The chain magically lengthened enough to fit both of them at once as she draped the timeturner around Harry’s neck. She couldn’t imagine doing this mission without Harry. He was her backbone, and always would be there to protect her.
“Three turns,” Hermione repeated in a hurried whisper. “Just three. Okay.”
Harry stared into her eyes, completely and utterly puzzled. She turned the device, and back three hours they fell. Pulling the chain off Harry’s neck, she felt like they would be able to accomplish the mission Dumbledore gave them.
“More than one innocent life. Let’s go.” So they ran.

The snitch was JUST out of his reach. Unfortunately, Malfoy was sneering smugly at him from across the field as he and Harry were racing towards it. They swooped over the Gryffindor stands, where he saw Hermione. That’s when he lost it.
He missed the snitch, and fell from his broom, falling rapidly down into darkness. It surrounded him, smothered him.
Harry jolted awake from his nap, looking around the common room.
“Are you alright?” Hermione asked, rushing over to be next to him. She placed her hand on his, and he instantly felt better.
“Yeah. Bad dream. I’m fine.”

It was FREEZING outside. Why on earth did the boys have to make her come out here? She had studying to do after all… it was nearly Christmas break! She didn’t even have Ginny by her side either, so Hermione was really kind of let down.
But, it was entertaining to watch snow fly between Ron and Harry and a few others in the courtyard. She laughed, up until she got hit in the chest with a very cold lump of snow.
“HARRY!” she squealed loudly, watching him grin. Then, she laughed again and ran towards them all, tackling Harry.

Once at the Weasley’s, Harry couldn’t help but be jolly and happy because it was the Christmas holidays. Even though Christmas came and passed, the holidays were far from over. He, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny sat around downstairs in front of the fireplace in their new, handmade pajamas from Molly, talking about random things. Ron was on about a story that Harry had already heard, and really no one was paying attention to him.
Glancing around the room, he and Hermione locked eyes. A small smile started on his face, at the same time hers did.
What was that about?

It was easier than normal to head off to Astronomy today. Harry was to be her partner for tonight’s stargazing and charting, so she definitely could get work done, unlike with Ronald.
"I think that’s… Andromeda," Harry said, staring hard into the telescope.
"Yeah," Hermione said, not even looking into her scope. She was staring at Harry instead of paying attention to their work. She shook her head, looked into the scope, and focused. "I mean… yeah, you’re right. Good job Harry."
She smiled warmly at him when he faced her. He beamed back, and scribbled down on his paper.

He really needed a date the Yule Ball. He was, after all, a champion. And going in there without one would be humiliating. Hermione would be a good person to ask. And after he did, his heart sank a little after she told Harry that she already had a date. Especially since she didn’t say who.
So, he asked Parvati, and he nervously waited for her at the bottom of the grand staircase.
Hermione just so happened to walk down the stairs as Harry looked up. She looked stunning tonight.
Except, she would look better as Harry’s date, not Krum’s.
