Smirking, Gabby made her way along the dungeon corridor and towards the Great Hall.

She could see those boys staring at her and it made her feel better than ever. They could look, but they couldn't touch; she was way too good for the likes of any of them. Give her someone hot like a Frenchman or even better: a fellow Italian.

She made all the girls jealous because they knew that their boyfriends wanted her. Gabby couldn't help that she was born flawless and they didn't know how to keep their men in check.

What had possessed her to take this Merlin forsaken subject in the first place??

Oh right. It had been her idiotic boyfriend.

Groaning, Gabby re-read the homework that they had been assigned. Did the Professor really expect her to write out an entire paragraph using runes? Did he not think that she had a life? Better things to do with her time than this nonsense?

Who even USED runes?

"Okay, this is NOT happening again," she told herself. There was no way that she was going to waste time with this stuff during OWL year. She was also dumping Dylan.

Full of confidence, eleven year old Gabby took a seat on the stool and waited to be placed in Slytherin. People were watching her, and she couldn't blame them because she was perfection.

Impatiently she waited for the Sorting Hat to be placed on her head, but then thought that it might gross up her hair; it WAS over a thousand years old after all. When was the last time someone bothered to wash it?

Disgusting.

As soon as the brim touched her head, the hat shouted out "SLYTHERIN!" Pfft. As if she belonged anywhere else. Definitely not in Hufflepuff.

Sometimes there was nothing better than a Hogsmeade weekend.

Gabby never failed to take any chance she could get to leave the cold, dank, and smelly walls of Hogwarts behind in order to enjoy fresh air and most importantly SHOPPING. Shame the village didn't really have much to offer besides candy that she didn't particularly care for. There wasn't even gelato.

Walking down the main street, the eighteen year old spotted an attractive looking man in his mid-twenties. Aaah, this was one of the things she loved most about this village. Continuing on she had a smirk on her face.

It was a good thing that Gabby was a morning person because otherwise she might have had the tenancy to sleep through her favourite class: Transfiguration. Like her idiot boyfriend was doing right beside her. Honestly. Men sometimes. She would just have to put a stop to that because this was the most interesting subject in the school.

Rolling her eyes, she picked up the textbook off of her desk and gave him a whack on the head with it as the teacher looked away.

"OUCH!"

Served him right and at least now he was awake and wouldn't miss anything.

Hufflepuffs were way too cheerful. It was sickening.

Gabby made a face as she glanced at the two Seventh Years gossiping away and giggling as if the world was full of sunshine and rainbows. Eye roll. THIS was exactly why she had little patience for that House; it was full of airheads. She knew this because one of her ex-boyfriends had been placed there and he was a moron.

Deciding not to dwell on someone who wasn't worth it, Gabby turned her attention towards the lake. Time to scout out any cute boys. Sadly there were none around.

This weird creep needed to go away.

Gabby had lost count of how many times she had asked him to leave her alone, but he still insisted on harassing her. She would have thought that being told 'no' a million times would sink into someone's skull, but apparently he was too dumb to be alive because he was asking her to go to the Yule Ball with him.

"Not for all the gold in Gringotts," she responded in an irritated tone.

He was not cute or yummy and he didn't know the meaning of personal space, so heck no.

There was something oddly magical about this moment.

The eleven year old couldn't put it into words. She was sitting on the couch in the common room with Daniel. He was telling her how pretty she was. Well, of COURSE Gabby already knew she was beautiful, but she was still going to give him points for that. It had been a compliment, after all. A rather obvious one, but still.

She really liked him. He was cute and always said nice things to her. He deserved something for that... Leaning in, she met her lips with his.

Obviously the Slytherin Quidditch Captain was an absolute MORON.

That was the only reason that Gabby could come up with as to why she hadn't made the cut. Clearly she made the perfect Beater because she had quick reflexes and strength. Anyone with sense would have placed her on the team but she was dealing with someone who lacked brain cells. "How someone who is so incompetent became a coach is beyond me. You will lose the Cup without me and I will laugh in your face when it happens, you idiot."

The Fourth Year walked off with a smirk.

Even though Gabby didn't have a sweet tooth, she still had occasional cravings for junk food. That was why she could be found in the kitchen shortly before curfew. The prospect of getting into trouble didn't scare her, but she didn't want the staff to take her away from the brownie that she was currently eating.

Hearing someone approaching, she looked up from the plate and was pleased to see that it was her boyfriend. Seemed that he had gone looking for her. He could be really clingy, but Gabby knew the effect that she had on men.

Was the sole reason why Hufflepuffs exist just to vex her? Even though Gabby knew that her anger towards the House was mostly based off of her ex-boyfriend she didn't really care; he DESERVED it. She was too good for him anyway. She was too good for all of the boys at this school though some of them were insanely hot. Most not so much, however.

Smirking, she added some hair loss potion to his bottle of shampoo before handing it back to Henry. Her ex was going to have a pleasant surprise next time he showered.

Grinning, Gabby twirled in front of the mirror in her bedroom.

She was unusually happy today. Not only was she back home for the Christmas holidays, but she had been surprised with a pair of beautiful dress robes. They had been laid out for her on the bed as a present.

Unsure of how she felt in the red one, she picked up the green. It was her favourite colour and would look amazing with her complexion. Not that she didn’t look amazing all the time because she was a total knockout without even trying. She had been born flawless.

Space could be so boring.

True, there were aspects of it that weren't, but when it came to the solar system, Gabby was not enthused. She had learned about these planets years ago because her mother was an astronomer. Even if she didn't know everything about space, she sure knew more about it than the other Second Years; she was a lot smarter than everyone else and they knew it.

Biting her lip, she glanced at the Astronomy textbook; her strong work ethic pushed her forward even if this was dull.
