First Year |  A Whole New Love (D/Hr) - Sa13+ FanFic Enthusiast
Hellywhooo everyone!! My name is Shirel and this is my second fan fic (my first is called A War of Love) and it is going to be about a Draco/Hermione ship that is taking place during there seventh and final year at Hogwarts. Dumbledore is dead and all that, basically up till now it's all like the books.
The characters are:
Harry, Hermione, Ron, Draco, Ginny, Neville, Luna and possibly more of J.K. Rowling's characters.
If I have any spelling mistakes or I write things that don't make sense, please tell me so that I can, with your help, improve my spelling and vocabulary.
Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own any of the characters. They belong to J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter novels.
And now for the first chapter:
Chapter 1- The beginning of a new year:
"Hey look, there's Malfoy getting kissed goodbye by his mother!" said Ron laughing.
"Oh get a grip Ron!" said Hermione, "I don't understand why he even came back."
"Let me have a look," said Harry moving passed Ron to stair outside the train's window. "He sure dosen't look to happy. Wait 'till I can break all of his bones and crush them to dirt!" he said angrily.
"Don't bother," said Hermione, "You'll just get yourself expelled, anyways he sure doesn't look to happy to be coming back."
"Yah, I bet his mom made him come back." said Ron and at that second the compartment door slid open and a very pretty girl with flaming red hair came in with a bright smile on her face.
"Guess who I just ran in to?" she said while taking a seat next to Harry.
"Who?" they asked.
"Neville and Luna kissing!" She said happily, "They're going out!" She giggled.
"Wow Gin that's terrific!" exclaimed Hermione, "They had it coming."
"Neville and Luna?" Ron just sat there looking dumb, "Out of all people he chose her?"
"Ron! What on earth is your problem? Just because you don't have a girlfriend doesn't mean that the whole world has to feel sorry for you!" Ginny snapped. Ron was silent.
"I think it's great that Neville and Luna are together. I mean Neville's liked her for ages." said Harry suddenly.
"How do you know all this?" Asked Hermione.
"Neville told me." Said Harry a little uncomfortably.
The train gave a little rattle and slowly started to move away from all the waving parents and siblings and as it started to pick up speed the compartment door slid open for the second time to reveal a tall blond haired boy with a pale face, cold gray eyes and was very much more muscular than the last time they had seen him.
"Hello Weasels, Potter and Mudblood! Didn't think you were coming back this year." He sneered. Harry and Ron stood up so fast that Draco took two steps back.
"Scared Malfoy?" sneered Harry. "Surprised you even dared to come back this year and with out your fat freinds, Crabbe and Goyle," he added.
"I'm surprised your not out their looking for the the Dark Lord, Potter!" he said coldly.
"If I didn't feel bad for your poor muscles and good looks, I would have killed you right on the spot!" shot Harry. Malfoy took one last look at him and left slamming the compartment door behind him.
Ron high-fived Harry. "Good one mate!"
"Thanks!" Harry grinned and then hugged Ginny.

Ooops! I forgot to mention that everything up till the 7th book (not including) is the same way except one thing. Harry and Ginny are still together. I hated when he broke up with her, it broke my heart!

Hello everyone! I made a little mistake and I want to make it clear. I said in the begininng of my first post that uptil DH it's all like the books but, the only thing that is diffrent is that Harry and Ginny are still going out (I hated when JKR made Harry brake up with Ginny, it was so sad!).
Chapter 2: ~ Can you laugh or scream any harder?!? ~
The rest of the journey passed mostly in happy talk and jokes. They were all in very high spirits to be returning to Hogwarts but there was something missing. When the train finally slowed to a stop at Hogsmade station everyone took their trunks and pushed their way through the many students trying to get off as well.
"Ginny? Harry? Ron?" Hermione looked around.
"Wer ighte hind oo" he managed to say while being smushed beetween people who were forcing there way off (mostly Slytherins)to. Together they managed to get off and find an empty carriage.
"Firs' years over here!" Called a familiar voice.
"Hey Hagrid!" Harry shouted over all the other shouting. Hagrid turned around smiled widely and waved to them and then turned back to directing the first years towords the black lake where they would be sailing across it to Hogwarts.
Harry, Ron, Ginny and Hermione were soon joined by Neville and Luna in their carriage.
"Neville! Luna! It's so good to see you! It's so nice that you two are together." Said Hermione and Ginny at the same time. They grinned at each other. Everyone laughed as the carriage was lifted into the air by the thestrals.
All during the ride, high over the black lake, they chatted ecxitedly about there summers. All except for Harry who sat near the end side quietly,looking over at the black lake. Hermione noticed this and tried cheering him him up abit by riminding him and telling Neville and Luna about how Harry and Ginny were standing near a lake that wasn't far from the burrow arguing about something and then Ginny was about to slap him but instead she lost balance and fell into the lake while she grabbed him for support and then he fell in with her.
"...it was histericle," said Hermione, "Ron and I were watching from a window. We coulden't believe it, they both fell in together and when they came out, they were sopping wet!"
Her, Ron, Ginny Luna, Neville and even Harry burst into fits of laughter. Even when the carriage landed at the entrance to the castle they were still laughing as hard as ever and then Neville trriped on a suit of armor as they entered the castle and that made there laghter double times worse that they almost rolled onto the floor with laughter. Not to mention the stares and points from the other students for there funny behavior.
When they entered the great hall, the laughter finally came to a stop as Luna went to the Ravenclaw table and Ginny went to join her freinds. Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville took there usual seats at the Gryffindor table and were soon joined by Dean, Seamus, Lavender and Parvati.
Minutes later Hagrid came in with the first years and neatly made them form a line infront if the sorting hat that stood on an old wooden stool.
The sorting passed in silence except for a loud cheer when a student was sorted into their house.
"And last, Luris Patil." Called Proffesor Sprout who was asighned as deputy headmistress since Professor McGonagall was now headmistress of Hogwarts.
Luris walked slowly up to the stool and Proffesor sprout placed the old hat on her head which fell over her eyes.
"Please be in Gryffindor!" Parvati silently, but loud enough for those near her to hear what she was saying, prayed while the hat was placed on her sissters head, "please be in Gryffindor!"
"Ravenclaw!" The hat shouted.
"No!" Parvati banged her fists hard on the table as her sisster jumped up and walked towords the Ravenclaw table to sit next to her sisster.
Seconds later the empty trais on the tables were filled with all kinds of yummy foods and the students imediatley began piling thier plates.
"his is elly oob!" Said Ron through a mouthful of food.
"Sorry Ron, didn't quite catch that," Hermione said. Ron swallowd his food and said, "I said this food is really good!"
"Oh! Next time don't stuff your mouth, Ron!" She said strictly.
They rest of the meal went in loud chatting and gossiping until Professor McGonagall cleared her throat and called for silence. In seconds the babble died down and every face was upon her.
"Good evening and welcome first years and welcome back to the rest of you. I would like to say a couple of things before we go to bed. Firstly, before I begin, I would like each of you to take a minute and think about the poor people who should of been here with us tonight. Albus Dumbledore was a great man, he died in the hope that we will continue things as normally as possible. I am sure each and everyone of you has lost either a family member or relative of yours or even a freind or just someone you have heard of that was killed. I want you to think about all those people who have risked there lives for us to live a normal life or were murdered. All those poor inocent people, I would like you to take a minute right now, and think about it."
Everyones head was down thinking about the people they knew or heard, some people were crying silently and some of the younger students were even laughing.
Hermione thought about all the people she knew of or read in the prophet that were merdured and shed some tears. This war was driving her nuts! "How could Draco Malfoy, supposed-to-be muderer of Professor Dumbledore return here and act like as if he had done nothing rong? What gave him the nerve to come back and face Harry?" She thought angrily.
Slowly everyone rose, some comforting their freinds, and then everyone slowly turned to look back at Profesor McGonagall.
"Secondly," she cleared her throught and wiped her eyes, "I want to warn you that security has been doubled this year and any dark object will be ditected. And thirdly, most importantly, if you see a freind or classmate, or any one at all acting wierd or not themselves lately, notify either me or a teacher imediatly!" She stared hard around the room finally resting on Harry she spoke, "good night to you all!"
The loud clatter of benches and chairs were heard and Harry, Ron and Hemione remained seated.
"She was really strict, wasn't she?" Asked Ron.
"Well she has to be. You can never be to sure who is imperiused and who is a Death Eater." Said Hermione.
"Why did he come back?" Asked Harry suddenly.
"I don't know," replied Hemione, "but we'll have to keep a close eye on him."
"Yah, knowing him," said Ron, "I bet he's trying to lure Harry into a trap."
"Gee thanks Ron!" Said Harry sarcasticly.
"No problem," yawned Ron, "I'm going to bed. You two coming?"
The three of them got up and walked up to Gryffindor house knowing that there four poster bed was waiting, ready to be slept in.

Jen! OMG! I just read your ff "Enemies can be freinds" I loved it! I totally loved it!!! I spent like almost a week reading it with the short time I had. It was just AWSOME!!

^^LOL Mindy! Hello everyone! I am back with another chapter!
Before I gegin I would just like to say I'm really sorry I haven't posted (before I went on vacation) like I said I would. I tried really hard but got stuck with other things. I just want to let you all know that when ever i'm away or when I went on vacation, I miss you all the most!! I guess I just can't stay away...! lol
Well here it is, the chapter you've all been waiting for! Chapter 3: ~"Who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger?" ~
The next morning Hermione awoke with a jerk. She was having a very strange dream that Malfoy was Voldemort and she killed him. He didn't even have a wand; he just let her kill him.
She pushed the covers back and started searching threw her trunk for her robes. She found them and went to take a shower. "Aww that feels so good, I missed these showers," she thought to herself as the hot water splashed on her body. When she was done she dressed and applied some lip-gloss that Ginny gave her on the Hogwarts Express and suggested her to apply some every morning, and she was right, it suited her perfectly. She came down to the common room and saw Harry and Ron waiting for her at the portrait door.
"I'm ready!" She said happily. Ron stared at her. "Are your lips bleeding Hermione?"
"No," she said simply, "Shall we?" And she strode out of the common room, Harry and Ron, thou a little confused, right behind her. They sat at their usual place at the Gryffindor table and filled they're plates with all kinds of food. Down the table Professor McGonagall was handing out their schedules for this year.
"Good morning," Professor McGonagall said handing out their schedules then moved on up the table.
"Great, we have double Potions already on our second day back!" Said Ron angrily.
"And we have it first class to," Hermione said and thought while looking at the rest of her schedule. "Let's go we don't want to be late," she said at last.
The three of them got up and headed toward the dungeons where the Potions class was.
They waited by the classroom door until class would begin, then Snape would unlock the door and let them in. While they waited some Slytherins came, including Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Vincent Crabbe and Goyle (what's his first name?) all laughing and Malfoy holding the mornings "Daily Prophet".
"Are you that bad of a kisser Potter?" said Malfoy.
"What are you talking about Malfoy?" Ron asked.
"Have a look yourself, I found it very amusing," He held out the Paper which Harry snatched and held it so Ron and Hermione could read over his shoulder.
Hermione gasped after she read the article, "how dare they spy on Harry and Ginny and take a picture?!?" At the bottom of the article was a picture of Harry and Ginny kissing and under the picture, Hermione spotted a small paragraph that said: "Potter and Weasley have been going out for quite a while now, but what they don't know is that Potter is cheating on Weasley and going out with that 'Mudblood' Hermione Granger who is very dangerous that one time she brought a muggle object to school that made me almost choke myself to death, says Draco Malfoy who lives in peace with his parents and who is entering his final year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and wizardry." Hermione finished reading and looked up angrily at Malfoy.
Harry Ron and Hermione (for the first time in her life, fighting in the corridor) took out they're wands and pointed them at Malfoy who did the same along with Crabbe and Goyle and pointed them straight at Harry, Ron and Hermione.
Before Hermione knew what she was doing she screamed at Malfoy, "How dare you call me a Mudblood!" Stupefy! She aimed a curse straight at Malfoy, Who blocked it effortlessly.
"You have to do better than that to fight me Mudblood." And all the Slytherins laughed.
Harry and Ron made to aim curses at Malfoy but Hermione stopped them, "I need to do this alone," she said. " Are you sure your feeling okay, Hermione?" Ron asked, "Where's Hermione Granger and what have you done with her?" said Ron sarcasticly which made Hermione nervous. "Yes, I'm perfectly fine," Hermione answered, "It's time he learned his lesson once and for all. Expelliarmus!" She shouted. Malfoy wasn't quick enough, his wand flew straight into the air right into Hermione’s outstretched hand. There was a burst of applause and cheers from the Gryffindors. It felt great to have finally beaten Malfoy on her own. Then a voice rang out threw the corridor. She turned around and all the happiness drained out of her at once. Professor McGonagall, looking very strict was standing in the middle of the hall looking straight down at Hermione looking very disappointed. Hermione’s smile was quickly replaced by a worried look as she handed Malfoy back his wand.
"Out of all people you, Miss Granger choose to start a fight with your classmate? I am very disappointed in you, I expected a little more from you Miss Granger," said Professor McGonagall. Hermione stared blankly at the floor suppressing her tears. "Professor Alexwinaya was not able to teach today. I was notified several minutes ago and I at least expected you to act your age." Professor McGonagall continued.
"Professor I-" started Malfoy.
"Excuse me Mr. Malfoy but I believe that you and Miss Granger are unable to control yourselves the way seventh years are supposed to act so you will come with me. The rest of you have the hour off until your next lesson."
Everyone headed of to their common room, the Slytherins towards their common room, somewhere deep in the dungeons and the Gryffindoors up the stairs to the tower. They all walked away silently, some whispering to their friends.
Professor McGonagall lead the way towards her office while Hermione and Malfoy followed.
In her office she seated herself in front of the desk and motioned for Hermione and Malfoy to sit behind the desk, facing her.
"I am very upset about this. I would like to put a stop to this. There shall be no more grudges between the Gryffindors and the Slytherins after this year. Your punishment is to share a 'House' together. That means sharing a common room together and just living together. You will share your common room for the rest of the year."
Hermione and Malfoy looked up at her as if she was going mad.
"Professor that's impossible! A whole year?!?" Malfoy said angrily. Hermione didn't say anything. Somehow she felt she deserved it, she shouldn’t have started a fight with Malfoy in the first place and now she was going to suffer the consequences.
"One day you will thank me Mr. Malfoy," Professor McGonagall said.
"I will never thank you for putting me with this Mudblood," he gave Hermione a dirty look.
"That will do Mr. Malfoy," she said angrily, "I will be seeing both of you two tonight by the Great Hall with your trunks. You may go."
