First offbefore I start rambling about cool things, we need to set some rules, because I like rulesand breaking them.

1) Do not expect me to write soppy entries about boys.

So now,let me ramble. Firstly, Happy New Year. Secondly, I'm not good at this diary stuff. Thirdly, I still dislike calling you 'diary'... how about I call youno, I give up. I'll think of a name later. Fourthly, I'm a little hungry right now, I could do with a chocolate frog. Fifthly... I should do some study. Dad's been on my back about preparing for NEWT's. I haven't even had my OWL's yet!!!!!!URGHHHH.

Speaking of study, I like potions lots. It's super easyso long as people don't get in the way and drop their hair into your cauldron. But History of Magic is boring, which sucks. Who cares about Goblin Rebellions? and... old stuff? Though, that Harry Potter dude was cool, I wish I had a scar like his. Maybe I could MAKE a scar? That'd be cool. But I already have a cool scar anyway. Note to self: from this point forward I don't like the word cool.. it's so uncool.

Dear Finnick,

I'm still not used to having you... so, sorry if I'm neglecting you or something. Can we still be friends?as if you have a choice.
I saw the strangest thing yesterday. I was down by the lake during lunch time and I thought the squid might like some breadbecause I hate bread and wanted to get rid of mine so there I was, sitting on the grass, throwing chunks of the stuff into the water. When all of a sudden!!!! ... the bread disappeared. It was PLUCKED down from the surface. But it wasn't the squid. I'd have seen it if it was.

Now, you're probably thinking it was a duck or something. But I promise you, it wasn't. I spent a good half hour STARING into the water, and NOTHING! Tell me? Is there such a thing as an invisible water dwelling creature? Like... a ghost-fish? Or something? Do merpeople wear invisibility cloaks? It was just soooo weird!

Maybe I should go find out.

I'm sure the librarian would know something, otherwise I could always ask my CoMC Proffy.

So.. the librarian wasn't helpful AT ALLshe hates me?, apparently it was my imagination, that or the bread frosted and sunk. But ice FLOATS! Especially if it's that small. It's not like the bread was the size of a Hufflepuff or anythingsurely they would sink, right? RIGHT?! So yeah, boring lady thinks I'm stupid. But I'm not... I'm a CLAW, so the jokes on her. Perhaps she could do with a wit-sharpening potion?If she had any wit to sharpen in the first place.

Remember Finnick! If you tell Mrs Silly Librarian my secret thoughts I will burn you!

So where was I?

Anyway, after looking through a million books (this is an exaggeration), and finding nothing, I decided to go down to the lake again. The water wasn't icy to begin with anyway, so why would the bread be icy? It's RIDICULOUS! I threw some bread in and watched super closely. They disappeared again, but I still couldn't see anything. BUT!... I've formed some epictheories.

1) It IS the Squid and he sucks the bread down somehow!
2) It's the Merpeople and they suck the bread down somehow!
3) It's STILL the Merpeople, but they fish the bread down with a fishing line-- cause you can't see the nylon string, durr.
4) IT'S MAGIC BREAD!like the muffin man!
5) ... I suspect the nargles.

So Finnick... I think I have some more exploring and experimenting to do. I'm tempted to see the Headmaster and request an excavationy thingy of the lake! How wikid would that be?!

Anyway, I have thinking and preparing to do.

Dear Finnick,

No, I haven't forgotten about youmuch. I've been preoccupied with lake exploration and studies and classes and quidditch and... stuff. You're probably wondering what I discovered down at the lake, and in all honesty... it wasn't much. After coercing a young lion into helping me, I discovered it wasn't the squid... he was elsewhere at the time of the next bread-in-lake-testing.

Naturally I thought it might have been the merpeople, because they're PEOPLE like us, I'm a PERSON. But as it turns out they don't eat bread. So.. it's not them?

Working my way through my list of epicideas, the next theory was that the BREAD was magiccause that'd be awesome, right?!. But after doing a number of bread-in-non-lake-water I discovered that it's just normal breadpossibly made with love... or house elf saliva. So my final conclusion, which I cannot test forwell I haven't figured out HOW to, yet, is that... it was the nargles! Pesky little nargley things wasting my precious time and distracting me from blowing things up.

Anyway. It wasn't a COMPLETE waste of time. I've learnt many things on this tripjourney.

1) I'm epicresourceful.
2) Gryffindor's will do anything for food.
3) That the librarian knows nothing about nargles.

What will be our next adventure Finnick? perhaps I should have TAKEN you with me to the lake?? oh wellllll.

The Apocalypse is here!

I imagine this is what Voldemort was like at the height of his power. Not that he could match my favourite super hero of all time. Potter-head.

My mission for today is to hide. I'm currently under my bed, but this won't do. I'll need to move to a more secure location. Unfortunately the Library is no longer my sanctuary... and I'm sure the brooms cupboard will be occupied. Ew. Where do I go? What do I do?! ... maybe I can scale the roof or something. Find myself a nice spire with a good view to cling to until the sun rises. And hope no 'couples' think to do the same Having said that, if someone were to find me. I'd likely get expelled. And that'd be the cherry on my nightmare cake, complete with spiders legs frosting.

Ok, there HAS to be somewhere for me to hide.

Maybe my trunk? Nobody would look for me there, right?

How are you? I see you're looking a little dusty, and a little flat. Perhaps I ought to brush you off and turn your pages once in a while. Sound good? I hope so, otherwise you'd be just as independent as I am - and that's not a bad thing...

So. I haven't been doing much. Studying, completing homework assignments and the like. But guess what? I'm staying with mum and dad over the summer. You know, something a bit different. Turns out they're in Praha again.. you know, Prague. So... that's where I'll be. OH! and I'm taking you too.. so you won't miss out on my misadventures.

Anyways, finals aren't TOO far away. So I should hit the books again..

Ahoj Finnick!

Je to už nějaký čas. I'm loving Praha... it's the same as I remember. The káva is amazing, and it feels so good to be back. Like I belong here. Mum and Dad have been out, working, so I haven't seen much of them which is good or bad, depending on the perspective. Mum says she has a lot of planning to do for the coming term, I don't see why she can't do her work from home though? I mean, how many teachers stay at school during the holidays? Dad, well... he's protecting the world from darkness... he has a legitimate excuse for not being here...

My room hasn't changed. It needs a bit of a makeover actually.. so I'm thinking of going down to a hardware store thing, and buying paint. A bit of elbow grease never hurt anyone, and certainly not me.

What do you think? A nice rudý feature wall?

Anyways, I best be getting on.

It's done. I did it. My room, is red, and two shades of grey. It sounds weird, but it looks pretty good. Went to the warehouse district the other night, found some plaster boards in the skip bins, used them to line my shelves and doors. It's got that industrial edge to it now. Mum hasn't seen it, she'll freak when she does. It's not FEMININE or PROPER. I don't care...

I don't know why I decided to use you, Finnick. You take up time, and I don't trust you to record and hold the significant details in my life.

I might just give up on you. Might, because I'm not a quiter, but I want to quit you.

Christmas in St. Petersberg? Should I be surprised that we've moved again?... Technically speaking - even though he haven't LEFT Prague. Thank Merlin's dirty underpants on that one!

I'd rather be back there though OR at school, I liked it there. But dad's busy with work and said something about not being able to stay with him. Of course he'll be joining us tonight.. or tomorrow... whenever he gets here. It's just not the same.

Mum and I are being civil, it's been nice. On the other hand I fear I've lost my voice as I haven't used it in two days or so. Funny what being civil can do to you.

Finnick... YOU are my voice now. Only for now, literally. I'm done.
