Hi, I'm back with another fanfic. This is my third FF, but my first songfic. I hope you like it.

We were both young when I first saw you
I close my eyes and the flashback start
I'm standing there
On a balcony to summer air

Today is my coming-of-age party, after being at Hogwarts for seven years. I don't feel like dancing, so I'm just standing on the balcony in the ballroom.

See the lights
See the partys the ballgowns
See you make your way through the crowd and say hello
Little do I know

I see you walked toward me through the crowd. I instantly recognize you as one of my mom's servant's sons. And I do think you're quite cute. You say hello, I say hello, and we end up talking all night.

That you were Romeo
You were throwing pebbles
And my daddy said stay aaway from Juliet

After the party my dad comes in. He finds us just sitting there, talking. I remember his exact words. "Stay away from my daughter."

And I was crying on the staircase
Begging you please don't go

When my dad left, I don't. I sit on the grand stsircase, and cry. I'm thinking that I hope you don't find out I'm the princess, or you might treat me differently.

And I said

I see you a lot in the palace, but every time I do, I hide. You've never seen me, I don't think. My mother tells me that I have to marry soon, and I begin to wonder...

One night I'm sitting in my room and looking out the window. I can see you standing in the garden, alone.

So I sneak out to the garden
To see you

As I stand on the edge of the garden my clothes and hair blow back. You see me and walk over to me. "Alexis?" I nod.

We keep quiet
'cause we're dead if they knew
so close your eyes
enjoy this town for a little while

We know that if we're caught my dad will kill both of us. We sit down silently and I tell you. I tell you everything, that I'm the princess, that I'm a witch, everything. I also tell you my fear, and you promise not to treat me any different. We lock eyes, you lean in slowly, and kiss me.

And my daddy said stay away from Juliet

We spend the next few days visibly together. We are always in eachother's company. Then, one day, my dad walks up to us. He tells us that we're not allowed to see eachother again.

But you were everything to me
I was begging you

I sat in my room the next morning, heartbroken. When I hear a soft knock I open my door. You are standing outsude, with your suitcase sitting beside you.
"Alexis I'm leaving," you say softly.
"No," I say as a tear runs down my cheek.
"I have to," you say. You caress my chin in your hands and stroke my cheek, wiping away the tear. "I'll come back for you, I promise. I'll never leave you."
"Please don't go"
Without another word, you walked away.

"Alexis, you don't need him," my mom said. "He left you, forget him."
"He'll come back," I'll say confidentally. She looked at me likes she doesn't believe me.

I begin to write in my journal every day.

Every day I doubt you even more. When I talk to my mom she can see the hurt in my eyes. One day she tells me that I have to get married.

I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you were ever coming around
My faith in you is fading

Finally, I agree to marry. He's nice and sweet, but I don't feel anything for him. One day I decide to take a walk. I think about you, and about how my faith in you will never fade completely. And I'll never stop loving you. Suddenly, I see someone, and I stop dead in my tracks.

When I meet you on the outskirts of town

I gaso, I can't believe you're here. You stop too, and we stare into eachother's eyes for a long moment. Then you walk toward me.

And I said
"Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone. I've been waiting for you but you never come. Is thins in my head? I don't know what to think."
He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said
"Marry me Juliet you never have to be alone. I love you and that's all I really know. I talked to your dad you'll pick out a white dress. It's a love story baby just say..."

I didn't give him time to finish.

"What have you been up to over the break?" Your girlfriend asks you.
"Dating other girls and plotting your downfall," you joke.

You finally get her to accept your apology and leave. I follow you back up to the common room. When you do your homework I take out my ipod and put in my headphones.

I'm in the room
it's a typical Tuesday night.
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like,
and she'll never, know your story like I do.

We've been best friends since my forst year, and I'm only one year younger than you. We know everything about eachother and the only people you're better friends with are James, Sirius and Peter. Sometimes you leave them during their pranks because you don't want to be involved. At those times you come to my. As I'm thinking and listening to my music, I doodle in my notebook.
Nymphadora Ronks + Remus Lupin

'cuz she wears short skirts
I wear T-shirts
She's cheer captain and
I'm on the bleachers

On Friday I go to the quidditch game. I'm wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans under my robe. While if her skirt was any shorter, it wouldn't be there at all. Of course, she has to cover it up with her quidditch robe. While I'm sitting and watching, she's out there, thinking she's all great being quidditch captain.

Dreamin' about the day

The nest day I'm sitting alone in the common room when you come up to me.
"Want to go for a walk?"
"Is Kara coming?" You smile. "No."

Laughin' on a park bench
Thinkin' to myself, hey isn't this easy.

"So Nymph-" I cut you off, I hate that nickname. "Tonks." You smile again and start over. "Tonks." We haven't hung out in a while, what have you been up to?"
"Well, I've been skiing everyday, it'b been fun you know. I've also become the world champion boxer. And my grandmas been teaching my how to knit; I've knit one quilt every day." I didn't stop, I was on a roll. "And I've been plotting the best way to take over the world. None og my ideas have worked." I frown and you laugh.

that could light up this whole town.
I haven't seen it in a while since she brought you down.
You say you're fine but I know you better than that.
Hey what'cha doing with a girl like that?

"Remus!" We both look over and see Kara running toward us. Your smile instantly fades. When she gets to us she looks sharply at me.
"What are you doing here?" Her icy blue eyes are sharp, and cold.
"I'm his friend," i reply. "And unlike you, I bring joy to people." She glares at me and grabs your hand. You smile at me before following her away. "Remember, quidditch game next week," you call back.

She wears high heels
I wear sneakers.
She's cheer captain
and I'm on the bleachers.

Her shoes go clickety clack through out the school, while mine are just normal tennis shoes that make no noise. I'm excoited for the upcoming game, it's against Slytherin, and will determint the championship. But Everyday I hear her bragging to everyone she can about being captain. Well, at least she doesn't have colorful hair.

Every time she freaks and you need a break, I'm there. Everytime you need comfort or cheering up, I'm there. Every time you need a friend, I'm there. I'll always be there.

driving to my house in the middle of the night.

I'm sitting in the common room, and it's deserted. Suddenly the portrait swings open. Kara comes in and walks through the common room, not forgetting to glare at me as she goes by. I notice tears in her eyes as she walkes up to the girls dormitory and slams the door behind her. Hmm; I didn't know witches could cry. Then I see you come in and walk over to me.
"Hi Tonks," you say tiredly.
"What happened this time?"
"She broke up with me." I gasp, though I'm smiling inwardly.
"You don't need her," I say.
"I know," you say with a small smile. "But it's still hard."
"Just remember something," I tell you.
"What's that?"
"I'll always be here."

We talk into the night. When we bid farewell you leave with a smile on your face. I go to my dormitory and lay in bed, thinking for a long time.

"Tonks," you say one morning, a moneth from your breakup. Tonight we are going to go to Hogsmeade for the last time this year. "I've been thinking, about girls."
