back to reality and was disappointed when the Veelas disappeared. | |

Peter was depressed. He had broken up with his first ever girlfriend, Britney, after only a day.
“Just act like you don’t need her,” said James. “That always works.”
“Or kiss someone else,” suggested Sirius, “though I doubt you’d be able to do that.”
Peter gasped in shock as Britney turned a corner. When Sirius hit him, he quickly stood strong, straightened his shoulders, and pretended to laugh his head off.
James and Sirius grinned proudly, but sighed when Peter couldn’t take it and hugged Britney, who tried to push him away.
“I MISS YOU, BRITNEY!” Peter bellowed, almost crying. | |

#50 Boggart Crack! The boggart transformed into Lily kissing Snape.
“You’re afraid of that?” said Sirius in disbelief.
“Well, what about you?” James demanded, shouting, “ Riddikulus!”
The boggart turned into a giant snake, which hissed at Sirius, who froze.
“You’re afraid of snakes? No way!” exclaimed Peter.
“Get rid of it, you guys, I don’t want it turning into a mo — well,” said Remus, looking uncomfortable.
“ Ri — Riddi — Riddikulus,” Sirius mumbled; the boggart, this time, turned into a huge cat and glared at Peter.
“Why cats, Wormtail?” asked James after vanishing the boggart.
“They eat rats,” said Peter shakily. Meh, not a good one  | |
