Hey there. I'm Sarah (or Grapeh) and these songs are dedicated to my SSRPG Charrie Adelaide. These drabbles will contain moments past and present and maybe even somewhere in the future. All of these songs are something Adelaide would listen to herself so the playlist is a little peek into the inside of her mind. Enjoy the soundtrack of her life.

♬ Walking on Sunshine
Age: 15

I'm walking on sunshine , wooah
I'm walking on sunshine, woooah
I'm walking on sunshine, woooah
and don't it feel good!!

Adelaide couldn’t believe it. She was finally going to get to go to Hogwarts. She’d been waiting for this day since she got her letter four years ago. Four years of pestering her parents were no longer going to waste.

She had her music loud as she prepared herself for Diagon Alley. Addi put on one of her favorite dresses and a big smile. Today was a good day.

No more being the weird girl no one talked to. No more trying to fit in. Now was her time to stand out. And she couldn’t be any happier.

♬ Perfect
Age: 11

'Cause we lost it all nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and we can't go back
I'm sorry I can't be perfect

Adelaide sat on her bed crying, clutching her Hogwarts letter to her. She’d always known she was different and didn’t belong. The kids at school liked to tell her that everyday. Now she had the chance to be with people like her and her parents said no.

No explanation. No arguing. She wasn’t going to go to a magic school. They had appearances to keep up. And to them that was the most important thing in the world. More important than their outcast daughter who dreaded the thought of school everyday. Addi continued to sob. She hated her parents.

♬ Anything but Ordinary
Age: 12

Sometimes I get so weird
I even freak myself out
I laugh myself to sleep
It's my lullaby

Adelaide sat by herself on the playground, watching all the normal children running around. She sighed wondering why it was such a big deal if she looked like she fit in or not. She didn’t want to fit in. She wanted to stand out and be herself, without getting picked on.

She watched as a couple of girls walked by and giggled. Addi sighed and buried her nose in the spell book she’d snuck out of the house. Of course it was hidden behind another to keep it from the muggles. She couldn’t help but grin at her little secret.

♬ Fly Like an Eagle
Age: 15

I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me

Adelaide had a new found love: flying. Ever since Astronomy and the Quidditch tryouts, she kept finding herself walking down to the practice pitch just to fly around. She still had to use a school broom, but she was going to ask Derry what would be best to buy. Because obviously the Quidditch Captain would know right?

That was the last thing on her mind right now. Adelaide mounted the broom and kicked off the ground. She soared faster and faster, around and around the pitch. She couldn’t get over the freeness she felt. She belonged up in the air.

♬ Breakaway
Age: 13

Trying hard to reach out
But when I tried to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I prayed I could break away

Adelaide sat on her bed, just writing in her journal. Another day at school has passed. Another day of getting picked on. Another day closer to getting out of this place. She watched as a tear drop hit the paper. It was hard enough being a teenager, but throw in being an outcast as well and you can forget it.

She heard the doorbell ring. “ADELAIDE! Mr. Samson’s here!” Oh right. It was Tuesday. Magic learning day. At least she had that to look forward to. Magic always made her world brighter. If only she could do it everyday…
