(14. Hogwarts, A History)
Godric sat quietly in his office as he scribbled on several pieces of parchment. He was determined to accomplish ‘Hogwarts, A History’ even if it meant staying up through the night.
As he finished another parchment, the door opened and Rowena Ravenclaw walked in. He barely looked up to acknowledge her presence.
“Godric, shouldst thou be sleeping?” she asked, walking over to his desk. Godric looked up and smiled at her. “I know I should be asleep, dear, but I cannot help but want to finish this book,” he said.
“Alright love,” she said smiling, then kissed him and left.

“Rowena, come away with me. We don’t need any of this,” Salazar whispered as he held her close. Rowena struggled to break free of his clutches. “Salazar. What art thou thinking? I couldn’t leave Hogwarts!” she said desperately.
Apparently, Salazar wasn’t pleased. He frowned and said, “I’m certain Hogwarts doesn’t interest thee, save Godric was not with thee.”
Rowena was speechless.
Just then, the doors opened and in walked Godric. “Let her go, Slytherin!” he roared.
Salazar, taken by surprise, let Rowena go and she ran to Godric. “One day, Rowena, thou shalt be mine!” he said, then stormed off.

“Class, repeat after me. Fereverto!” Rowena said as she turned a falcon into a goblet. The class did as instructed, then Godric entered to observe the class.
The room silenced. “Please, carry on,” Godric said.
When the class ended, Godric proceeded to Rowena’s table and said, “Brilliant lesson, dear.”
“Thank you,”
“I have something for thee.”
He held out the most beautiful butterfly she had ever seen.
“Oh Godric, tis lovely!”
“Thou haven’t seen anything yet.”
He waved his wand, muttered Fereverto, and it turned into a ring.
“Will thouest marry me, Rowena?”
Rowena’s eyes widened. “Yes Godric. I will!”

“…And so, class, that is why the Ambrosinia is considered rare,” professor Hufflepuff said as she finalized her Herbology lesson.
“T’was a wonderful lesson,” Rowena commented after all the students left.
“Thank you, Rowena. By the way, the ornamental flowers needed for thy wedding are fully grown!” Helga said excitedly
Upon hearing this, Godric put an arm around Rowena and said, “Thank you, Helga. This wedding means a great deal to us.”
“My pleasure, Godric. Now, if I may, I need to attend to my other plants in the next greenhouses. Farewell!”
Then Helga left, leaving the two lovebirds alone.

Godric knocked on the dungeon door where the potions classroom was. “Salazar? Art thou here?” he said, peeking through the large keyhole.
“Come in, Godric,” came a voice from inside.
When he opened the door, an array of colorful fireworks greeted him.
“Ah, Godric! Thou art just in time. I have thy requests here and are currently making more of them,” Salazar said as he mixed the cauldron of fireworks potion.
“Thank you, Salazar. Everything seems perfect. My and Rowena’s wedding can’t possibly go wrong.”
“Any time, my friend.”
And with that, Godric left with some fireworks potion at hand.

Godric and Rowena walked hand in hand as they strolled along Hogsmeade, where their wedding was taking place the next day.
Rowena sighed deeply and said, “Godric, aren’t thou nervous?”
Godric smiled at her and replied, “My love, to be married to thee only brings me happiness, not anxiety.”
She laid her head on his shoulder as they continued to walk, and the sun started to set. They settled in a quiet place to watch it.
“I love thee, Godric,” Rowena said as she closed her eyes.
Godric stroked her hair lovingly and replied, “I love thee as well, Rowena.”

The organ magically played the traditional wedding tune as a lovely Rowena Ravenclaw walked down the long aisle in a white and blue gown.
“Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to join two lovers in holy matrimony,” the priest said.
Godric held Rowena’s hand and looked deeply into her teary eyes.
“Do you, Godric Gryffindor, take this woman as your wife, till death do you part?”
“I do.”
“And do you, Rowena Ravenclaw, take this man as your husband?”
“I do.”
“Then, I now pronounce thee husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
And he did . . .

ROFL. I love this one. By the way, since the willow was planted during Lupin's time, which is a bajillion years after Hogwarts was founded, I've decided to revise the history a bit. Mainly on how it got it's name.
The Will-ow of the Wind
(18. Whomping Willow)
Godric and Rowena were cuddled up under the Weeping Willow that Helga had planted. They were just minding their own business when a tuft of bird feathers showered upon them.
“Rowena, didst thou see that?”
“Yes Godric. It seems to be raining feathers.”
When the looked up, the saw that the branches were moving. In no time, the branches started swinging so violently that the two leapt from their spot, just in time to avoid it’s club-like branches as it whacked the ground.
“Art thou alright, Rowena?”
“Yes Godric, but it seems the Whomping Willow has had too much fertilizer.”

Relatives from both Rowena’s and Godric’s side of the family teemed around Rowena’s hospital bed.
“Oh my, such a beauty to behold!” said one of Godric’s sisters.
“Indeed. A fine niece she will be!” said another.
“What shalt her name be?” Rowena’s mother asked.
Rowena smiled weakly and said, “She is called Gretchen, mother.”
The others ooh-ed and ahh-ed at the name she mentioned, and Godric smiled at them. “We are pleased that you welcome the presence of our new-born,” he said cheerfully.
They were all sure that they’d soon be teeming around this same girl once she grew up.

Rowena knelt in the soil as she tended her roses. Her rimmed hat shielded her head from the sun, and the Dragonhide gloves she wore kept the dirt out of her delicate hands.
As she was doing this, Godric was in his office, gazing at her from the inside. “She’s quite a lucky woman, Godric,” Helga said as she put a hand on his shoulder. He grinned and said, “I find myself even luckier, Helga, for it isn’t everyday you stumble across a beautiful woman such as her and marry her in time.”
They smiled and continued to watch her.

Family
(2. Muggle Studies)
The students filled the classroom the moment Godric summoned them. They were all quite excited fro their first Muggle Studies class, as he could clearly see. Today, they were taking up Muggle Families.
As the lesson progressed, Godric couldn’t help but think of his own family. His new, happy family with Rowena and their child, Gretchen. Luck seemed to always be on his side, for he was blessed with such beautiful people.
“Before I dismiss you, I’d like you to write an essay on what you think makes your family special. Due tomorrow. Dismissed,” he said with a wide smile.
