They say that a patronus is a charm for protection. Protection. Isn’t that an overused word? It’s thrown about to much these days.
I hear their screams and cries of my name, “Ginny!” They shriek, although it is almost too late for me. I am so lost.
I sigh. I cannot take much more. They’re swarming around me now. Smooth, silent, sucking. Think of something happy. Escape from my castle.
So I close my eyes. Waiting, waiting to feel something elating, something pleasing something strong.
Harry in the common room, that fateful night.

And so slips forth, my silvery angel.

The music pulses about the hall in a sweet lullaby. It’s fresh and bouncy, and it induces laughter from us all. I can’t help but giggle as Hermione’s mahogany mane swirls about her shoulders as she spins, and Ron. Dear Ronald stares in admiration. It is only a matter of time.

The Yule Ball is needed, very needed, snow is falling outside the ceiling tells us so, and in my arms is the chosen one. Or Harry. Even though I’d honestly think that tattooing the chosen one across his forehead would be funny, he silences my words with his kisses.

The morning would break soon. The sun would rise and spread its fire over the treetops until it spreads into her dormitory. The youngest Weasley, fiery in her nature was tired. It was only a matter of time now. She’d done all her home work, everything, so he couldn’t yell at her too much.
Herbology, it wasn’t one of Ron’s finer subject, and Transfiguration was her shining subject, but. Still.
Ron wouldn’t mind too much would he? When he found out his baby sister had transfigured his Herbology homework into a tissue box? He needed it after eating Lavender’s face.

She had hair like red silk, and before I knew, I was moving my hand towards her, to move her fiery mane out the way, to brush it behind her ear. I couldn’t help myself. I knew. I knew she was Ron’s little sister but she was Ginny to me. No she was Gin.
“Harry,” She spoke quietly, faint rosy blush settling over those freckled cheeks of hers. I looked at her, unsure, but, I knew what I wanted to do.
She was hypnotic, addictive, beautiful. Mine.
I moved my lips to hers, like a moth to a Weasley flame.

So she’ll dry her eyes, and say her good byes, and wish for summers past. She’s watched time go, like a river flows just not as slow. All has gone, tinged with love and loss, remember the Phoenix song. Words have been said, and some with dread, while others were tainted dead red.
She’s been so beautiful, and been a disgrace, and now she must forgive. Ginny has evolved, seen more than she was supposed too. She’s stood through wars, battles and fights. Now Ginerva must rise. Look forward with soft brown eyes.

Because the future’s bright. The future’s Orange.

The Gryffindor Common room was alight with sunlight, summer streaming through the glass. Hermione was studying, no surprises, while Ginny stared at her feet, attempting to figure out what was missing.

Ron ran into the common room, yelling wildly as Harry chased afterwards, and firing sticking charms from the end of his wand. Amid the rather loud chaos, Ginny continued to stare at her feet. So captivating they were. Hermione sighed, and flicked her wand absently, no sound coming from her mouth as she effortlessly attached the two boys to the wall with a sticking charm.

Socks. Thought Miss Weasley.

There was no other way to describe it Ginny Weasley was well and truly furious. Draco Malfoy was going to have to remove his wand from a certain southern orifice if he continued to tell everyone he possibly could that Hermione was a mudblood. She was of course, a muggle born, and everyone knew it, but Malfoy had a wonderful way of twisting things to make it sound a thousand times worst that it really was.

So what if he was pureblood.

Ginny would show that Malfoy he was out of line.

…and possibly dye his hair bright red too…

She wears a ribbon in her hair, her skirt swills about her ankles, in silky waves of blue. Her eyes are fixated on a point, hypnotised by nothing. The grass is cool beneath her feet, soothing the feelings that storm beneath her skin. Wind rustles toying with her clothes and hair. She continues to watch, a look of wonderment across her features.

The skeletal horses, with wings of Pegasus, watch with empty eyes at the red head on the hill. They know that she is harmless, but the Threstrals still stand, protecting their young, from those they do not understand.

There is something oddly chilling about the cold slap of rain upon glass windows in the middle of winter. The water hits the ice and it slams with a shrill shriek before freezing. The youngest Weasley watches this with fascination, her five year old features screwed up in wonderment, but there is something fierce, determined, and solid behind the chocolate eyes.

It is only seven more years until she sees ice that swirls through the air, cold, cutting, despair filled ice. Ice that creeps up on the glass and settles there. Reminding you of darker times. The ice of Dementors.

She had tried to warn him, so many times. So many hours she had spent trying to get it through his head that doing such a thing was just stupid. Idiotic. Moronic. Completely and utterly…mad. Her eyes blazed lividly as she stormed over. Hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanoes had nothing on her as she brought down her rain of fury upon her boyfriend.

Ginny fumed again and made an angry sound in her throat. The guard looked at her and swallowed, freeing Harry at once, and he slinked past her, head hung with shame. At least he was beginning to learn.

Ginny Weasley was completely and utterly bewildered as she stared at the Whomping Willow, she was only eleven, and a tree that fought back was completely beyond her understanding…even if she was a witch. She blinked a couple of times the chocolate coloured orbs shimmering with confusion. She’d heard all about the stories from her brothers, but surely it couldn’t be true…

She tilted her head to the side looking at the branches with wonder as she failed to figure out why it was staying so still. Those sharp eyes missed a blue car as it hurtled towards the tree.
