Chapter Two: Ten Years Later: Summer of 1990
It was a warm summer day in London, England. Muggle kids were running around the sidewalk. While ten year old Lily Potter was doing chores for her Death Eater step-mother Rosalie Richardson-Potter. Rosalie was talking on the phone and watching some dumb game show on the television.
Poor Lily was washing the dishes, cleaning Rosalie’s clothes and also cleaning the rest of the huge house.
Lily found out that she was not only a pureblood witch but also a seeinds; she can see the future and also her past. But she knew it for the past six years.
It’s a very rare power. Lily is the first seeinds in about one hundred to two hundred years. It’s unknown how witches and wizards get this power. Lily went up to her room and grabbed a pen and a piece of paper. Lily walked out of her room and turned right to a big black, green and silver door.
Lily opened the big door slowly, it made a squeaky noise, Lily look over her shoulder to make sure Rosalie didn’t hear her. Lily walked up a few stairs and turned around and shut the door slowly and locked it. Lily walked over to the third row of bookshelves in the library. She looked for a book that was made for her.
It was called ‘The lost Secrets of the Seeinds’ by Bathida Bagshot. Lily grabbed it and walked over to the little sitting area and turned on the little green and silver lamp. The whole room lit up. You could see the dark green walls. Lily opened the bookmarked part of the book where she left off the day before.
Lily finished reading the paragraph.
“So that’s why every time I try to lie, the truth just comes out.” Lily said a loud. “I hate that.”
Lily also read another passage in the book;
“I know what it means. Now wonder why nobody really read this book when it came out.” Lily said. “She wrote like a child” She said aloud getting up from the chair and putting the book away.
She got her paper and pen and walked over to the black wood desk and wrote on the paper.
“Lily Rose Potter get you ungrateful butt down her now!” Rosalie yelled angrily. Lily went down the spiral stair case in the house she lived in but never called home. “What would you like?” Lily asked as nicely and calmly as possible. Lily saw two people in the hallway with Rosalie one was a boy with light blonde hair and grey eyes, the same age as her. She had seen this boy once before.
The other man also had light blonde hair but longer than his son’s, he also had grey eyes.
“I’m going to be at the Malfoy Manor for a few hours and Mr.Malfoy has brought his son Draco here to keep you company” Rosalie said putting her hand in her long black curly hair, her dark green eyes glaring at Lily.
“Draco this is Lily Rose Potter” Lucius said looking from Draco to Lily.
“Hi Lily!” Draco said happily.
“Don’t talk to her Draco, she’s not worth it.’ Rosalie said putting her emerald green cloak on and walking out the door.
“Don’t listen to her Lily.” Lucius said feeling sorry for Lily.
“I don’t listen to her anyway.” Lily said smiling at him. Lucius smiled back and closed the door.
“Hi again Lily!” Draco said looking all go, go gaga over her. Lily giggled because of the way his faced looked. They both laughed.
“Wow you’re gorgeous.” Draco said staring at her bright blues eyes she inherited from her grandma Rosetta Alderton.
“Snap out of it Draco.” Lily demanded. Lily pushed him and he hit the hard wood floor with a thud.
“Oh sorry, lets go see what the muggles are up to.”he said getting up from the ground and pulling her arm.
They walked out the door into the bright sunlight. It had to be nearly twenty-six degrees celcius. Lily and Draco walked down the street to the park. A few times Draco tried to hold Lily’s hand.
“Lily,Lily,Lily!” Lily’s best friend Katliyn Rendi said running up to her. “Hey!!” Lily said happily hugging her best friend.
”I see your evil step-mother let you out of the house.”Katliyn said.
“Why are you talking to this muggle?” Draco asked rudely.
“ I am not a muggle.” Katliyn said her brown eyes glaring at him.
“Do you even know what that word means?” Draco asked her.
“Yes I do and you’re a Malfoy. You’re a greaty little farret. “Katliyn said angerly.
“I need to talk to you Lily it’s really important.” She said walking away from Draco with Lily following her.
“Um….Lily I’m moving.” Katliyn said holding back the tears.
“But we’ll see each other at Hogwarts.”Lily said.
“No…I’m sorry I’m moving out of the Country.”she said tearfully.
” But………….no..no you’re my best friend. You can’t.”Lily responded holding back the tears.
Before Katliyn could say anything else Lily ran back to her house crying. Lily got up to her room with red walls and Gryffinsor signs it was the only place in the house that didn’t have Slytherin colors. Lily sat on her bed for what felt like three days and wouldn’t talk to anyone not even Draco. Finnally Lily accepted that Katliyn was gone and not coming back anytime soon.
