It was the last thing that was brought to his ears in the man’s life. It went quiet, or it seemed to. He could see the screaming mouth of Harry move, but he didn’t hear anything. At that point his whole life was flashing before his eyes. Sirius had now found out that that part of dying was right. Everything, even the stuff he couldn’t remember. From when he was born, to when he learned how to walk, to his first day at Hogwarts.
It almost felt calming. It felt like water rushing over his body, cooling him off from a harsh fire that he had to walk through. Sirius could almost see and feel burns forming on his flesh and then melt away with the cold rush of water. He was now alone—he was feeling alone. Then he felt himself fall slowly to sleep.
Not only now were his burns melting away, but so were all the problems he had ever felt in the world. He let a smile come across his face and let his eyes drop down.
Then they opened, and it was no longer dark. His vision blurred as he awoke in mist. Then he heard it.
"It’s been a while Padfoot.”

“James?” Sirius silent voice echoed through the dark forbidden forest.
The four Marauders were deeper than they had ever been. Sirius some how managed to get away from the other three and was now searching for the others.
“Remus?”
There was no answer. Sirius wasn’t scared, and he told himself he wasn’t worried either. The boy was headstrong. He just didn’t know where the others were. Perhaps they had all ran back to the castle—maybe they were trying to pull one over Sirius. His wand came into his hand and placed on his palm.
“Point Me.” Sirius made sure to say it clear enough.
The wand twirled for a moment then steadied and pointed to his right. Sirius knew going north would only send him deeper into the forest. He started to make his was back south towards the castle.

Twitchy Ears Hex
They all gathered around the boy as he tried to cover his ears. People from all houses—who stood there laughing- watched him try to hide the wiggling and twitching of his enlarged ears.
“Good one Sirius.”
James and Sirius high fived as they watched the Slytherin boy’s ears squirm. They both laughed as Snape’s face turned to a bright red.
“Well you know it wouldn’t be nearly as good if you didn’t make his ears so big.” Sirius laughed.
“Me? Oh I think you got it all wrong my dear friend. His ears are naturally that size. Poor soul really, to have such enormous ears.”
The boys laughed. Sirius turned around to see Lily staring him straight in the face. She had a look of disgust and disappointment mixed. James turned around laughing then stopped as soon as he saw Lily. Her green eyes moved to look at him and glared.
“Oh c’mon Evans!” James said as the two boys watched her walk off.

James walked after Lily who was now making her way back to the common room. She turned around sharply. James stopped, making sure he did not run into the girl.
“No I did not Potter!” Lily gave him a stern look.
Sirius came walking up to the two when the girl turned to look at him and pointed.
“And you! I don’t know how either of you could be so cruel. Like really?”
“Lily it was just me. What makes you think that James did something?” Black tried to cover for his friend.
“You really think I am that stupid? I know he had a part in it. Who ever taught you two engorgio really need to get they’re screws checked.”

“Oh Sirius, I could never get the hang of this. Could you show me once more.”
A grin came upon the boy’s face when Alicia Wicket—a, you could say… more developed girl- asked for his help. James gave him a quick wink as Sirius got up and walked towards Alicia.
“Well for you Alicia, I guess I could.” Sirius took his wand in his hand. “You see Alicia. You have to just move it like this. Accio ball.”
A small rubber ball came flying towards Sirius’ hand. He smirked as he caught it.
“Oh you make it seem so easy. I wish I were as good as you Sirius. You know… your amazing.”

“I think we might have found the perfect place.”
Four boys came tumbling into the tree trunk of the Whomping Willow late at night. Sirius’ eyes scanned the tunnel trying to find some light. It seemed cramped for the four boys. The only one who seemed at ease—or at the same ease he always is at- was Peter.
“Well it would be perfect if it wasn’t so dark and had a bit more space. Really James. Do you think it could hold a whole werewolf?”
Remus’ voice echoed off the walls of the tunnel and was brought into the ear’s of all the boys multiple times.
“Lumos.” Sirius’ voice now filled their ears. “Well I am sure it gets bigger. Only continuing on will tell.” | |

Light from the half moon outside filled the building with light. Sirius and his companions had all finally reached the end of the tunnel and found they’re places in a dusty old house. Once reaching the floor they all stood up and brushed off they’re school robes.
“And you didn’t think that this was the perfect place.” James said in an I-Told-You-So kind of voice.
“Nox.” Sirius said letting the light die out from his wand.
“Okay fine James, you win.” Remus looked out the doorway. “You think anyone lives here.”
Sirius let out a bit of a chuckle. “Does it look like anyone has lived here for ages? Where do you think this place is anyways?”
Peter looked out the crooked window to see the faraway streets of Hogsmead. He felt proud of himself to be the first one to find out where they were.
“Do you know that old shack outside of Hogsmead?”
“Oh you’re kidding!” James laughed as he looked out the window. “They guy isn’t joking. We’re in the abandoned shack just outside the village.”
Sirius chuckled. “Great. We’re going to make this place famous.” | |

“Legilimens, dangerous and not to ever be dwelled in the hands of only students like you. It is my personal opinion that the only one’s who should know how to do such a thing is the Ministry, and only the Ministry. Now can someone tell me what it is?”
Several hands were put up into the air. Sirius’ and James’ were two of the few not having they’re hands in the air. It wasn’t a surprise either. They two of them sat in they’re chairs.
“Yes Remus?”
“It’s the invasion of the mind. The person who can perform this will invade the victims mind and will have all access to his or hers memories, emotions and thoughts.”
“Five points to Gryffindor. Now in this class it will be merely informing you of this. We aren’t actually going to do any magic so put your wands away.”
Sirius didn’t hear anything the teacher was saying. His eyes seemed to be glued onto the back of the head of a light haired Ravenclaw girl. | |

The two students of Hogwarts were sitting in the forbidden forest together. It was darker than usual, for it was in the middle of the night. They decided earlier in the day they should meet up somewhere late at night.
“Are you sure we will be all right Sirius?”
“I’ll protect you if anything goes wrong Audrey.”
The blond Ravenclaw curled up closer to the Gryffindor boy. He had a look of achievement on his face. He took out his wand from his back pocket.
“How about we make this place look a bit brighter?” Sirius looked over and saw a faint smile. “Expecto Patronum.”
A silvery large dog came out of his wand. It ran about the forest floor and then walked over to Sirius and Audrey. She smiled as she tried to get in closer to Sirius.
“Oh Sirius, that is absolutely gorgeous.” | |

A small piece of paper came floating down to Sirius' table. He looked up from his notes as he looked at the small folded parchment. He took a glance behind him and saw Alicia give a small smile and a wave. She had her pack of friends surrounding her. Each of them were all giggling and wispering into her ear.
Sirius unfolded the fold and read the small handwriting of the girl.
Hogsmead weekend. You and me?
Sirius had a bit of a grin on his face. Alicia did have some- Well- nice qualities. He thought about it.
"Aren't you with that Addy girl?"
James voice broke through Sirius mind as he looked down at the paper again. He sighed.

Knitting Charm
The marauders were all sitting in their common room. Peter—also known as Wormtail- was at the moment staring at the kitting needles that were floating in mid air. The yarn slowly started to make the shape of a scarf as they boys talked.
“Oh good it’s still going.”
Lily came back from outside of the Fat Lady’s Portrait None of the boys asked her where she went. All they were told to do is watch the needles. Sirius looked over at the needles then over to James. After giving James a look he got up and started to walk up to his dormitory, only to have James walk in a couple seconds later.
“What is up?”
“I don’t think I am going back home this summer.” Sirius said as he sat down on his bed.
James didn’t ask and further. He knew that is Sirius wanted to say more, he would. They both walked down back to Remus, Peter and Lily. The three of then smiled at the boys when they sat back down and Sirius turned his attention—once more- back at the knitting needles. | |

James waved his wand back and forth as he looked at the frog. It crocked at him—as though to respond hurtful to what he said.
“Ah man not you little toad. This class.”
“James, you talking to your frog is lame.” Lily said as she walked by the four boys practicing on their frogs and toads.
“Silencio.”
Remus’ voice traveled the Sirius’ ears from the other side of their desk. He looked over at his toad—which no longer crocked. Sirius tried to do the same but it still didn’t work for him. | |
