Kurumi folded her arms across her chest and glared. "Selina...NO ONE else knows about my hiding place for cookies in my sock drawer. THOSE were a gift. NOT ones that could be eaten and I KNOW it was you."

"DID NOT!" Selina huffed. "I can read English you know! You label and color code everything!"

"DID TOO!"

Unbeknownst to either of the girls, the sugar loving pygmy puff that Kurumi had borrowed for a Care of Magical Creatures assignment was sitting on the bed with crumbs on its face.

61. kiss

The fifth year redhead was really starting to loath OWLs. She was convinced it was a series of tests constructed by the Ministry to torture poor, unfortunate souls for their own sick amusement. Seriously, this test was making her miss dinner! Thank Merlin for Kurumi's "hidden" cookie stash or she would starve.

Leaving the library to go to the Common Room, she heard a noise coming from a nearby broom closet. The redhead curiously opened the door to reveal....

"SELINA, CLOSE THE DOOR!"

"AHHH KURUMI, LEWIS!"

...

"I should close the door then...."

Some things a person could just not un-see.

33. classroom

Selina walked into the Charms classroom, followed close behind by Kurumi, with a feeling of nostalgia gracing the smile on her lips. Had it really been a decade already since her time at Hogwarts had come to an end? Well, not really an end as Hogwarts would always be there to welcome its students and professors back. Hands tracing over one of the desks, she stopped suddenly when she heard something crunch under her shoe. Bending down to pick it up, Selina laughed when she saw what it was - a chocolate frog box.

"Some things never change," she laughed.

81. Depression

Selina had no idea what to do. Kurumi was actually beside herself and all curled up in her bed without tea or Lewis or anything. She was depressed. The last time the redhead had seen her best friend like this was a majority of Kurumi's sixth year and that was just a bad year in general. So the fact that she was this bad drew a huge pit in Selina's stomach.

Deciding to take some action she curled up with Kurumi and hugged her, "Rumi, Walnut's in a better place now... he's peeing on the big carpet in the sky."

14. hogwarts, a history

Folding up her grey sweater, Kurumi set it on top of everything in her trunk and then closed the lid. That was it. The last of her things. Spinning around, Kurumi took another look at the room that had been hers for the past seven terms and her and Selina's for the past six.

"What am I going to do without you?" came a voice from the other bed.

"Continue to make Gryffindor proud. To make me proud," Kurumi replied, snuggling up next to Selina on her bed. "My story is done. Now it's your turn to make Hogwarts history."

39. duel

Kurumi's lip started to quiver as the Professor paired her up with her dueling partner. She could NOT duel Selina. That was her best friend and she could never draw her wand on her best friend in a dangerous way. "I-I can't duel her. She's my best friend."

The redhead laughed at her friend's distress and tried to reason with her, "Kurumi, its just class. Its fine. Just duel me."

Sucking up her tears Kurumi choked out, "O-okay." Then in one swift motion she drew her wand and sent her friend flying across the room into the wall.

"...Ouch."

..... "SORRRYYYYYYY!!!"

28. timeturner

"Well...how about at eleven?" Selina asked while tapping her foot.

"Can't. I'm holding a study session in the library for first years," Kurumi sighed as she flipped through her planner.

"And I have Qudditch practices at noon...what about at one?"

"Nope. I have an appointment with Professor Newlin."

"Two then?"

"Lewis is tutoring me in Potions..."

Selina arched and eyebrow and dismissed commenting. "Ooooooookay then...what about after that? You have to eat dinner sometime."

"I only have ten minutes for dinner tonight..."

"Merlin Kurumi. I feel like I need a timeturner just to be your best friend!"

42. portraits

She tapped her foot anxiously alone in the small side room. The violet-eyed, young woman did not want to be alone, but her best friend, who had previously been keeping her calm, had gone outside to handle a few last minute details for her best friend. And, according to Selina, she was not allowed to leave the room.

So finally, after what seemed like several hours, the door clicked open and the redhead peaked in the room with a small muggle camera.

"Sorry for the wait, Rumi. I just wanted to have a portrait of us on your wedding day."

78. author's choice : assumption

"RUMI! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!" Selina exclaimed as she tackled Kurumi onto the bed. "I told you! Worrying over nothing. Of COURSE you were going to be accepted."

Laughing, Kurumi attempted to whack Selina with a pillow to get the sixth year off her. "You know what happened the last time we assumed things," she replied, whacking Selina in the face.

"Whatever," Selina retorted, whacking the seventh year back with her own pillow. "If you can't take the heat, don't tickle the dragon. And you CAN take the heat so..."

Selina gave Kurumi another solid whack to the face.

48. leprechaun

The freshly graduated University student nervously picked at her finger nails as she waited with Selina in front of her interviewer's house for her new job. "Selina," she squeaked nervously, "What if he hates me and doesn't give me the job?"

Rolling her eyes, Selina replied monotonely, "Kurumi, you were top of your class, an intern at the Ministry and created the cure for dragon pox. If this goblin doesn't pick you for the job he's an idiot."

Then a redheaded goblin came out to introduce himself to his prospective employee- Kurumi.

"AWWWWW, Selina, he looks like a leprechaun..."

86. daring

"But...how..." Selina gasped as she reached forward with one hand and began to poke the screen with her index finger. "What is this magic?!"

"Selina...I've told you a thousand times that it isn't magic," Kurumi sighed as she dragged her friend away only to bring the two of them into view of the video camera and their image appeared on the screen Selina had been poking.

"BUT HOW ARE WE IN TWO PLACES AT ONCE?! HOW CAN MUGGLES CURSE PEOPLE?!"

"Hush Selina!" Kurumi hissed. "You are supposed to be the daring one."

"Daring and rational different," Selina huffed.

47. portkey

The redhead huffed as Kurumi fiddled with her bow tie. "Why do I have to go as the boy, Kurumi?" She pouted dramatically.

"Because, Selina," Kurumi said slapping Selina's hands away from the bow tie she was trying to fix, "you asked ME to this best friend dance at the Ministry, NOT the other way around."

"Fair enough," the redhead said pinning her hair back.

A familiar blonde walked into the room suddenly, "Sup, Kurina! Ready to go?"

"Almost, Vivi," Kurumi said.

"You bring the portkey?" Selina asked.

"Yeup! Here it is..." Vivi pulled out a chocolate frog wrapper.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"

13. quidditch

Kurumi was never going to be as avid a Quidditch fan as Selina was. Everyone knew that. Selina knew that. Sometimes she didn't think it was possible for anyone to be as big a fan as Selina. In Selina's circle of friends, Kurumi was probably the least Quidditchy of them. Which was why she was surprised when Selina and asked her to attend the Quidditch World Cup with her and her family.

"You sure you brought the right person?" Kurumi asked while she toyed with her ticket idly.

"Rumi, there is no one else I would rather share this with."

66. Pace

Selina was going to throw up. This was SO stressful... Kurumi had been in there for hours and the healers had told her that it wasn't supposed to take this long. Typically it only took a few hours and she had been in there for what seemed like SO much longer. So she paced. And Lewis looked awful. Merlin, she felt really bad for him. Poor bloke had to be nervous.

Finally the healer came out and both Selina and Lewis looked up anxiously. She grinned and said, "You wanna come and see?" And they did- the baby was beautiful.

84. angry

Selina was lying face down on her bed with her head buried in her pillow so far that it was a wonder that the Quidditch captain hadn't suffocated herself. This sucked. Royally sucked. She was almost willing to compare the suckyness of the situation to losing Mortimer. Who was she kidding, this really was more sucky! Groaning loudly, Selina buried her face deeper into her pillow.

"Selina...don't be like that..." Kurumi pleaded as she rolled onto her side. "It's just cake..."

"It wasn't JUST cake...it was RED VELVET CAKE and Peeves blew it up! I'M IN A RAGE!"
