Hi! Okay so for those who don't know me I am Heather (HOPEendures a.k.a springbaby). This is my first set of drabbles ever and I am very excited to be writing them about my newest and most loveable SSRPG charrie Jezzabelle who I have become very fond of and I hope you'll love her just as much.

"Jezzabelle?"

The young redhead looked up from the flowers that she had been arranging to glance at her father. He stood awkwardly in the door of her greenhouse and stared at her waiting for a response to the question she hadn't heard.

"Oh …what?"

"What do you want for you birthday?"

Returning her focus back to her plants she gave him a small shrug. She wanted everything to go back to normal. She wanted a chance to fix things between her parents. But how could she go back in time? Without looking at her father she said softly, "A Timeturner."

"You and mom didn't even think about me did you? How this would make me feel? How much I would hurt?" Jezzabelle slammed the door in her father's face and locked it. She turned the radio on with the volume as loud as it would go and then slid down to the floor sitting near the door her head in her hands crying.

Outside in the hall her father sat next to the door head in his hands crying. "I'm sorry," he kept repeating even though he knew that she couldn't hear it over the loud music. "I'm so sorry."

99. Trunk

Oh Merlin! Where exactly did her father put it? One more week and she was Hogwarts bound again and she really needed to start packing. She had already misplaced her textbooks…again.

She sighed in frustration and went to his room only to find him leaving it. "Where's my trunk?"

He stepped away from the door and pushed it open to let her in. On his bed was her trunk packed with all her supplies, books included. She felt the sting of tears in her throat. "You didn't have to."

"I know. I wanted to." And then he left the room.

It was a nice and hot summer day, just the way they liked it. Jezzabelle walked across the yard, one hand holding her grandfathers the other a Popsicle that was slowly melting all over her little fingers.

"Watch out Jezz. You're going to make an awful mess," he said laughing as she tried to lick up the dripping mess. "Wouldn't want the plants covered in all that." He stopped and said, "Because one day this will be all yours."

Buzz. Buzz. Sitting up the redhead looked around her room and felt the tears build. Just another dream of the past.

The Last Will and Testament of Mark Jones Antoinette. That's what the man in the suit said he was here about but Jezzabelle was entirely sure what that meant for her.

"I give to my son Andrew James Antoinette my house and half my life savings. To my daughter-in-law Cassie Lee Smith-Antoinette this letter," the man said handing it to her, "a reminder of our time together. Finally, to Jezzabelle Marie Antoinette I give my Greenhouses and the plants within."

"This is a joke right?" Her mother asked.

All the girl could think was that he had kept his promise.

"Dad! Dad!" Jezzabelle ran down the stairs the letter clutched in her little hand. "Dad!"

"In the kitchen Jezz."

Running full speed the little red head jumped up and down, "I got it! You said I would, but I didn't believe you, but here it is!" The letter from Hogwarts had arrived.

"That's great! Honey you hear that, Jezz got her Hogwarts letter," her dad said addressing her mother.

"Lovely," she said without looking up. It didn't ill the joy that was flowing through Jezzabelle in that moment. She was going to Hogwarts. She was actually going to learn magic.

The feast complete and the students dismissed Jezzabelle stifled a yawn. She was extremely sleepy and wanted nothing more than to go to bed. Seventh floor here I come, she thought to herself. If only the Gryffindor Common Room was closer to the Great Hall. Sigh.

She dragged feet up the staircases with the rest of the students who, much like herself, stifled yawns and shuffled along. Before she realized it, they had entered the common room and that feeling of being home increased. The fire looked tempting to sit in front of but she could hear her bed calling.

What did she enjoy about Herbology? She enjoyed the smell of dirt. Jezzabelle looked up from the plant she was working on and at the directions on the board. She also liked how it made her feel like she was accomplishing something. She focused her attention now on the plant and then focused on the board. She also loved how it balanced out how bad she was in all her other classes. Herbology, it was the perfect subject.

"When you're finished you may leave," the Professor called. "Just remember to clean up."
Why would anyone want to leave the class?

"Do you want a chocolate frog Kurumi?"

"I'm allergic to chocolate," said the older lion.

Kurumi was a great friend to have. Jezzabelle was glad she had met the older lion who was kind of like a sister to her. She just couldn't shake the very obvious feeling that she was lying to her again. She remembered asking her when they first met if she wanted one and Kurumi said she was allergic to chocolate but then she said her favorite cookie was chocolate chip. What was the real reason she didn't want a Chocolate Frog? Jezzabelle may never know.

24. House Elf

In the middle of the night when you are all alone, you would have someone to talk to. You would be able to ask someone to make you something to eat while your father as at work instead of having to do it yourself. Even when you are bored you'd have someone to play games with. Someone to clean your messes

Unfortunately, your family didn't have a house elf. So you lie awake alone, cook on your own, leave the games alone, and clean your own mess. Still, would it not be awesome if you had one? Yes, it would.

"You are not a Muggle Jezzabelle," her mother said waving her wand and causing the television to disappear.

"I understand that mum but it's all so interesting," the young red head said. "Plus dad doesn't mind, do you dad?"

Her father looked over his morning Daily Prophet and shook his head, "What the harm? She won't be going to Hogwarts for another two years."

"The harm," her mother said twirling her wand between her fingers, "is that people will think she's muggle born, which she is not."

"And we are not a crazy pureblood family. Let her watch it."

"Fine."

"I told your father that you shouldn't have been allowed to fiddle with these things."

Jezzabelle looked down at the broken music player and felt her eyes sting with tears. She had went to visit her mother of winter break after begging her for months to allow it and now it was becoming a big mess.

"Will you stop crying and act like the pureblood you are."

"And be more like you?" She looked at her mother and stood up. "This was a mistake. I'll owl dad and go home."

"Fine. Go home. I didn't want you here anyway."

"Fine."

"But you need it."

"No I don't."

"It's on your book list."

"So…"

"So you need it."

The eleven year old looked up at her father and gave him the 'are you serious' look. Placing the book back in the pile she began to move away when he picked it up and handed it to her again. "What happened to your copy?"

"Jezzabelle," he said sighing impatiently.

"It became a paperweight. So," she placed the book back in the pile again and walked away, "why waste the money when mine will turn out just the same?"

"Because you need it."

It was the beginning of her third year and all she could think about was relationships. She looked down and felt herself blush at the thought of her being with a guy in any form other than a friend. It would just be…weird. Hand holding. Going on dates. Just the thought made her feel a little older.

"I wonder what it would be like to be kissed." Her words made her cheeks go even redder almost as red as her hair. What a silly thought. She was thirteen. Relationships should be of no concern…not until Kurumi graduated anyway. She promised.

Jezzabelle just celebrated her twenty-fifth birthday and her father had cooked an amazing meal for them. She had just finished her second glass of wine, he his fourth.

"Quidditch?"

"Sure."

He had had gotten into the air before her. Just as she kicked off to meet him, he was falling out of the air towards the ground. She reached for her wand which had been left in the house and she heard the crunch of bones echo up to her.

"Dad!"

Out of the forest came the winged creature…and she could see it.

"Daddy," she sobbed landing next to him.

Whose bright idea was it to mix magic with math? How was Arithmancy even applicable to the real world? Six year of education in the subject still hadn't taught Jezzabelle the answers to these questions.

It's some form of torture, that's what it is. Make people learn a complicated system designating numbers to letters and then add them up to tell you things about yourself. It seemed almost as pointless to her as divination.

Still…she had shown great improvement.

"Your number is wrong Miss Antoinette. You didn't reduce properly."

Sighing she tapped her parchment and started again.

Arithmancy equals ridiculous.
