Love Potion Mistress
Fall of 2075 – Ravenclaw House Table.
"A love potion?" He stands next to her, crossing his arms and frowning down at the girl on the bench.

Louisa lifts her head from the table and the face staring solemnly at her breaks her heart, "I am so sorry, really, I can't tell you how guilty I've been feeling." Her eyes were more sincere than ever.

"Seriously, Louisa? What did you want to accomplish from this?" He flops down, slightly away.

Louisa drops her gaze. "I wanted to punish you."

Dallin looks at her shocked, "For what?!"

She sighs and grabs her head, "For not liking me back."

24. House-elf
Summer 2076 – Great Hall, End-of-Term feast
… and the banner is on her head. Louisa squeaks instantly and pushes it away to see the source of that high-pitched giggle. "Who threw this?" She stands on her feet, her wand clutched in her hand ready to force the respect of Carter upon anyone.

Only it isn't just anyone. It is a baby house-elf.

Louisa's eyes widens at the small creature as he prances away letting other banners fall on students' heads and causing quite a hassle.

"I say we cut him open and see what makes him tick!" Her words come out to the staff in particular.

90. Present
Winter 2076 – Great Hall
Joao eyes the girl with as little bitterness as he can muster. "So, you're not jealous." Louisa, after blowing her nose, frowns up at him. Her clowny red nose looking ridiculous on her serious face.

"Adam's just a friend. I'm not jealous he got a girlfriend."

Joao knows instantly that she is jealous. For some reason that he can't put his finger on. Yet. "What are you then?" Because a second ago she was heatedly criticizing the so-called girlfriend.

With a huff, Louisa drops her gaze, "Are we going to be always like this? You doubt, I justify?"

He sighs.

35. Pureblood
Fall 2075 – Giant Treehouse

"Dallin? Why did you go to Ellie's house this summer?" Louisa asks the boy grinning wildly next to her and playing with her hand.

"To heal her of course!" He announces happily, "She was CURSED! By her aunt and she DIED!" He swings his torso to the back amusingly, "But then I SAVED her and died instead." Swings it back to the front, "And then I LIVED!" He flashes a grin and spreads his arms out.

Louisa blinks, ignores his comical posture and ponders over the shocking truth. He takes her hand again but this time, she draws it away.

46. Dungeon
Winter 2076 - Dungeons

A hate potion. One of the craziest risks Louisa has ever decided to do in her fourth year. Taking the potion with her best friend was not a good idea. Things were said, accusing fingers were pointed and then feelings were revealed.

Louisa didn't know how much she hurt the boy until that powerful hatred surfaced down in the dungeon. Lafay said as powerful as the potion works mirrors the honest emotions of the relationship between the people. If it is true, then Adam and Louisa share a very close friendship… that might be a bit more than friendship sometimes.

61. Kiss
Winter 2076 – The Pathways
Her breath is heavy, deep, and Louisa tries her best not to suffocate while he touches her cheek and leans in. She feels his lips on hers, her whole body reacts. On her fifteenth birthday, under one of the magical trees of Professor Bentley, when the sun is orange and about to set.

It's slow and wet but it's her first. And his.

When they break free, the girl's cheeks are burning and she stares blankly at the ground. He avoids looking at her face to give her some time; João might be cold, not toward her though.

Not anymore.

16. Dragonhide Gloves
Summer 2071 – Louisa's house in London.
The girl's school supplies lie on her bed. Jason and her mom are arguing in their bedroom and she doesn't want to eavesdrop anymore, she already knows that it's about her going to King's Cross the next week.

With a sigh, she goes through the list again. "Robes.." they're hanged in her closet, "Pet.." she's licking Dan somewhere, "Books…" a stack of them is packed in her trunk. "Dragonhide gloves." A pair of big, protective gloves sitting by her knee, she pokes them with a smile. "We're taming dragons." Is all she can make out of this school so far.

48. Leprechaun
Winter 2076 - Dungeon five, Lovers' Lair chamber.
Louisa punched her gloved hand, with the sponge, into the bucket sending a fountain of dirty water on the foot of her detention buddy. HEHE.

The buddy extended his sponge-holding hand blatantly across the slimy wall, and squeeeeeeezed. Payback. "Oops, did I do that?" He smirked down at the fuming girl.

Louisa gaped down at her half-wet tunic and swallowed the urge to kick him where it hurts the most. Louisa faked a smile, "Don't beat yourself up over it, Polly dear. I'm still the mature one and will overlook your clumsiness."

"Aww, thanks, Self-Righteous Sally."

Paulie was Louisa's Leprechaun.

20. Hogsmeade
Winter 2077 – Louisa's house in London
Dear Diary,

'They' say good things never last & no matter how much you're careful you always make mistakes and fall on your knees along the way. I officially announce myself on my hands and knees.

Everyone said he was the breach in the relationship. Ironically it was me who messed up bringing it all crumbling on our heads. They say go to your mom for consulting; mine was too busy nodding her head to Jason cussing me about untamed magic, and working her butt off to throw me a 'normal' sweet sixteen party I never asked for.

This sucks.

Spring 2077 - Hogwarts Grounds

Louisa is crouching behind a tree at the bottom line of forbidden forest, Adam is standing nearby staring mesmerized at the empty air.

"Can you see them?" She whispers, tugging at his sleeve.

He nods twice, "Two of them. They seem to like your metal egg."

Louisa frowns at the empty air, "They can NOT take it. It's my Charms homework." She bats her eyelashes at her best friend then.

Adam chuckles quietly and flushes a bit, "I'll get it for you."

Was it really so hard for the girl to notice how much he did for her? Not really.

36. Muggle
Summer 2077 – Louisa's house in London.

The man has his hands on his waist and staring at the girl that has grown too much to be his little Louisa. She has this obnoxious attitude, too. Her bags are scattered at her feet and her wooden stick, she calls a wand, is in a holster at her waist.

"No magic, Louisa." He repeats sternly, "No magic books, food, items, or whatever else you got in your bags." His eyes land on the luggage.

She nods curtly.

He hesitates, "I'll have to take your wand, too." He stretches his hand, "No magical items, remember?"

Only she is magical.

86. Daring
Fall 2077 – Dormitories.
Dear Diary,

I know what I have to do, what I need to do. I'm not writing to ask questions, analyze or even lay the blame on somebody about something I messed up. I'm writing to make it final. Definite. Real.

He needs to be helped and punished at the same time. I need to be the one setting him rules, red lines and do-not-cross signs. Anyone else backed away, gave up, didn't bother looking deep enough. He won't deflect with me. If I want to move, I really need to do this.

Tomorrow, I'll keep Joao Neves at bay.

73. Warn
Winter 2078 - Prefects' Lounge

Her eyes linger on his lips for a moment, the flush creeping into her neck up her cheeks as she goofily smiles. Maybe her fever is returning, maybe she's hallucinating, or maybe she's indeed attracted to him pinned to the ground by her cushion. Whatever the reason is, Louisa Carter did the one thing her body wants.

From within the black curtains of her hair, she leans forward, her lips slightly parted to kiss him. It doesn't take long for him to grab her waist and pull her closer, and for her to bury her hands in Paulie's hair.

Paulie.

58. Hoot
Late Summer of 2078

It was after midnight but sleep has abandoned her eyes for days now. Ever since her seventeenth birthday party, Louisa found herself staring at the ceiling in a far off fantasy and a wide, foolish grin on her face. It was exhilarating, the heart thumping, the hazy state in which her mind stayed in, the rush when she heard the name that goes with the face and the piercing blue eyes. Everything was so perfect, so unexpected and so promising.

She rolled over to her side, watching the open window, thinking and plotting. That party sure was such a hoot.

1. Herbology
Winter, 2079

One of the last assignments Louisa haa to do, and it is the perfect idea and with the perfect person. She sat on the swing that has Vickers' name side-by-side with hers. They've carved them last year in their Transfiguration class and the swing stayed in this year, too. They are growing vines and decorating it with flowers and magical plants but all Louisa can think of was how on this very swing, she has told him her secret and how on this very swing he wanted her to be his and he hers.

It is the perfect graduating year.

49. Yule Ball

Christmas 2080

Louisa's first time in America has been the most stressful yet amazing experience. Vick's family house doesn't resemble her house in any way; it is outrageously luxurious, spotless and there is a huge golden statue standing in front of the double doors. The New Year's party as it turns out is very fancy and uppity if it wasn't for his warm hand clutching hers at all times, she wouldn't have made it.

Later that night, they go to New Year's count, the ball dropping and the cheesy but romantic kiss. Everything is simple and happy, Louisa could hardly believe it.

4. Ancient Runes
Winter, 2079

Louisa is not bossy. She just believes that she knows what is best for her friends and what is lame-- strongly believed so, and she takes the appropriate steps to help them realize this. Like today in class, Louisa drags her chair and desk to place it between her very sweet boyfriend and his doofus friend who basically did nothing this term but get him in trouble. So she pushes her chair and table between them and flops down with a big grin on her face, ignoring the hissing and the grumpy murmurs from the bad influence that is Elijah.

43. Headmaster
Summer 2078

In her room in the leaky cauldron where Louisa spent most of her summers before she was sent off to Hogwarts, waited a small package. An envelope that had Hogwarts' crest. When Louisa walked into her room, her eyes caught the new package on her bed. She slowly opened the wrappings as a Head Girl badge slipped from inside. Unable to believe what this implied, even with her name etched on her badge, she tore open the envelope and read the letter hungrily reading Tate's name along with the new Headmistress' at the bottom of the letter.

It is true.

91. Future
Winter 2083

Standing in the middle of an empty apartment, Louisa stares out the window on the opposite wall over the sink. It feels like yesterday when she moved in here and started looking for a place to live in. It is only four years later yet she feels the change in the way she's looking at her life now. Four years ago she was invested too much in other people and their feelings, she was like a splash demanding to be felt and seen in any way.

Now, she demands to be seend and felt, but only in the right way.

64. Nap
Summer 2081

It always embarrasses Louisa to admit that she cannot sleep in a strange bedroom. Ever since she was a kid, she found difficulty sleeping somewhere other than her bedroom.

Even now, at the age of twenty, she lied in bed staring up at the ceiling and listening to Paulie snoring in the bed next to hers. She turns to her side, trying to look at him and wills herself to doze off but it only makes her stay awake for another hour.

Later, she drags her blanket and carefully curls up in the small space beside him. And falls asleep.

14. Hogwarts, A History
Timeless

Hogwarts is not just about Nicholas Flamell, Albus Dumbledore, Sirius Black or Harry Potter. Hogwarts is also about Adam, Joao, Paulie, Dallin, Vashti and many more. It is not just about a fight against blatant evil, it is also about the challenges and the small decisions every one of them had to make before they reach that point where they're trusted to be set free to lead the life they aspire to outside the walls of Hogwarts that was their teenage haven.

It is also about Louisa; What was easy, what was right, and which she decided to go with.

79. Trouble in Paradise
2078, summer

It's a known life lesson that life is hard. Even life tells you this by the way you're born with a scream. Louisa thinks it's too early for them to have to go through life's hard decisions already. But there she is, having her boyfriend get in trouble in the one year she's supposed to be a Head Girl and practically a Headmistress spy. Life is being too hard too soon.

On the way to the castle with Vickers and his friend in the prefect's compartment pretending to be the other two late prefects to the new headmistress. Oh joy.

9. Defense Against the Dark Arts
Fall, 2078

As if Louisa needs another reason to dislike this class but Aspen Odessa had to attend and make it even WORSE.

It's a perfectly normal, failing day in DADA when Louisa smelled something burning... and felt the smoke tickle her nose... and saw her SHOELACE ON FIRE! The "AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" that ensued her realization does not even match her shock, or the chaos the flame caused, for there goes the future boyfriend throwing himself at potential danger for her, the dormmate coolly observing the scene, and Aspen in the background perfectly hiding under her hoodie, her teeth gleaming in the dark.

11. History of Magic
Winter, 2078

Professor Scabior can be quite the cyberman but what he is doing in class right now is just... another level of coldness. Louisa can't even keep her mouth shut. She raises her hand. "So, this is how it's going to be? Our schoolmates freeze right in front of our eyes and we just go on learning?" A bunch of students murmur their agreement but only Milton, another Ravenclaw fool, speak up with her.

"Ten points from Ravenclaw for just annoying me, and if you do not like the fact that I am trying to teach, leave."

What else is new.

Little Woman
Summer, 2080

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Louisa hears her mother ask for the million time today. She's selling her aunt's house, the one she got after the old woman had died last year. It held a dear memory to her; Her first planned party that went nothing as planned but double the fun.

"Yes." She answers, toying with the cereal bowl on the table in front of her.

"What will you do with the money?" Pauline asks again, hoping for a real answer this time.

"My money. My business."

She wants to buy another flat, with wizarding surroundings.
