Hi! Welcome to another set of my ficlets. I'm Jess, and I've written a few SS100/50/25, and I'm back to write more, this time on Lily and James' time in hiding. My own timeline is based on canon information written in the series, but also what J.K. Rowling has said in interviews, which brings me to a timeline (part canon/The Queen's own words, and part my own speculation); DISCLAIMER: The wonderful world of Harry Potter including ALL canon characters, subjects, spells etc. belong to the incredible J.K. Their cellar was dank, the only light coming from flickering lanterns lining the room. Lily was huddled against the wall, a hand covering her still-small belly.
"I know James, but it was the best Albus could do for now. Tomorrow, perhaps, we can be upstairs again. Once the charms have been cast on the house."
James paced up and down, and accidentally kicked a box. A jar fell to the concrete floor, and rolled towards Lily.
She pulled out her wand. "Inferell," she said, pointing to the jar. A flame of blue was caught in the jar. James sat down next to her, and they warmed their hands over the bluebell flame.
"Day one of the rest of our lives," James said with mocked enthusiasm.
"The Order will get him, James. Voldemort will not live through this war. He will not win. Our world will not be dominated by him and his army," she said, a sob escaping.
James tightened his hold of his wife, letting his own hand rest on top of hers, over her abdomen, where their child was growing. Safe and nurtured within its mother's womb.
