#36 Muggle

“I want to kill Dan!” Dee exclaimed as she was tempted to throw a vase at the TV. He was such an idiot. GRR! My sparkle!

Torin winced. He did not want to have to repair the TV with magic because she was a little too involved in a show.

“Calm down, Dee,” he said as he tried to keep the situation under control.

“I want to hit him!” She huffed and crossed her arms. She would slap that boy if she could.

“Sometimes I think you are a little too into Muggle things..” He shook his head at her.

# 100 Homework

“I hate homework,” Delanie growled, tossing her books onto the common room couch.

Torin laughed. “You’ve only mentioned this a thousand times, Dee.”

They both plopped down on the couch, Dee letting out a long, dramatic sigh. “I know,” she said. “But still. Why do teachers give out this garbage? It’s so rude!”

Torin just looked at her. He was Prefect; he should tell her to do her homework. But instead he let his little adopted sister mope, knowing she’d get over it soon enough.

“Will you do my homework for me?” Delanie asked him.

Torin snorted. “Not a chance.”

#1 Herbology

Dee sighed as she tried doing her Herbology homework. Why did this class have to be so boring?

“Torin, can you please do my homework for me? You already did all of yours.”

He rolled his eyes at her. How would she ever manage to graduate if she couldn’t do her homework? “Why? It’s like the easiest class ever.”

"You’re just saying that because you’re in loooove with Professor Bunbury.” She started making kissy faces.

“Shut up,” he replied as he got up from his seat and walked away.

“Wait; is it Professor Lupa you’re in love with, Torin?”

Hmmm...

# 56 Fight
[For: Sneakeh Cat]

“Torin, I can’t believe you!” Delanie exclaimed, slamming the door shut behind her. This was completely pointless since Torin was also a Hufflepuff; all he had to do was speak the password and he too was in the common room.

“Why are you so upset?” Torin demanded. “You read my diary all the time!”

Delanie scoffed. “It’s different! I’m a girl! You can’t read my diary!”

“And I’m a boy! I’m glad we know each other’s genders!” Torin replied. “It’s only fair that I read your diary when you read mine.”

Dee rolled her eyes. “Oh, go play in traffic.”

#30 Feast

Torin loved Feasts.

This is why he was piling food all over his plate and digging in. Not that he was being sloppy, because Torin was never sloppy or messy. He was perfect when he ate anything.

Yummy... Toast.

“Geeze, you aren’t going to leave any for the rest of us,” Dee commented dryly as she joined him and took some food herself. “What would Brody think?”

“She loves me just the way I am.”

“Why? The way you are is a pig.” She rolled her eyes and took a bite of her dinner roll. Why couldn’t boys have manners?

#92 Chocolate

“What the heck is this?!” Delanie demanded, staring down at the plate in front of her.

Torin rubbed his hands with a dish towel. “That, my adorable little sister, is Chocolate Surprise.”

“Surprise?” Delanie repeated. “I don’t think there is a SURPRISE about how disgusting this looks!”

“Hey! Don’t talk about it until you try it, Dee. I bet you’ll like it,” Torin replied.

“If I get food poisoning, I’m suing,” Dee muttered. Taking a bite, she closed her eyes and prepared herself for the worst. Instead, all she could do was imagine Heaven. “This is amazing!”

Torin snorted. “Duh.”

#41 Thestrals

Wow... Thestrals were amazing even if they could be a bit creepy at times.

Torin reached out to pet one, and was surprised to see that Dee was looking at a second one. She could see them as well? Torin didn’t know anyone else that could see Thestrals.

“Who did you see die?” he asked curiously.

“My mama..” she replied shortly. She did not like seeing them at all.

Oh. “I’m really sorry, Dee..” He forgot about petting the Thestral and grabbed her hand, squeezing it for a moment.

“Can we go so you can make me a pie?”

“Yes.”

# 95 Snowball
[For: Spencer.Reid.Obsessive]

“Tooooorrrriiinnn!” A voice called.

Torin sat in the common room, writing. He was on a mission to send Tammy a letter! As he wrote on the parchment, he heard someone cooing his name. Spinning around, he searched for the person but did not see them. Empty common room. He was probably hearing things. He went to write again but stopped when he heard his name again! What the-

BAM!!!

He didn’t even have to turn around; he could tell from the evil cackle that it was Delanie Chanel who had struck him in the face with a big fat snowball.

#4 Ancient Runes

“Come over here,” Torin told Dee as he patted the couch. He had something special that he wanted to give to her as a gift. It wasn’t anything overly expensive or flashy, but it was from the heart.

“What is it?” she asked curiously as she closed her book and moved over to the couch he was sitting in.

He pulled a box out and handed it over to her, watching her open it.

“It’s a bracelet... It says “Best Friends Forever” in Ancient Runes.” He smiled at her.

“Wow... Torin...” She couldn’t believe it. “I love you, Torin Kane.”

# 50 Boggart

“I’m curious… what is your boggart?” Torin inquired as he toyed with the lock on the box that held a boggart. They were in the DADA class after hours; Torin was tutoring lazy Delanie.

“Never you mind,” Dee answered.

Torin opened the box and watched the boggart float out. What shocked him was the form it took: In front of them was a fake door with a boggart-Torin standing next to it. Boggart-Torin opened the door and disappeared.

“The thing that scares you the most is me leaving you?” Torin questioned.

Dee nodded sadly. “Yes.”

Torin stepped forward, hugging her.

#16 Dragonhide Gloves

Torin was annoyed.

“Dee! For the millionth time: stop reading my book of thoughts!” Yes, it wasn’t a diary because he wasn’t a girl.

“You mean your diary?” She smirked, amused by his melodrama.

“It is not a diary,” he hissed as he finished potting the plant he was working on in the greenhouse. She could be so annoying at times. He left the thing in his dorm for like 10 minutes, and she read it.

“You are such a girl...”

“Oh, whatever!” he snapped, taking off his dragonhide gloves and tossing them on the table.

“My point exactly.”

# 63 Mooch

“Dee, why do you always buy me stuff?” Torin questioned as he was handed the newest present that Delanie had given him. He stared down at the box and its orange wrapping paper.

Delanie smiled. “Because I love you and I love to spoil you.”

“You buy me more things than my parents do.” He pulled back the pretty wrapping and took the lid of the box. Inside was a Finding Nemo picture frame with a Delorin picture in it. Torin beamed. “Thank you!”

Delanie laughed. “If I just give you presents, you’ll have no reason to mooch off me.”

#59 Ignore

“La la la la! I can’t hear you!” Torin muttered as he covered his ears and kept singing an annoying tune. Maybe that would get her to stop it.

“Torin!” Dee exclaimed as she pulled at his hands. “Stop acting like a little kid and accept that you are gorgeous.”

“I am not! So stop calling me that.” He was tired of this. People needed to stop calling him gorgeous.

“You are! You’re like a Greek cherub. Or cupid. Just not fat.”

“La la la la la! I’m ignoring you.” He started to hum now.

“Oh for Gods sakes, Torin!”

# 32 Common Room

“Torin, my brother, we own the common room,” Delanie sighed, her feet propped up on the table in front of her.

The two sat together on the couch, Delanie’s laptop between them as they watched Gossip Girl and ate enough junk food to feed a colony of fat kids. It was a typical school night, the two in their pajamas, Torin having finished his homework and Dee having ignored her homework like it didn’t even exist.

“This is so true,” Torin replied, reaching for more candy. “All hail the Hufflepuff Common Room; home to the rulers of Oompa Loompa Land!”

#29 Pensieve

“Come on!” Dee called out as she grabbed Torin’s arm and started dragging him towards the other room. She had gotten something and she wanted him to see it. Something that her daddy had given her. It had been in the family for a while.

“What is the hurry?” he asked as he felt her dragging him. Why was she in such a rush? And then he saw it; there was a pensieve on her desk.

“You have a pensieve? I hate you.”

She laughed at him. “You know you love me.” Because who wouldn’t?

“You are such a dork.”

# 2 Muggle Studies

“What exactly are we doing here?” Torin asked as Delanie pulled him through a busy Rome street. It was Easter holiday and Torin was spending time at the Chanel’s mansion.

“Homework, of course,” she answered.

Torin laughed. “Yeah, right. Like you’d ever do your homework.”

The two sat down on the edge of a fountain. Dee’s eyes were scanning the crowds of people.

Torin eyed her. “Well if you’re doing homework, what subject are you focusing on?”

“Muggle Studies,” Dee replied. “There’s nothing like studying hot Italian men!”

Torin’s eyebrows shot up. “Wait a second… Dee, you HAVE a boyfriend!”

#21 Veela

“Earth to Torin,” Dee called out to her best friend as she waved her hand in front of his face. He was practically drooling over the Veela that had just walked by them in the Great Hall.

Typical guy.

Torin was suddenly brought out of his trance. “Huh? You say something?” He looked at her curiously before turning to scan where the girl had gone off to.

“You know you have a girlfriend, right?” She probably wouldn’t like him ogling other girls.

“What she doesn’t know can’t hurt her.”

Dee shook her head at him. Brody would definitely kill him.

# 49 Yule Ball

Torin was standing at the foot of the banister in his dress robes, waiting on Delanie. He was a little sad that he and Brody were broken up, but he was going to the Yule Ball with his best friend, so that made up for it.

“How do I look?”

Turning to look up at the voice, Torin watched Delanie walk down the stairs. “Wow. You look amazing, Dee. You’re easily the most beautiful girl in the room.” He held out his arm.

She grinned, taking his arm. “You look just as hot. C’mon, gorgeous; let’s go have some fun.”

#76 Zap
(For HG_forever)

Torin sighed. He was exhausted and Dee was nagging at him again. Always nagging him about his eating.

“Torin, you can’t eat that. You have to watch your blood sugar!” Blah blah blah. She was like a mother hen sometimes.

“Dee, chill. I do watch it.” He appreciated her concern, but he didn’t need this.

“Sure you do. That’s why you’re zapping all this junk food in the microwave, huh?” She looked at him with narrow eyes, studying him.

“Oh, give off, Dee.” Since when was popcorn bad for you?

“You really are a stupid man.” She shook her head.

# 88 Sweet Tooth

“You know, it’s really rude of you to eat that candy in front of me,” Torin grumbled. “I hate your huge sweet tooth.”

Delanie sighed. “You can eat candy when your sugar gets low!”

Torin pouted. “But that rarely happens!”

“I’m sorry,” Dee replied. “Maybe one day I’ll inherit my dad’s diabetes and then we both won’t be able to eat candy. But until then, enjoy this taunt, courtesy of Delanie Luxe Chanel.” She popped some more candy into her mouth and smirked at Torin.

“You are evil,” he said.

Dee shrugged. “We all have to be something, my brother.”

#6 Divination

“Let’s see what the fates have in store,” Torin said as he shook the Magic 8 Ball. This was what he called Divination. So much better than tea readings.

“What on earth are you doing, brother?” Dee asked as she sat herself down beside him on the couch in the Common Room before taking a Chocolate Frog out of her pocket.

“I was just asking the Magic 8 Ball if I’d get some chocolate.” He grabbed the candy from her and popped it in his mouth before she could stop him. “All signs point to yes.”

He loved Muggle inventions.

# 53 Chase

Delanie was sitting in the common room, completely engrossed in a book. As Torin entered, he smiled, seeing her. But once his eyes caught sight of what she was reading, well… he stopped smiling.

“Delanie Luxe Chanel!” Torin exclaimed.

Dee turned to look at her best friend. “Torin Kristopher Kane!” She was acting innocent.

“What did I tell you about reading my diary?” Torin demanded. He ran towards her. “Give me that!”

Dee jumped up, running from Torin. “‘Dear diary, I love Brody’,” she mimicked his voice, reading his words aloud. “‘I wanna marry Brody!’”

Torin chased her. “Shut up!”

#54 Dare

Dee smirked, waving the big bag of sugar in front of Torin’s face.

“Dee, you know I can’t eat this.” It would make him really sick. And Brody would freak.

“Come on, Torin.” She could be so evil at times, but it was fun. And she didn’t seriously want him to eat all this sugar. She wasn’t that mean.

He reached out and snatched the bag, making her frown. That wasn’t very nice.

“I’ll eat it... if you can be nice to me for one day. I dare you.” And he knew that she couldn’t do it.

“I hate you.”

# 61 Kiss

Delanie and Torin sat cuddled up together, watching Gossip Girl on the laptop as usual. An intense scene with Dan and Vanessa was playing and all the sudden, the two characters were kissing! Delorin found this rather disturbing, since they both resembled Dan and Vanessa very much.

Dee pulled herself away from Torin’s grasp, moving to the other end of the couch. “Awkwwwwwward.”

“You’re telling me,” Torin murmured. “I’d rather kiss a dementor.”

“And I would rather kill off the whole world,” Dee retorted. “Anyway, I’m a great kisser. Ask Cody. But either way, you’re never going to find out.”

#65 Ooze

Food fights were awesome, though they made the apartment rather messy.

Torin ducked as Dee sent a container of yogurt flying at him.

SPLAT!

It hit the wall and got all over the cupboards. Oh, she was going to get it good for messing up his cupboards with yogurt and getting some in his hair.

He reached behind him and grabbed the cherry pie off of the counter, throwing it right at her face.

Cherry filling and pie crust oozed down her face and onto the floor.

“I’m giving you to the count of three before I kill you, Torin.”
