This is my first SSRPG FF, but not my first FF. My other's have gone inactive/been deleted and with the quality of the writing, I decided to re-write/scrap them. But now I am coming to follow the life of my DP character: Abigail Mason. The chapters will have no sequential order and will explore various parts of Abigail's life. Expect to see appearance by her brother and sister: Allison and Alexander. They'll be there a whole lot because they're triplets and always stick together. So without further adieu...

The Crazy Life of Abigail Mason

TWINS?!

Abi sat in the waiting room at St. Mungo’s. It had been four months since she learned that she was pregnant. It had been four months since her boyfriend (who shall forever and always remain nameless) left her after hearing the news. That was in the past. Today Abigail was going to focus on the good things in life. The fact that Ali had been there for her at a moment’s notice, the fact that Alex even offered to leave the Quidditch tour to help her (which she would never allow), the fact that Stef seemed to be doing all right, and the fact that today was the day she was finally going to find out whether she was having a boy or a girl made this day a good one.

Abigail looked up as the nurse came in. She looked back down at her book as she realized she had come there for someone else. She looked to her left and saw Allison, thumbing through the latest fashion magazine, dog-earing pages here and there. She then looked to her right and saw Alex, staring aimlessly at the ceiling and trying not to fall asleep.

“Thank you so much for being here. I just don’t think I would’ve been able to do this by myself.”

Allison shut the fashion magazine and Alex sat up straight.

“Wouldn’t be anywhere else right now Sis.”

“Ditto. Besides, I’m missing quidditch practice for this, which totally makes my day.”

Abi chuckled and lightly punched Alex in the arm. He was so lazy sometimes. Yet he was still her brother and she loved him all the same. The nurse walked out again and all three of the triplet’s heads turned to look at the older woman.

“Abigail Mason.”

Abi let out a sigh. “That’s me.”

The older woman smiled. “Right this way dearie.” She looked at the two sitting on either side. “You two can come as well if you’d like.”

And like they had planned it, Alex and Ali got up at the same time, both offering their arms to Abigail to help her get up. Abi smiled and lifted herself up. Well, here goes nothing.

Abigail looked over at the doctor, whose eyes were on the Muggle Ultra Sound machine. It was her choice to use it. She just felt safer that way.

“What’s the verdict doc?” Alex asked nonchalantly. Leave it to Alex to treat this like it was no big deal.

“Well, right there you can see her beating heart.”

“Her? It’s a girl?” Abigail was so happy that tears started to come to her eyes.

“Yes. And the other little beating heart right there belongs to girl as well.”

Now it was time for the triplet’s jaws to drop.

“Other? So you’re saying…” Allison started.

“That I’m having twins?!” Abigail finished.

“Yes. Happy, healthy twin baby girls.”

Abigail was so happy and shocked. She couldn’t believe that she was having twins! This day just got better and better.

Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff
Hogwarts

Abigail donned the last of her blue & silver and gold & black ensemble. It was the championship quidditch match: Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff. This meant that Abi’s house was going for the quidditch cup and that she was going to be able to cheer on both of her siblings. Yep. Ali would be playing her position as seeker for Ravenclaw and Alex would be playing seeker for Hufflepuff. Yep. Both of the other two triplets were seekers. Who would’ve guessed?

Both teams actually took the sibling rivalry as a joke. Huffleclaw games were always the best to watch because the two seekers could never distract the other or fool them. It really made for an interesting game…and aftermath.

Abi quickly pulled up her long hair into a side ponytail. She tied it in place using Huffleclaw colored ribbon. She then grabbed her wand and magiced face paint for Hufflepuff on her right side and for Ravenclaw on her left. She was full out going to support her siblings in the last championship game they would ever play at Hogwarts. Seventh year was really starting to suck. But, Abigail was not going to think about that right now. She had a quidditch game to attend.

“GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ALEX!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ALI!!!”

Yep. Abigail was definitely the loudest spectator. She kept getting dirty looks every time that she used sonorous. She wanted to make sure her brother and sister heard her though. What would be the point if they couldn’t hear her? There would be no point.

Right now, the score was tied: 60 to 60. Abigail watched intently as the quaffle went back and forth between the Ravenclaw players. Just then, it looked like Allison had spotted the snitch because she zoomed down towards the ground. She definitely wasn’t faking because Alexander was right next to her in a matter of seconds. Both triplets had determined looks on their face. Both really wanted to win for their teams. Abigail watched as the snitch shot upwards, quickly followed by Alex. Ali wasn’t so quick. She pulled herself up just as she was about to hit the ground. But it was too late.

Alex raised his arm up high, revealing the little golden snitch between his fingers. He had the biggest grin on his face and Abigail couldn’t help but cheer. She felt bad because her housemates were disappointed in their loss, but she was too happy for her brother to contain herself, especially since it was his dream to play professional quidditch. Now he seemed to be even closer to achieving that dream. Abigail watched as Alex flew around the pitch holding the snitch. She gave him a big thumbs up as he passed her. She would console Allison later.

The Chase
Post Twins

“CAMRYN MARIE MASON!!! Get back here right now!”

Abigail had been chasing the two year old through the house for the past 10 minutes. She glared at Alex who was just sitting there, laughing along with Lillie. He could’ve been helping Abi wrangle the other two year old towards the bathtub, but nope. He had to laugh and make a big joke out of this. And knowing him, he was going to leave using Qudditch practice as an excuse. It was a good excuse, but he used it way too much. It had started to become his excuse for everything that he didn’t want to do. Which was pretty much everything that involved work.

Abigail stopped, completely out of breath. She gave Alex the dirtiest look she could muster, since he was still laughing at her misfortune. It got him to stop.

“I’m gonna put you down Lillie. I think Mommy needs my help.”

He placed the two year old in the chair. Now it was his turn to chase Cammie. He had an easier time than Abi had and caught the screaming two year old almost immediately.

“Thank you Alex,” Abi said with a sigh.

“No problem, Sis.” He smiled as he handed Cammie over.

It's shorter than the others...but still.

You Are Not Cheating…
Hogwarts

Abigail and Allison sat at the Ravenclaw table, going over their notes for Charms. Yes it was a Saturday, but it was raining and they had nothing else to do. There were no quidditch matches and it wasn’t a Hogsmeade weekend. So the fifteen year olds were stuck sitting inside, working on their homework like the studious little Ravenclaws they were.

“That’s what I got too. Why do we have so much Charms work?!” Ali asked setting down her parchment.

“I have a simple fix to that.” Abi and Ali turned around to face their lazy brother Alex.

“And what would that be?” Abi asked taking in the fact that her brother was soaked.

"I don’t do it and copy one of you two.” He said sitting down with a smirk.

“See, that doesn’t work because we have to do the work. And since when do you copy off of us?” Both of the girls looked at him expectantly.

“That spell Accio has really come in handy.” The girls scowled at him as he smirked. “What?”

“Alex! How do you expect to pass exams if you keep doing that?!” Yes. Abigail was going to be the voice of reason here. Her brother’s laziness really needed to stop. And soon. There was no way he was going to pass OWLs if he stopped doing his homework.

He just shrugged his shoulders and then put his arms around hers. Getting Abigail all wet.

“Come on Sis: you know I really don’t care about OWLs. I always have quidditch.”

Abigail pushed him off of her and rolled her eyes. It was always like Alex to think like this. She knew he was good, but no one knew if he would play professionally. It was a one in a million chance and she just didn’t know how probable it was.

“Well…I’m going to be putting Charms on my homework so it can’t be stolen anymore. What about you Ali?”

“I think I’m going to do the same thing.” The girls shared a smirk as Alex’s face fell.

“Come on.”

“You are NOT cheating off of us anymore Alex.”

With that, the two girls got up, taking their work with them. They both knew they’d let Alex cheat eventually. They just wanted to teach him a lesson.

Interview Fiasco
Post Twins

Abigail looked in the mirror. Her hair was perfect. Her make-up was perfect. Everything was perfect for her interview at the Daily Prophet. It was the first interview she’d been on since before the girls were born. She was finally going to be able to take care of her family, without having to live off of her sister Allison for the rest of her life.

She was pulled out her thoughts by the sound of a crying toddler. She let out a sigh and exited the bathroom on the way to the nursery. Abi smiled as she picked up the crying Lillie. She gently bounced her to get her to stop, while little Cammie stayed asleep. The greatness of having twins that could sleep through anything. Abigail took Lillie out of the room, just in case Cammie started to stir. She looked at the clock. Allison was supposed to be here by now. Her shoot should have been done with over an hour ago.

“Where are you Ali…”

She continued to bounce the two year old as she waited for Allison to get there. As time passed, Abi put Lillie in the playpen in the living room because now it was Cammie’s turn to wake up. Once she comforted and changed the other twin, she placed her in the playpen. As her cell phone began to ring, she ran into the kitchen to answer it. Abi was so glad to see that it was Ali calling.

“Allison! Where are you?! I have that interview in ten minutes!” She really was starting to panic now.

“I’m sorry. I got stuck at this shoot. I’m not going to be done for another hour or so.” Abigail rubbed her forehead. “I’m sorry Sis.”

“It’s all right. I’ll talk to you later. Bye.”

Abigail hung up the phone and let out a sigh. She was going to miss her interview. Alex was supposed to be at Quidditch practice and there was no one else she could call to watch the girls. She went and got a piece of parchment and started to write a letter to the people at the Prophet. Just then, her doorbell rang. She let out an exasperated sigh and went to answer it. Abigail grinned at the face of her brother Alex.

“Alex? I thought you had practice?”

“Allison called me. Told me you needed someone to watch the girls. I told the coach and he said it was all right.”

Abigail embraced her brother without even saying a word.

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

“You’re welcome. But can you let go? I think you need me alive to watch the girls.”

Abigail released her brother, the biggest grin on her face.

“Now get going. You’re going to be late for your interview.”

Abigail hugged Alex one last time before apparating to her interview. She made it just in time…and owed Alexander so much for this.

Total Utter Heartbreak
Post Hogwarts, Pre-Twins

Abigail couldn’t believe it. Her and Allison had been planning for the baby already. She just could not believe that she was pregnant. She had always planned to spend the rest of her life with Travis and this just made it even more real.

Abi put the finishing touches on the dinner she had been making to occupy her time. Travis was due home soon and she couldn’t wait to tell him the news. She heard the pop of someone apparating and smiled at her boyfriend as he walked into the kitchen, wrapping her in a warm embrace.

“Hey babe. What’s with the dinner?”

She smiled as she planted a kiss on his lips. “What? I’m not allowed to cook?” She asked teasingly.

He chuckled and went to put up his suit jacket. She put the finishing touches on the dinner and laid it out on the table. Everything was going perfect. They talked about their days – her leaving out the baby thing of course. That was for dessert. Abigail couldn’t remember the last time she was this happy. She sipped her water as Travis drank his beer. It was weird not enjoying a glass of wine with her dinner but it was best for her in her current situation. As she set a piece of cake in front of Travis, she couldn’t help but grin wider. He must have noticed because he set down his fork.

“Are you all right? You’re not drinking your daily glass of wine and I haven’t seen you smile so much in all of the time I’ve known you.”

She let out a sigh. This was it. The moment she was to tell them they were going to have a baby and start a family.

“Travis. You know how we always talked about getting married and starting a family some day?”

“Yes…”

“Well…that day may be coming sooner than we expected.” She grinned wildly. She was bursting with excitement.

“What do you mean?” Travis asked nervously.

“Travis…I’m pregnant.”

Abigail was practically bouncing in her chair with excitement. Travis was just staring at her, not saying a word. She started to frown slightly. Why wasn’t he excited?

“Travis…what’s wrong honey? Aren’t you excited?”

He still didn’t say anything. He just pushed himself away from the table.

“I need some air.”

Travis walked out the back door. Abi watched as he just stood out on the porch staring out over the backyard. She didn’t know what had gone wrong. They’d always talked about having a family. She thought he would be happy.

Abigail didn’t want to think about it so she started to clear the table. She didn’t use magic because she needed to keep herself busy. She charmed the dish washing stuff to clean them before she turned towards the stairs. Abi gave Travis one last look before she went up to get ready for bed. She knew that he’d be up there soon enough and they would be able to talk about what happened.

Abigail crawled into bed and waited up for Travis. By the time it reached 2 AM, she knew she should go check on him. She walked down the stairs and towards the backyard. He wasn’t on the porch. She opened the door and looked outside.

“Travis?”

Abigail looked around. He wasn’t outside. She searched the living room and finally the kitchen. He didn’t seem to be anywhere. Then she spotted a piece of parchment on the counter. She picked up the note that was written in Travis’ scrawled handwriting. She let out a sob as she read it over and over again. She just couldn’t believe he would just leave like that. Her heart was broken in a million pieces. She didn’t even register that she’d picked up her phone to call Ali.

Abigail was just standing in the kitchen when Alex and Ali walked into the kitchen. Neither one said a word. They both embraced their sister in a giant hug. They were always going to be there for her. Always.

We burn down the house…almost
Pre-Hogwarts

“Come back here Awi & Abi!”

Alex screamed after one of his sisters. Abi and Ali were running around their yard, trying to avoid him. Alex was it! He should have known they wouldn’t make catching them easy. They never did.

“That would make the game pointless Awex!” Allison called back to her brother.

The five year old triplets were running around the backyard. Their mother had sent them out there while she cooked their dinner. All of a sudden, Alex seemed to be gaining on the two girls. So Allison being the rule breaker she was, ran into the house for safety. Abigail followed suit, the slightest bit reluctant. She knew their mother would be mad. But she did not want to be it.

They ran through the kitchen and were glad to see that their mother wasn’t there. They didn’t notice that the stove was still on and just kept running. Alex was hot on their tail though. He ran into the kitchen. Unfortunately, he tripped on the rug and fell towards the stove. He caught the towel that happened to be lying on the counter and pulled it to the ground as he fell. This caused vegetable oil to spill onto the flame.

It immediately caused the flame to grow. In turn, this caused the curtains on the kitchen window to catch on fire. The five year olds looked at each other in terror. They never meant to burn their house down. They liked their house.

“Get water! Quick!” Abi shouted.

Allison quickly ran and did as she was told, grabbing the biggest pitcher she could and filling it all the way to the top. She tottered over and tried to throw the water on the flame. It didn’t go high enough and the fire started to spread. Then, their mother ran into the room, hastily pulling out her wand.

“Aguamenti!”

The spout of water erupted from her wand and eventually put the flames out. She let out a sigh of relief and eyed her children.

“This is exactly why I told you to play outside.” None of the triplets said anything. The woman let out a sigh and looked at her children. “Are you all right?”

Interrupted Studies
Hogwarts

Abigail pushed a piece of hair behind her ear as she studied alone in the Hogwarts library. Allison was sick so she didn’t have her study buddy to help her. Alex was off who knows where probably in some corridor snogging his latest girlfriend. She hated studying alone. It always helped to have someone to bounce questions and answers off of. Besides, OWLs were very important to her and right now she wasn’t grasping the potions stuff so easily.

“Mind if I join you?”

Abigail looked up to see her crush standing in front of her. Tyler Jameson. He was the Head Boy and a Beater on the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Plus, he was always able to tell her and Allison apart which was a big plus in her book. Not a lot of people could do that.

“Um…sure Ty. Take a seat.”

Abigail smiled at him as he took the chair across from her. This was really the first time that Abi had been alone with him. Usually, Ali was around as well and her and Ty would talk quidditch strategy. It really wasn’t that entertaining.

“So what’re you workin’ on Abi?”

She looked up to see Ty crained over to see what was on her parchment.

“Just studying for my potions OWL. It’s really the only one I’m worried about.”

“I’m sure you’ll do just fine.”

Abi couldn’t help but return the small smile he was giving her.

“So…what brings you to the library?”

She went back to writing so that she had something to distract her from the boy sitting across from her.

“Allison told me I could find you here.” Abigail kept writing. She didn’t want to show how excited she was that he was looking for her. It really made her day. “She’s feeling much better by the way.”

His hand reached across the table and rested on top of the one that held the quill. She stopped writing and looked up into his face.

“You know, Abi. I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend. Take your mind off of your OWLs.” He cracked a slight smile which made her heart flutter.

“Umm- I’d love to Ty.”

Abigail smiled sheepishly back as he got up from the table. As he turned to leave he looked back at her.

“So I’ll meet you in the common room at ten then?”

She nodded her head and watched as he walked away. She could not believe she was going on a date with Tyler Jameson.
