Chapter Five

I saw them smiling at me, telling them they where proud of what I'd done then... Then he showed up he killed them.


“ MOM! DAD!” I awoke with a shriek and sobbing. Immediately my new mum ran in to the room shortly followed by my new dad.


“ What's wrong Callie?” My dad asked picking me up and carrying me downstairs to the couch.


“ I saw him, I saw him kill my parents.” I cried harder in to his shoulder.


“ We'll find him Calypso.. One day we will find Lucius and make him pay, got that?” He said soothingly to me. I nodded my lightning blue eyes meeting his grey ones for a second.


“ Want some hot coco Callie?” My mom then asked. I nodded again and lay my head comfortably on Draco's shoulder. Hermione showed up shortly after that with hot chocolate.


“ Thanks.” I was still crying a little bit.” Can I go shopping with you tomorrow?”


“ Of course.. Unless you want to go to work with Draco.” Hermione smiled at me, sitting next to Draco and I on the couch.


“ I go there to much and his work is boring.” I rolled my eyes dramatically.


“ That's only because you like talking with James and Al when you meet them during shopping.” Draco teased.


“ Well.. Maybe.” I shrugged.” But Teddy is more fun to play with, yesterday he looked just like a miniature you it was funny.”


“ Oh no.. We have a bad influence on that kid.” Hermione laughed.


“ And then he changed his appearance to someone named Dumbledore.” I added after a moment of thought. Both Hermione and Draco cracked up at this.


“ What's so funny?” I wondered aloud.


“ Dumbledore was the headmaster of Hogwarts. He uh.. Well at least as long as I knew him he had a long beard.” Hermione managed to say through her laughter.


“ Yep.. That's what Teddy had.” I looked at them confused. This just made them laugh harder.” Want me to get the picture to see what he looked like?” Not waiting for a answer I jumped up and ran off to my room and grabbed my photo album then ran back downstairs.” Here it is!” I produced the picture of a 5 ½ year old with long grey hair and a beard. We where were all laughing for the rest of the night. Draco left for work somewhere around 6am. Hermione and I set off shopping at 8am sharp. Today was going to be fun at Diagon Alley...

Chapter Six

I skipped off to the Quidditch shop hoping to check out the new broom. GoldenFlash II was just set up only minutes ago by the look of it. The shop was open for only reserved special customers. Quickly I dashed up to the door and started talking rapidly to the man there.“ Er hi.. I was wondering when the store would be open for the rest of the people? I mean I just wanted to uh.. Do you know how much the GoldenFlash II is? When will um. It be available for people to buy?” I burst out. Quidditch was my obsession.


“ It'll be open in a few hours, around 2:00 pm.” The assistant laughed.” It's roughly 1000 galleons my boss really hasn't quite decided how much. It'll be available for come in customers to buy in a week, ” For some reason the guy looked really familiar but I know I've never met him before, that's really odd.” Reserved Special customers are able to buy it now I believe.”


“ Oh thanks! Thanks a lot, that was really helpful.” I smiled at him, truthfully it was helpful, most of the time I say that I'm being unbearably sarcastic, I hope he doesn't think I'm being sarcastic. That wouldn't go over well.


“ No problem, if you don't mind me asking, what's your last name miss?” YAY! He didn't think that I was being a little idiot. And telling him my name wouldn't do any harm. At least I don't think so. What harm could a name do, it's not like I'm some sort of mass murderer or something of the sort. I've hardly even harmed someone with magic. See! I'm innocent I only physically hurt people, and verbally! Not with magic. Er. Right never mind.


“ Scarlatina Black.” I flashed him another smile. He was a really nice guy, and kinda cute. I wonder why he has job here.. He could be doing much more better stuff.. Er.. I have bad grammar in my thoughts. If my mum knew I think I'd be dead. She'd totally flip out on me and almost kill me because of that. Silly mum.


“ B-Black?!” He choked. What is wrong with him? I thought Black was a fairly common surname, maybe not in the wizarding world though. But still!


“ Erm. Yea?” I turned to face him again.


“ Come on in miss, is there anything I can do for you? Please come on in.” His sudden change of mood surprised me.


“ U-Okay.. Thanks.” I followed him inside suspicious.


“ Sir! There's a Miss Black here.” Strange assistant dude called.


“ What! Oh no! Welcome to my shop, anything I can do for you?” The shop keeper walked over after quickly excusing himself from talking with another customer.


“ Please, don't trouble yourself with me.. It's nothing, I just came here to look at the GoldenFlash II.” I stuttered amazed and confused.


“ Ah.. The GoldenFlash II, a fine specimen of all broomsticks.. Not even ordered by the Quidditch teams yet.. You of course would want it.” The shop keeper sounded rather nervous.


“ I.. I don't have any money though.” This was getting a little creepy.” My father Regulus Black died not long after I was born.. I didn't think he left me any money.” The shop keeper and his assistant just stared at me.


“ Well.. Uh.” The man wiped his sweaty forehead.” Here you go, is there anything else I can get for you Miss Black?”


“ No thank you, I'll just look around and uh.. Let you know if I have anything else I want.” I quickly dodged this man and sneaked my way to the back of the store where there was a young lady not much older then I, she had long brown hair with warm brown eyes. She was holding the hand of a eleven year old girl with lightning blue eyes that freaked me out and dark brown hair. I started looking at the shelves of Quidditch books.


“ Is that a GoldenFlash II?!” The girl burst out surprised.” That's a legend broom, it's supposed to have a really fast accelerator, the breaks supposedly work smoothly.” She stopped looking rather embarrassed, she did seem to know quite a bit about the broom.


“ Er.. Yea.” I responded.


“ Callie! That's impolite silly, sorry about her.” The older woman scolded slightly then gave me a apologetic smile.


“ It's no problem, I'd do that even at my age.” I laughed happy that someone else shared my interest in brooms. Even if it was a eleven year old.


“ MUM! IT'S JAMES AND ALBUS AND TEDDY! Teddy yay!!!” The girl named Callie shrieked. Mum? The woman didn't look old enough to be that girls mother. She only looked ten years older, adoption maybe? I certainly hope it is.


“ Calypso Granger-Malfoy! That was really rude of you. I wish you would stop doing that!” The woman sounded rather irritated, a one year old and a two year old approached with a red haired woman and a black haired guy. There was also a five year old boy with bright.. PINK HAIR?!


“ Callie! I thought you'd be with your dad today!” The five year old with the bright pink hair cheered several times in glee.


“ Hey Hermione, how's Draco doing?” The black haired man with green eyes asked.. Draco's a odd name, and so is Hermione. But then again, Scarlatina is also a really weird name. What's up with weird names in the wizarding world I wonder.


“ Eh.. Left for work at some ungodly hour, so I wouldn't know. Then Calypso and I went shopping at a certainly much better time, we only got here like half an hour ago.” Ah so that was the woman's name, Hermione.


“ DAD LOOK ITSA GOLDYFASH II!” The two year old yelled tugging on the black haired guys arm with his hand not holding on to the stick. I laughed kindheartedly that toddler was a cute sight.


“ Oh sorry about my son James, Ginny Potter by the way.” The red haired woman gave me a nervous smile.


“ Scarlatina Black.” I shook her hand, smiling as I did so. I like these people already, there really polite and there kids love Quidditch, I think it a crime to dislike Quidditch. I resisted a sudden laugh as I thought that, never looked at it that way before.


“ Black?!?” Ginny, Hermione and Ginny's husband I would presume all echoed. I really want to know what is up with my surname and why people are freaking out about it. It's not like there kings or queens.. I mean there are no wizarding royalty, at least as far as I know. I don't even want to be royalty.


“ Er yea.. My dad was Regulus Black, so I presume that makes me a Black.. And uh.. Is there a reason the shop keeper was about worshiping me?” I did not need more people fawning over me. But these people did not look like they would, good thing. I'd totally kill them if they did.


“ Reg-.. I'm Harry Potter, the Black family is a really rich and ancient line pureblood. My godfather was Sirius Black. Your dad's older brother.” Harry... Potter, is there some reason I think his name is familiar? I dunno.. OH DUH! He's the one that killed Voldy-caldy.. Er. What's his name.. Voldycourt? Moldycourt? Gah! I can't remember. But I take that thing back about killing them.


“ Oh! Your Harry Potter the man that killed Voldycourt, or whatever the idiots name was.. Pleasure to meet you.” I did my best to remember the evil persons name, I don't believe I got it right because Ginny was fighting down a grin and laughter.” I don't know his name do I?” I decided to laugh the mistake away But still! I got the thing wrong.


“ Moldywart! It Moldywart.” James prodded his mothers leg glaring indignantly at us adults, fresh outbreaks of laughter began.” I kill Moldywart.. Abracadabra!” James hit me with a stick of his and began dancing around the shop yelling Abracadabra.


“ I think that muggle shows are a bad influence for the poor little mite.” Hermione watched the two year old travel around majestically waving his arms as if he was defeating dark wizards.” Right, nice seeing you Harry, Ginny. And nice meeting you Scarlatina. But I've got to drop Callie of with Draco.” She waved took the eleven year old girls hand and left...

Chapter Seven


Calypso Granger-Malfoy looked at the train with distaste, she was upset to
have to leave her happy family.” Mummy, why aren't you and Daddy married?” She suddenly turned around to face Draco and Hermione who were standing behind her. Hermione laughed slightly and tousled Calypso's hair playfully.” Mo-om. This isn't funny. Why aren't you and dad married?”


“ I'm not laughing because I thought it was funny Callie. It's because you looked so cute when you said it ah-Never mind you'll understand when your older. Come on let's get you on the train.” Hermione chuckled silently to herself and lead Calypso to the train. Draco was fighting down a grin as they approached it's sleek massive maroon carriages.” And I'm not going to get married till after Lucius is dealt with dear.”


“ And THEN you'll marry dad?” Calypso asked looking hopeful, several people turned to look in surprise because of how loud Calypso had said it.” I mean, after Lucius is dead-a-fied or in prison or whatever you will marry Draco?” She said in a stage whisper. Draco was having a rather hard time not grinning or laughing at Hermione's expression, then he noticed Pansy Parkinson was making her way over towards them.


“ Callie honey.” Draco squatted down so he was her height.” Hermione doesn't think of me in that way, okay? We aren't going to get married.” Calypso's face fell and signs of tears started to appear on her face as her eyes became more damp.” Don't cry, be a strong girl for daddy. You'll have tons of fun at Hogwarts, don't forget to make friends and enjoy yourself, no matter what house your in I'm sure you'll like it.”


“ Okay, you didn't tell me to behave.” Any sign of Calypso almost crying disappeared in a flash.” So, does that mean I don't have to? Just kidding daddy, I'll behave and do all that other important stuff you told me to.” She wrapped her arms around Draco tightly. Neither of them noticed Pansy had arrived.” I am going to miss you a lot dad, you and mom. Take good care of her or else.” Calypso's eyes narrowed then she started to laugh with a odd sniffle here and there.


“ Kay, I'll take care of Hermione as long as you take care of yourself.” Draco finally let a grin break out on his face. He then noticed Pansy and Hermione were having some sort of glare battle.” Ahem.” He cleared his throat loudly, both women turned in surprise to face him.” Hey Pansy, what are you doing here? I thought you graduated Hogwarts already.”


“ Er, well I did.. I just, I came with Blaise who was coming to see his half sister see her boyfriend see his younger brother off. Well I mean, I came with Blaise, his half sister, her boyfriend and his sisters boyfriend's younger brother.” Pansy sounded a little flustered.” Ah never mind.. I never knew you and Hermione were married or that you.. Adopted a kid.” She didn't seem to making quite a good impression on Calypso and Draco didn't seem to want to stop her.


“ Draco and I aren't married.” Hermione stated dryly, Pansy nodded and muttered a apology for jumping to conclusions.” Right, well I've got to go to work. Take care Calypso be a good girl, behave and study hard.” Hermione hugged the eleven year old, smiled at Draco then left. Calypso eye's were darting back and forth between Draco and Pansy rather fast.


“ Da-ad!” This was a clear sign that Calypso was getting either annoyed, excited or interested in something, Draco looked at her slightly confused.” Is Pansy your girlfriend?” She asked in such a sweet innocent way it was unbearable, Draco started to laugh.” Well is she she?” Calypso seemed put out that he was laughing and not responding.


“ I dated her a couple times in school, now get on the train and go already!” Draco pushed a confused Calypso onto the Hogwarts Express.


*** The Express


Well, this is it. Were almost at Hogwarts. I thought to myself with a slight sigh. The captain announced that we would be there in less then five minutes. Fortunately I had been wearing my robes for the whole trip and I had the compartment all to myself. Next thing I knew someone poked there head in I was surprised and slightly annoyed.” Hi, sorry to disturb you but can I sit here?” She had dark brown hair and lightning blue eyes that were really pretty, first year at that also. Her tie wasn't colored.


“ Uh. Yea sure come on in.” I hope she hadn't noticed my staring, I turned back to watching outside the window and Puddin's feathers got in my eyes. Yet again. A comfortable silence settled between the timid first year and I, all was well. Hopefully she didn't try and start up a random conversation that was pointless. I hated pointless, I mean it's just. Pointless! Next thing I knew someone else entered, fortunately for me I knew this girl.


“ Hey Mickey.” Zoe Angela Swift sat down next to me swinging her long blonde hair out of her face.” Aw, thanks for watching Pum'kin and Puddin' for me! Your so swee- Er hi.” Obviously Zoe just noticed the first year.” I mean, hiya! I'm Zoe Angela Swift, please call me Zoe or Angela or Angie, but not any two together, this is Mickey. I mean Michael Creed. Don't call him Mickey for your own good, I've died far to many times.” The first year looked up and Zoe almost gasped at her blue eyes.


“ Hi.” Firstie muttered.” I'm.. I'm Calypso, nice to meet you.” She looked down and began reading what ever book was in her lap again. Wow.. She was definitely not a talker, or maybe she was just really really shy. Zoe, who I have no idea how I put up with looked a like a bucket of ice cold water was dumped on her I noticed, she was dripping wet. This didn't register to me till she pushed her hair out of her face again and water splashed me in the face.


“ Z! What in the-What happened?” I almost shrieked in surprise, Calypso's head shot up and she looked worried.” Woah, sorry about that. I just panicked, uh yea sorry. Zoe Angela Swift what in the world happened to you?” I muttered using her full name. Zoe stared at me for a good two minutes for deciding to open that silly little mouth of hers and talk. Now I doubt that she'll ever stop talking, strange girl.


“ We-ell. I going to the bathroom then I bumped into Parker and we had a chat then Parker called me a name a-and so then I chased him and then he went outside and then I followed him but I got locked out and it's pouring out there a-and then! Finally someone helped me out of there.” Zoe looked at me quizzically for some reason.” Also Parker isn't very up to date you know.. He said that Lucius Malfoy you know that mass murderer guy right Mickey? Well anyways he apparently only just killed the two muggles yesterday, Granger I think. I laughed at him and told him that yesterday he murdered Philip Morgue.”


“ Lucius Malfoy killed more muggles?” Calypso looked up her eyes were flitting through with signs of horror, hate, fear, anger and many other things I couldn't recognize. Zoe nodded turning to face Calypso.” THAT DAMN WIZARD I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!” Her sudden outburst shocked both Zoe and I.” Uh, sorry about that, um.. I think were at Hogwarts.” She glanced outside.” Train's slowing down.” And with that she left. This was going to be one interesting year. I'm sure of it, and this is only my first few hours in to my second year and I can already tell...

Chapter Eight-(Michael Creed's PoV)-

I watched as all the first years lined up, the one that was the most interesting was the girl, Calypso. I had been thinking about her outburst ever since we arrived at Hogwarts, I paid little attention to the carriages pulled by bony horses with wings, Zoe said they were Thestrals. There was something about Calypso that made her different then the rest of the students in her year, and I couldn't quite figure it out. She was confident yet worried at the same time I could see it plainly etched on her face. Finally Headmistress McGonagall walked over to the sorting hat with a long roll of paper, the sorting was about to officially begin.


“ Abner, Hilde!” Was the first to be called, a bouncy short girl with rosy cheeks ran up to the sorting hat and promptly put it on, Abner was a Hufflepuff, politely I clapped.” Brocade, Adabas!” A pale, freaked out boy was sorted in to Ravenclaw.” Build, Joanne!” Another Ravenclaw, the sorting wasn't rather interesting.” Creed, Alice.” I was never told my cousin was going to Hogwarts, she said Beaxbatons was were she was going. Alice was a Slytherin, hm, never really liked her. There were a few more C's but still no Gryffindor's most of us were getting anxious.” Dayton, Simon!”


The hat was silent for a bit, obviously pondering were to put the boy. I kept my fingers crossed hoping for our first Gryffindor.” GRYFFINDOR!” The hat shouted. Everyone at my table burst in to clapping the boy was shocked to receive such a greeting. There was another D but I didn't pay much attention that one, I was wondering what Calypso's last name was, she never mentioned it. There were twin Figmuns. Benjamin was sorted in to Hufflepuff, and Jacques was the second Gryffindor. Again our table clapped loudly.


“ Granger-Malfoy, Calypso!” McGonagall next called. I was shocked, Calypso was a Malfoy! But then why did she hate Lucius? A lot of people were staring at the blue eyed girl as she walked to the sorting hat, timidly she placed it on her head. She was there as it thought about were to put her. Zoe was hastily muttering incoherent words in to my ear. More like hissing them actually, I was surprised that I was actually interested in this girl so much. I normally kept to myself and was interested in nothing, for some reason I wanted her to be a Gryffindor.


***Not at Hogwarts.


“ Draco.” Hermione said suddenly, the addressee looked up.” Draco, what house to you think that Calypso is going to be in? Not that I really care, I was just wondering which one.” She had already put down the book she was reading to watch him for any reaction. Draco was silent as he mulled over which one she would be.” I knew it! You didn't know either.” Hermione smirked and returned to her book happily. Draco eyed her warily.


“ I never said I didn't know which one she was going to be in. I was just thinking about which one she was going to be in. Ravenclaw probably, she's smart like you, speaking of which. Why weren't you put in Ravenclaw?” Draco countered, Hermione almost dropped her book in surprise, she stared at Draco for a few moments not quite knowing what to say.” You don't even know why you were put in Gryffindor?” Draco shook his head in disbelief.


“ Oh shut up, I was put in Gryffindor because I was braver then you.” Hermione snapped picking her book back up.” S-sorry, I over reacted.. I don't normally like talking about, well, why I wasn't put in Ravenclaw and in Gryffindor.” She sighed leaning back in to the couch comfortably. Draco nodded in acceptance, deciding not to push it. Then he also resumed reading.


***Zabini Estates. (the day before)


“ Really Elise, did you have to bring Andrew, and did he have to bring his brother and did he have to bring his best friend?” Blaise sighed staring at his sister in amazement.” I was hoping on having some personal time with Pansy you know.” Elise started giggling as Pansy blushed crimson.” I mean, never mind. I don't really have time for this.”


“ I brought Andrew because he's my boyfriend and I'm living here, Michael wasn't allowed to stay home alone and Zoe was staying or playing with Michael, don't over react Blaise. Andy and I will be in my room and the kids can play out side.” Elise punched her older brother playfully then headed out of the door. Suddenly the door was burst open and laughter echoed through out the house.


“ Oh.. Sorry didn't mean to intrude, come on Mickey let's go outside.” A tall blonde girl giggled when she saw Blaise, for some reason Blaise thought she looked slightly familiar.” Right-o let's go-Hey wait aren't you Pansy Parkinson?” She asked looking at Pansy who was sitting on a couch, Pansy nodded suspicious slightly.” AWESOME! Your my role model!” Blonde shouted.


“ Uh.. Zoe let's go outside. Please.” Mickey or Michael looked like he was about to die of embarrassment. Pansy had started to laugh.” Seriously Z, what ever possessed you to say such a thing?” Michael shook his head in amazement after they arrived outside.” I sure hope that she's not your role model, I've heard really freaky things about her. And plus what would it do the family name, Being a giggling maniac obsessing girl? I mean your a Swift! Your second cousin is a famous singer.”


“ Ooh. Your just jealous that I won't be obsessing over you Mickey aren't you.” Zoe giggled again, Michael rolled his eyes in annoyance.” I wonder why you even bother to talk or put up with me, I mean I'm a absolute idiot, annoying and your like some sort of worshiped genius.” Zoe had a strange way of changing the subject and her mood Michael noticed.” What ever. HEY LOOK A SWING SET! I love swings.” And with that they were both swinging happily. Or semi-happy..


***Back at Hogwarts current time. Calypso Granger-Malfoy's PoV


“ Ah, Granger-Malfoy.. But.. Not Granger-Malfoy. I have not seen one of your kind for a long, long time.” The hat thought slyly, I was utterly confused as to what it was talking about.” You show the qualities of a Gryffindor, yet your courage seems to falter sometimes. No, no, not a Gryffindor. But your wisdom will shine beyond anything with the powers you posses, a good Ravenclaw, yet that's not your place. You don't have the heart of a Hufflepuff, you are kind, but not in that way. Yet your cunning like a Slytherin, but not exactly Slytherin.”


“ I don't want to be in Slytherin, I don't care if my daddy was one, I don't want to be Slytherin! Lucius is one.” I whispered scared, I would rather drop out of Hogwarts then be a Slytherin, plus I'm a muggleborn despite what people think.” I want to be Gryffindor. Make me Gryffindor.” I demanded, the hat was almost laughing at me for this. It said/thought something about showing my true Gryffindor side. I again was bemused.


“ Well if you demand it Miss Granger-Malfoy.” I was on thin ice and I knew it, maybe I misunderstood it but.” GRYFFINDOR!” YES! YES! I was so happy I almost shouted, yet my happiness didn't show on my face I almost ripped the stupid hat off my head and bounded for the Gryffindor table, I couldn't believe how lucky was, somehow I found myself sitting next to Michael Creed, from the train. I wondered how I ended up next to him.


“ Congratulations on joining Gryffindor, Miss Granger-Malfoy.” A girl with a silvery sheet of long blonde hair smiled warmly at me.” I'm a prefect, Gabrielle Delacour, pleasure to meet you. I believe I have met your mother.” Mother?! She met-Oh yea, Hermione. How could she have met Hermione? Weird person.” Hermione Granger is it not? Her best friends Ronald Weasley and Ginny Weasley oldest brother married my sister Fleur.” Weasley! But Ginny's Potter not Weasley, at least now.


“ Oh. That's, that's charming. But Hermione's only my adopted parent, my real ones are dead.” I said bluntly, deciding that maybe she wasn't someone to be friends with, ha! I didn't want friends despite what I told my dad. I noticed that Michael was watching me, oh great.” Er, hey Zoe, Michael.” I decided to talk with them because Zoe looked ready to burst with holding words and other things, her expression now was like Christmas came early.


“ Hiya Calypso! I never knew you were a Malfoy, why do you hate Lucius Malfoy so much? Isn't he like some sort of grandfather to you or something? I mean, sometimes people hate each other even when there family, but not normally. How can you be a Malfoy if your mom's Hermione Granger? Did she marry.. Uh, what's his name! Oh yea, did she marry Draco Malfoy?!” Zoe said in one breath, speed talking as usual. Calypso just stared at her in shock at how someone could think that much or say that much that fast.


“ Shut up the both of you ladies.” This directed at Zoe and Gabrielle I could tell, fortunately not me.“ Welcome to Gryffindor Calypso, I hope you enjoy it. And you don't have to answer a single question that Zoe asks, because all she can do is ask questions.” Michael rolled his eyes at Zoe who glared at him.” Also, if you've heard things like that Gryffindor's automatically hate Slytherin's.. It's so not true. I have a friend in that house.”


(and now the romance REALLY starts, well in the next chapter kinda. I originally intended to this to be about D/Hr but I changed my mind)

Wow! I finished this chapter pretty quick so I'm putting it up now

Chapter Nine

Dear Diary

I have been attending Hogwarts School For Young Witches & Wizards, Hogwarts or HSFYWW for short, for the past four years. Over the whole time I have become friends with three girls and three guys, pretty amazing huh? Out of all those hundreds of students I chose the most boring, just kidding.


First friend-Michael Creed, I've been developing a crush on him as the years go by. Not that I'm gonna tell him any time soon. Hey! Where did my Gryffindor bravery go? Oh wait, never had any. That makes me wonder why I'm in Gryffindor?


Second friend-Simon Dayton, pretty sweet guy, there's this awesome picture of us somewhere at some point of time on my dresser. Yep that's me for ya! Actually it was the summer after Simon and mines first year we where in the US! Ton's of fun. Even got to go see the American's version of Football. I totally didn't understand a single thing that happened but Simon did. Simon is like the brother I never had. And he was the first Gryffindor of my year! No seriously he was. No one believes me.


Third friend-Jacob Zyre, no I'm not doing this in order of importance. He's Slytherin, I know shocking. But when I was bored and looking for friends Mickey (or Michael) recommended this guy. I know that sounds weird but Michael was busy (no like REALLY busy). Jake is really sweet, and not your typical Slytherin. He's a year older then me so starting his fifth year like Michael. Jake and Mickey have been friends for as long as they can remember. And when they start thinking you better run. Such bad pranksters, well there good at prankstering, it's the pranks that are intended for you, you have to look out for.


Fourth friend-Zoe Swift, now we are on to the girls. Zoe is your normal gossiper and love's up to date fashion. Travels all around the world normally during the summer. But I convinced her to visit me for the summer, I think she has a crush on Jacob. We (my other girl friends and I) will have a girl's night and discuss this. WOAH! I'm scaring myself now. Oh, did I mention that Zoe is somehow related to that awesome Country singer Taylor Swift? I got Taylor Swift's autograph from Zoe for Christmas, it was rather amusing.


Fifth friend-Valentine Pint, I've got a pint of Valentine is a song Mickey, Jake and I came up with after we met her. She slaps the boys, see she likes me, every time they hum/sing/whistle it. Val is really neat, she's a know it all, kinda like my mom, this is one strange Ravenclaw friend I've got here. She's rather crazy in the head. But that comes from taking extra lessons with our Divination teacher, Professor Lovegood. Actually Professor Lovegood is now Lovegood-Longbottom. She said that we can call her Professor LL, because we already have a Longbottom.


Sixth friend-Gabrielle Delacour. I totally blame being interested in romance novels on her. Mickey didn't talk to me for a whole month after I started reading them. He said reading them is a bad habit, I finally stopped reading them in front of him. And keep them well hidden away from prying eyes. Or at least try to. Val stumbled upon my stash of them and then tried to read them.

*** The day after students get home


Draco arrived home early wanting to see his adopted daughter Calypso. She had gotten home the day before yet work swamped him down so he hadn't been able to talk or see her. Hermione was sitting on the love seat reading a book.” Hey Draco, Callie's upstairs and-” There was a sudden loud screech that cut off Hermione.” She has some friends over, so don't be surprised. You don't mind on checking on them do you? I'm rather tired.” Draco smiled at his pregnant wife, kissed her lightly then headed up the stairs.


“ Ow! You will be defeated princeling.”


“ Not until you surrender to Prince Dayton evil beast!


“ Hey guys I think I found another love song.”


“ Simon if Mickey drops me you have to catch me.”


Draco was surprised at what he saw in the room. The first person to talk was a tall dark skinned man holding Calypso who was screeching and laughing at the same time. The second was another male, he had blondish brown hair and a foam sword that he was whacking the person holding Calypso. The third person to speak was a girl with long silvery blonde hair that looked familiar she was in front of a radio playing strange music. The last to speak was Calypso.


“ Hey girls! I found the source of the smell.” A boy with shoulder length dark brown hair popped out from under the bed holding a dead rat. The radio girl shrieked then scrambled up on to the top bunk with another blonde girl. Calypso then started to freak out.” Hey! It's dead, calm down.” This only made the girls scream more.” Okay seriously! I'll deal with it just calm do-” He stopped seeing Draco standing in the doorway.


“ What?” Calypso turned her head to look at the doorway.” DADDY!” She yelled jumping out of Michael's arms and bounding to Draco hugging him tightly.” It's good to see again, er.. These are my friends. Simon, Michael, Jake, Gabrielle and Zoe. Valentine will be here later today.” Calypso smiled pointing at each person in turn.” Now we have to continue playing Damsel in Distress, see you at dinner!” And with that Calypso almost dragged Draco out of the room then shut the door laughing.


“ Your dad's weird.” Draco heard Zoe say as he was going downstairs.” No I mean like weiiiird weird.” She continued on. Calypso was now laughing but suddenly stopped seeing the rat she started screaming again to much amusement for everyone in the room, well that is everyone but Calypso who jumped up on Michael again, by doing that she knocked him in to Jake who 'by mistake' dropped the rat in to her face.

***Girls Night (Cassie's PoV)

“ I'm fifteen and I'm getting a boyfriend this year.” Was the first announcement that Zoe made, the boys had still yet to leave the room. Jake and I started to laugh not being able to help it, though for different reasons.” You lot get on out.. We are having a girls night. You go do something else.” As soon as Zoe said 'girls night' the boys scrambled out of the room fighting over who would get out first.” Glad to know we have that effect on them.”-Zoe

“ Yea, it'll make life so much easier.”-Calypso

“ Was that sarcasm Callie?”-Valentine

“ Really not sure Val.”-Zoe

“ I bet it was Zo.”-Valentine

“ Are you two back to your two way conversation about someone who's sitting with you?” I asked with a slight role of my eyes. Zoe nodded as she giggled a little bit.” And I wasn't sure if that was sarcasm it was just the first thing to pop in to my head. So, Val still have that crush on that weird guy?” I smirked and ducked Valentine's slap. She glared at me.” Just kidding! Your so funny when you do that. Your eye's go big and-” Again she tried to hit me, and this time it worked.-Calypso

“ So not funny. Hey. Been wondering Cal, do you have a crush on Simon or something?”-Valentine

“ Er.. No, he's like my.. Big brother? He's older then me right?”-Calypso

“ Your birthday is in May silly his is in.. Woah! When is his?”-Zoe

“ I think that Simon turns fifteen this November. So he is older.”-Gabrielle

“ Oh, hm. Do you have a crush on anyone Cal? It's so weird, you never do, Val and I do at random times.”-Zoe

“ Your strange Zoe, I might have a crush on someone.”-Calypso

“ Is it Jake?”-Gabrielle

“ No! Wouldn't it be funny if the boys were listening-Calypso

" WOAH! I'd freak!"-Zoe

“ I'd laugh.”-Valentine

“ I'd die.”-Gabrielle

“ That's a interesting reaction Gabby. Though you always did like drama.”-Valentine

“ Oh shut up Val.”-Gabrielle

“ I LOVE drama!”-Zoe

“ You are drama.”-Gabrielle

“ That is so awesome!” -Zoe

“ Only for you.” I laughed, the girls then remembered that I had a crush on someone then started pestering me about who.” Okay! Okay, calm down I'll tell you maniacs.. Well.. Michael.” There reactions were hilarious. Zoe's jaw dropped, Valentine's eyes went all big and strange, Gabrielle fainted, for real. It took us a little bit to revive her.” Gabrielle! You alright? Did you hurt yourself?” I asked, Gabrielle nodded to the first question.-Calypso


“ That's soo romantic and cool! Michael!” She said surprising us all.” Yea I'm all right, didn't hurt myself. But that is so awesome, when are you going to tell him?” I stared at Gabrielle in amazement. She actually expected me to tell Michael I had a crush on him?!” Just kidding, you don't have to. I never do, your face was creepy when I asked that, it was a little funny.” The rest of the night went by with a lot of giggles, laughs, and a few more fainting. Though the fainting was due to overdoses of laughter...-Gabrielle

Chapter Ten


“ Hey.. Wake up princess.” I awoke to Michael's face hovering over mine and almost shrieked but he placed his hand over my mouth.” Come on, get out of bed already.” He laughed quietly, I blinked several times, it wasn't even light yet. I slid back under my covers and slipped on some skinny jeans then grabbed a sweatshirt and popped that over my head following Michael outside, it was a little chilly, so he pulled me closer to him. I'm such a hopeless romantic.” Just wanted to show you the sunrise, it's really pretty.”


My friends had been visiting for the past week and this was probably the strangest thing any had said to me so far.” Oh, yea. I've never watched it before.” I whispered more to myself then him, I placed my head on his shoulder hardly noticing his arm around my waist. We sat there together, silent, watching the sunrise. It was one of the most magnificent things I had ever seen in my life.” Thanks.” I smiled warmly at him after we had been sitting for about an hour together in silence, an hour after the sun rose. He just grinned at me.


“ No problem, everyone deserves to see that.” Michael said looking at me. I sat up straight and yawned.” Okay, let's get you back to sleep.” Before I could protest he lifted me up and carried me right back to my bed, at least I think he did. I fell asleep before we got there, and woke up in my bed, I swear that boys like carrying me around, it's kind of funny. Kind of..” Okay, will you wake up already? Your dad's getting annoyed because you slept in and Jake is threatening to eat your food.” Michael was again, the one to wake me. I shot up and hit his head.


“ Sorry.” I shouted behind me running down the stairs to find, and stop Jacob from eating my food. I saw him sitting on the living room rug, which is where we had been eating, and pounced on his back, to which a scream was his response.” Don't. Touch. My. Food.” I glowered at him, then walked in to the kitchen smirking to get my food, and coffee. Jacob was still staring at me and rubbing my back when I sat down.” Yes?” I asked still smirking.


“ That was.. Your the first person to ever pounce on me. And that HURT!” He glowered at me. I just laughed, I know, I'm cruel.” Hey, Michael. Why did you have to wake her up? I was going to eat her food.. And not get pounced on.” Jacob turned to Michael who had just entered the room, he raised his eyebrows at me about the pouncing part. I feigned innocence, knowing it wouldn't work. It might have several years ago, but.. Yea.


“ Oh quit your whining Jacob. Grow up already.” I punched his arm lightly, he glared at me again.” So, thanks daddy for the meal. I really enjoyed it.” I hugged him then went skipping back in to my room, almost running in to Simon who was on his way down the stairs.” Oops, sorry Sim. Foods good, make sure that Jacob doesn't steal yours, if he causes trouble I'll pounce on him again.” I said to him quickly before continuing upstairs. Simon just stared at me suspicious before going downstairs.


“ Hi Calypso girl, what's up?” Valentine waved at me.” Do I even want to know where you went at some god-forsaken time in the morning with one of the boys?” She asked yawning and jumping off the bunk-bed.” Hey wake up Z, you've been sleeping in recently.” Val then whacked Zoe with her pillow. She turned back to me, waiting for a answer. I immediately regretted coming back upstairs. This certainly was funny though.

Chapter Eleven


It's near the end of summer and I'm at the beach with my buddies, Michael Creed, Simon Dayton, Jacob Zyre, Valentine Pint, Zoe Swift and Gabrielle Delacour. We are having the time of our lives, except for the fact that I.. Just insulted Jacob's house, Slytherin. Here's exactly what I said.” Most of the Slytherins are jerks.” I laughed next thing I knew Jake picked me up and threatened to drop me hard.” LET GO OF ME IDIOT!” I shouted at him, he clearly didn't, the big meanie! See, I knew it, Slytherins are by definition jerks.


“ Let me down you great big oaf!” I shrieked in anger. Yet held on tightly to Jacob who continued to glare at me.” T'isn't funny now put me down before you get us killed or something of that sort.” I resorted to hitting his back, but it didn't work obviously. He refused to put me back down. Valentine watched from the shore, from safety, and laughed at us two teenagers, to anyone that didn't us they would have probably thought Jacob and I were dating, ugh!” I'll count to three and if you don't put me on the ground I'll call Michael!”


“ Your not going anywhere till you take back what you said about Slytherins. Most of my house members aren't jerks or evil, take it back or else.” Jacob threatened me in return much to my annoyance. He didn't mind that I'd call Michael, probably because there like the best of friends.” Are you ready to apologize?” I shook my head furiously, standing by what I said, well mentally standing by what I said. I couldn't exactly do that when I was being squeezed near to death by a hundred and forty pound idiot.


“ Jake.” Michael showed up, now I was worried, I wasn't sure who he'd side with, me or Jacob.” She said most, and it's true. Most doesn't mean all the girls who fawn over you.” I almost laughed at this as Jacob glared at Michael.” Now stop torturing the poor girl.” I would have said thank you but Michael grabbed me and started to spin me around.” That's my job.” He added. MICHAEL IS SUCH A JERK! Haha, but he's cute at times also.” What's with the huge grin Calypso?” I wasn't going to tell him what I was thinking, not just yet.


*** A few weeks later.


I got through the barrier to platform 9 ¾, and the other girls followed me. The boys had been about here like twenty minutes. So we had to find them, the first I noticed was Jake. He was on the top of the train, doing flips and handstands, showing off for the girls. Zoe narrowed her eyes at a couple of the girls cheering him on. I looked around for Simon and Michael, they had to be somewhere. Aha! Simon was standing with his younger sister talking with her, she looked annoyed with him, as usual. And there was Mickey. Ugh, he was snogging his current girlfriend Jasmine Crystal Moore a.k.a J.C, Slytherin princess and a total jerk.


“ I'm sure Michael will come around someday Callie.” Valentine patted my back in a slightly reassuring way. I half laughed, glaring at J.C. We hated each other, though Michael didn't know, she was very careful to be extra nice to me when he was around.” Alright, let's round up our heard then send of Jake and Mickey to the prefects compartment.” I was amazed that they actually managed to get the prefect title, with all the trouble they caused. Nodding I headed off to get Simon, not wanting to have to deal with J.C drama this early in the morning, crap! She was headed right towards me, on purpose! The stupid prat!


“ Hey mudblood.. How the hell did you get my boyfriend to stay with you during the summer?” Jasmine's sidekick Elsa Avery showed up behind her. I hated those two girls with passion.” Look here, stay away from Michael. He's mine mudblood, and I don't want your type of scum messing up his brain.. Stay away from him or else.. Well, I'll find out I don't need Mike no more, and bye bye goes all your dreams.” I so wanted to slap her right now! How dare she, how could she say that?! Mickey and I have been friends ever since my first year! She didn't get to know him till like, last year! What the heck.


“ Hi Callie.” Michael showed up, stopping my retort to the little stuck up Slytherin girl.” I'll see you two later, got to get to the prefect compartment.” He kissed Jasmine again then disappeared. J.C and I glared at each other for a little bit, not saying anything. I was stuck with a decision and I knew it, lose Michael to Jasmine, or lose him to death. I took a deep ragged breath, knowing that she was expecting a answer. Even though she knew which I would say, she just wanted to see me admit to defeat. I really, really want to kill her.


“ Fine, I'll stay away from Michael..” I threw Jasmine one last loathing look then turned away and headed back to Simon.” Let's go get on the train. It's going to leave soon and we need our own compartment.” I muttered looking away from him, not wanting Simon to see my tears. It was to late though, he did. Fortunately he knew better then to question me, at least right here. There was a uncomfortable silence between us as we found a place to sit.


“ So, want to talk about it.. Or is this one of those things you need a girl for?” Simon asked several minutes after the train started, we were waiting for the rest of our group, he was also handing me some chocolate. I have to say, he's the sweetest of all the boys. He gets me chocolate, knowing it's a girl thing. I shrugged, not sure what it classified as.” Okay.. Well, if you need to talk, I'm around.” He said hugging me, I hugged him back, glad that I knew someone like him. Suddenly someone cleared there throat. I looked up, letting go of Simon.” Oh, hey Michael.”


I almost greeted him also, but remembered what Jasmine said, and refrained from speaking.” Uh, hey Simon, Calypso.” Michael sat down looking out the window, leaving us three in a uncomfortable silence. After a little bit Valentine, Zoe and Gabrielle showed up. They started chatter immediately, saving me from weirdness. Kind of, I could feel Michael's eyes boring in to my skull as if to find out what was wrong with me. I decided to stare out the window, ignoring Michael completely, something that obviously.. Was noticed.


“ Hey.. Something wrong Calypso?” Valentine asked, she was sitting on my right, and Simon was on my left. I was sitting directly across from Michael unfortunately. Turning towards Val slightly I shook my head, knowing full well that no one believed me. And now everyone was watching me, with a roll of my eyes I watched the fields rolling by as the train gained more speed as the time went by.” O-okay. Not that I believe that.” She glanced at me again, I hated it sometimes when my friends worried about me. I knew it was good that they did, but it got on my nerves sometimes.


“ Look, the food trolley's here.” Michael said suddenly a little while later. I looked up, I loooved the food cart.” You want anything Callie?” He turned to me, I felt tempted to say yes, but I just shook my head, again. That probably just upped everyone's suspicion of me, greaat. Have I mentioned how much I hate J.C? Well I do, speaking of the devil.” Hey Jazz, come on in.” Michael smiled warmly at her as she knocked on the compartment, Jasmine seated herself on Mickey's lap, smirking victoriously at me.” You sure you don't want anything Calypso?”


“ No. I'm fine. Gosh.” I glared Michael, oh, how slick! I just got them even MORE suspicious. I turned to talk with Simon, angry at Michael.” So, what were you talking about with your sister earlier? She looked annoyed, oh wait that didn't have to do with S.A.I.C did it?” I laughed slightly, remembering Simon's and mine two person club. He nodded, I laughed harder. Basically everyone else looked clueless, good thing too, if Jacob knew.. I'd be dead.” We dropped that ages ago. It lasted for like, two minutes then Peyton showed up and eventually told your sister, and tried to kill us for it. Ah, what good memories from our time of insolence as first years.”


“ Yep.. Peyton was hilarious. Remember when she found us talking about S.A.I.C a few weeks later, she like started shooting random spells at us. Wasn't the first protego? That.. That was, that was perfect. And she did it right in the middle of were Filch was trying to walk. Good thing we have fast legs.” Simon joined in my laughter, S.A.I.C, Slytherins Are Idiots Club, was Simon's and mine's weirdest invention, ever. But the best also. Michael was back to staring at me again, it was awkward. I was on the verge of just walking out not saying anything. Finally I did, I just stood up and left not saying anything. Tears started to leave my eyes as I fell against a wall.


“ Calypso.” NO! NO! NO! Michael put a hand on my shoulder and I closed my eyes, scared. What was he doing here.” Calypso, what's wrong. And don't tell me nothing is, this isn't like you at all.. You don't cry randomly.” I refused to look at him, knowing if I did I'd just cry harder, I didn't want to loose Mickey, but Jasmine gave me no choice. Telling Michael that I won't be his friend anymore was going to be near impossible. Make that basically impossible now, he had just pulled me in to a hug. I hated myself as the words began forming in my mind. I was scared for Michael, I was scared for myself. I was.. Scared, I was as scared as much as I had been when I was kidnapped by Lucius.


“ If anything's wrong with me it's non of your business.” I pulled away from Michael and started to walk away but he caught my arm and turned me to face him. My blue eyes met his own deep brown ones. I couldn't make myself tear my gaze from him. Everything felt so right, to be here with him holding me. Michael watched me confused, staring back in to my eyes. Trying to find out what was wrong with me, I'd never acted like this before. I just couldn't bring myself to say what I had to say, I didn't even want to say them. It also occurred to me just how close I was to Michael, our foreheads were almost touching.


“ Callie, it is my business. I'm your friend.” Michael's tone was cold and serious.” Now, what is wrong with you?” He repeated, I took a deep breath frightened, he'd never sounded like this before, wait.. Once, when some Slytherin was trying to beat me up. I didn't answer, not knowing what to say. Finally I looked away from him, but not for long. Michael took my head in his hands and forced me to face him. It was really weird.” Calypso, what's wrong? You've never acted like this before. Did I do something, did someone else do something?” His tone was full of worry, again. I hate worry, especially from Michael. It's kind of creepy.


“ Look.. We aren't friends, we can't be friends, we won't be friends. Just leave me alone.” I said it, I can't believe I said it, I lost my first ever friend, because.. Because I loved him, that made NO sense. Someone please help me now! I saw the look of pain on Michael's face, he knew I wasn't joking, I wouldn't kid around with things as serious as this. I swear if I wanted to I could lean over and kiss him, I was tempted to. But it would make the whole situation worse.” We just can't, know each other. I find no reason to, hang around with you.” I continued with out even meaning to. And then the temptation overwhelmed me I leaned in and kissed Michael, before walking away.


I finally found another empty compartment and cried myself to sleep in it. Not waking up till I felt someone shaking me slightly.” Wha-What?!” I snapped sitting up, I noticed it was Simon.” Oh sorry Sim, really sorry. Didn't know it was you. Are we there yet?” I asked worried. Simon nodded, accepting my apology, then helped me up. We had to run and jump to get off the train in time, I hugged him.” Thank you.” I grinned then we made our way and barely caught the last carriage.” So, what happened after I left?” I asked after a few moments of silence. Simon looked like he was thinking this over, obviously something had happened.


“ Well everyone's reactions to you leaving were a little dramatic, Mickey totally freaked thinking he did something and ran after you. Jasmine was furious with him for doing that and then stormed out. Gabrielle started screeching at the top of her lungs, we found out later she saw a mouse. Jacob almost fell out of the window trying to do some weird trick,showing off for Zoe obviously, I don't get why they won't tell each other why they won't tell each other they like each other. Valentine thought she said something wrong and started crying hysterically. And I was clueless.” Simon said, I almost laughed at Jasmine's reaction, it sounded so.. Her!” Also I was being pestered about what S.A.I.C is, didn't work out quite so well.”


“ Typical Jacob, all he does is show off. So right after I left.. He started showing off?! Weirdo.” I did laugh, finally the carriage arrived at Hogwarts. And we got to get in, I saw that Michael was sitting with Zoe and Gabrielle near the front of the Gryffindor table. Jacob, Jasmine and Elsa were at the Slytherin table and Valentine was with her Ravenclaw friends.” Let's sit at this end, I.. I'm not currently on the best of terms with Michael.” I muttered sitting down at the opposite end, Simon said nothing and sat down next to me, I briefly met Michael's gaze then looked down at my plate trying not to cry. I was so glad I didn't...
