I heard someone shout as as I ran to my normal hiding place. A door slammed and my uncle shouted something, a spell. I wondered if someone had come to rescue me. I hoped so.

I heard arguing then silence. I heard my uncle say something that I couldn't make out.

My name was Penelope Lestrange. I was ten years old - eleven the next day - and I have eyes that are bright, emerald green and long, red, straight hair. I have a very small scar on my temple that is shaped like a star.

My mother was Bellatrix Lestrange. I looked nothing like her or my father. They are the most horrid people I knew. But... I really didn't know many people. The only others I knew were the Malfoys - Draco, Narcissa and Lucius. I'm sad to say I lived with them, the second most horrid people I knew.

A tall, skinny old man with long, white hair and a beard to match walked through my bedroom door and bent down to look under my bed where I was hiding.

He looked at me and smiled warmly but sadly. "Hello, Penelope."

"Hello, sir. I'm afraid I don't know who you are." I said as I slowly moved farther under my bed, closer to the wall.

"My name is Professor Dumbledore." he said as I heard my aunt shout the cruciatus curse. She wouldn't curse my uncle, so who else was there? "Come out please. I'm not going to hurt you," he sighed. For some reason, I believed him, because I moved out from under the bed and used it as leverage to pull myself to my feet. "Please hold tight to my arm."

As I grabbed his arm, he turned on the spot. I felt as if I was being twisted into a small tube. I couldn't breathe.

A split second later, I was gasping for air in front of a little crooked house.

"Did I just apparate? I've never done that. The Malfoy's don't think I'm fit to be seen in public so they have never felt the need for me to apparate, though I haven't either." I said slowly, regretting it as soon as the words flowed from my mouth.

"Well, that is one of the new changes in your life. You will be traveling more than you ever have, but as you said, you have always been 'stuck at the Malfoys', am I correct? Welcome to the Burrow, by the way, Penelope." said Dumbledore, leading me to the front door.

Suddenly, I heard a loud crack and turned around.

There was a tall, shabby-looking man standing behind me. He had scratches across his face. Overall, he looked like a very nice person.

I wondered if I was mental... He didn't look too kind. But, he seemed to have helped me escape. When the man smiled, I understood why I thought he looked like a nice person. He looked much more kind with that smile on his face.

"Penny, we have many subjects to speak about, why don't we go inside." Dumbledore said, walking to the door.

"Um, okay." I said timidly.

He knocked three times and a plump red haired woman answered. "Oh! Hello, Albus. I was expecting you to be longer. Have you told her yet?"

"Not yet, Molly." The shabby yet kind bloke answered.

"Oh! Well, come in!" She said.

"Wait. Tell me what?" I asked. I was so confused. What were they talking about?

Note: This story is awful, I know, It isn't one of my better fan fictions. None of the fan fictions I have written are on here. So, erm, yeah.

Albus Dumbledore walked me into the house and asked me to sit down in a small kitchen. "Penny, I would like to say, again, that we have many subjects to touch on. First, I must ask you a few questions."

"What types of questions? What subjects?" I asked quickly.

"Well, first," he said, sitting down, "I must ask you if you know about the magical world?"

"Yes. But I was told I was a squib."

"But that-" he said, "was a lie." I was to stunned to speak, so he continued. "You are a witch. Now, who is supposedly... your mother?"

"I- supposedly? You mean-she isn't my mother?" I asked, feeling happier then I have ever been.

"Well, I need to know who she is... Hmm... It would have to be Tom's most devoted Death-Eater... That would mean it isn't Narcissa. Would it happen to be Bellatrix Lestrange?"

"Y-yes, sir."

"Now, I must tell you about your life. And a plan. A plan made by Voldemort." he paused.

"V-Voldemort? I don't know who that is."

"Have Narcissa and Lucius ever spoken of... The Dark Lord?" he raised his eyebrows.

"Yes. They are always talking about how they are going to go back to him."

"Well, you see, the Dark Lord is Voldemort. Many are afraid to speak his name. I don't want you to ever be afraid to say a name. Okay, Penny?" I nodded. "Now I will tell you about yourself. Your name is Penelope Lily Potter. Your mother was Lily Evans-Potter. Your father was James Potter. They both died when you were one year old. Voldemort killed them," at this point, tears were running down my face. "You have a brother. His name is Harry James Potter. You were supposed to be a secret when you were born. But Voldemort somehow found out about you. His servants had a plan. They came up with this plan because they knew that if you knew who you were, you and your brother would definately be the death of their master. So the night that Voldemort dissapeared, after he tried to kill you, they kidnapped you out of your house. Bellatrix pretended to be your mother so you wouldn't ask who your mother was. They didn't kill you because they know their master wants to do it himself."

I already respect Albus. And I just met him! Well, I should respect him. He just rescued me.

"Your godfather is standing behind you. Remus, do you have anything to add?"

"No. I don't think I do."

"Um, sir, where am I going to live?"

"Normally, you might live with your godfather. But Harry is living with your aunt and uncle. And I don't believe Remus can always look after you. So, would you like to go live with your brother? I must warn you, though. They aren't nice people."

"Hold up. Why can't I live with my godfather?" I want to meet my brother. And I would love to spend time with him. But I just want to know why I can't live with this Remus.

"Well, I, um. Remus, do you want her to know?"

"Oh, yes. Penny, please come over here." he said. Then he whispered in my ear. "Please don't be scared. But I'm-" he took a deep breath here, "a werewolf."

To his surprise, I threw my arms around him. "Oh, Remus! I'm so sorry!" I've been told what a werewolf is. And I've been told how a person becomes a werewolf. Its just awful. They are so misjudged. I can't stand it. "Of course, I'll go live with Harry. I don't care how awful they are. They can't be worse than the Malfoys. They use the cruciatus curse on me on a daily basis just for their own amusement."

"That's illegal!" Remus shouted. "They should be put in Azkaban! You don't use that curse on anyone!"

Well, apparently, they've been using illegal curses on me... How wonderful.

Note: Yes, I know how short this chapter is. Sorry about that.

"Remus, please calm down. They will be punished. I will make sure of that." Albus said.

"Before you leave, I would like you to meet my children, Penelope. If that's okay." Molly said to me as we headed to the door.

"Of course!" I said, excited to meet new people. If they would accept me, that is.

"Wonderful!" she proceded to yell five names. up the stairs. "GINNY, RONALD, FRED, GEORGE, PERCY! COME MEET PENELOPE!"

"Um, Mrs. Weasley, please call me Penny." I hate my real name.

"I love that name, Penny."

Wow, she must really accept me, to listen to me. The Malfoys always called me Penelope. But now I will only have to deal with one of them. And I will have a wand to defend myself when I do have to see him.

I really want to meet my brother. I've always known the Lestranges weren't my parents. But I just thought they adopted me or something. I didn't know about my brother. I didn't know who my real parents were. I've always wanted to find a really nice family. I need to ask someone about my family sooner or later. Preferably, sooner.

"Remus, can you tell me about my family? I want to know something about my twin brother if I'm going to be living with him. And I never knew my parents."

"I'll tell you anything you want to know. But we must leave soon. So you can write to me and ask me anything you want."

"What about my brother, Harry?"

"Okay, how about I tell you right before we leave?"

"That's fine with me."

"Ginny, boys, this is Penny. She will be going to Hogwarts with you this year." said Molly.

"Hello." I said. I felt really shy at that moment, like they already hated me.

"My name is Forge!"

"Gred here!" I could tell by how they were speaking that they didn't hate or dislike me. I was making progress.

"Hello, Gred and Forge." I said shyly

"Fred, George, must you greet everyone with that?" said the only girl. She looked about a year younger than me. She must be Ginny. "Oh, my name is Ginny, by the way,” 'well, I guess that thought has been proven'.

"Hi, Ginny! I'm Penny Potter!"

"P-P-Potter? You mean... You- Harry Potter's sister?" 'Well, I seem to be accepted'.

"Yes-"

"Wow! I can't believe I'm actually meeting you! And- I can't believe I didn't realize- I mean, your scar is perfectly visible and-!"

"Woah, take a breath, Ginny. I am not my brother. I haven't even met him yet. I didn't even know who I was until today."

"Oh, well, I can't wait for next year, when I get to go to Hogwarts! It's too bad we aren't the same age. Then we would be in the same year."

"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll have some free time." I smiled reassuringly.

I just met this girl and we are already best friends! That's great! I've never had any friends before. Well, I did, but Dobby wasn't allowed around me often.

I've always hated the Malfoys. But now it's deeper than hate. They captured me and treated me worse than they treated Dobby. They pretended to be family. They kept me hidden from the world. I wasn't allowed to have friends. They kept me from the only friend I did have! And someday, I'll get my revenge. I will avenge my parents. And I will do it alongside my brother. We will defeat Voldemort together. I smiled at the thought.

Everyone was staring at me like I was seven shades of crazy. I hoped I hadn't said any of that aloud.

So I meowed.

They looked at me like I was now many more shades of crazy.

"Penny, dear, are you okay?"

"Of course, Mrs. Weasley! Why would something be wrong?"

"Well, you have been staring off into space and laughing maniacally for the past ten minutes."

"Really? It was that long?"

"Yes, well, um, this is Ron, he'll be in your year, and Percy is a fifth year." Mrs. Weasley sounded very proud when she spoke of Percy.

"Hello, Ron, Percy! It's very nice to meet you. I truthfully look forward to going to Hogwarts with all of you! I'm sure we will all become great friends!"
I feel like they are already part of my family. I can't help it. They're my best friends now. That's just life.

"Well, we'd better head out, they're going to be hard to find." Remus said.

"Bye! I hope to see you all when my brother and I leave for Hogwarts!"

"I'll find us a compartment on the train, if we get there before you. See you!"
I smiled and Dumbledore, Remus, and I walked out the door.

"Hold tight to my arm, Penny," Remus said, smiling. I was finally going to meet my brother!

Suddenly, I felt the familiar awful feeling of apparition.

And that feeling was gone as soon as it came.

"Are you okay, Penny?" Remus asked, concerned.

"Yeah, I've apparated before."

"Oh, that makes sense. Most vomit, your dad did."

'That's the most hilarious thing I've ever heard. But I'm not going to say anything. I'm just going to laugh.'

"Remus?"

"Yes, Penny?"

"Two things. Where are we?"

"We are at your new home. But, you see, they left. We have to find your brother. Your uncle has decided to take matters into his own hands and keep Harry from knowing he is a wizard."

"How... Wonderful. Can I tell Harry? Wait, how long do you think it will take to find them?"

"Of course and it may not be until late tonight."

"Tonight is a full moon."

"Oh no."

"Yes, we have about an hour before the moon comes out."

"That truly is not good in any way. I'm sorry, Penny. I really do want to stay with you but I must take my potion. I'm going to take you to Mrs. Figg's house. She is your neighbor. She is also a squib. She can owl Dumbledore and find someone else to take you to them and give Harry his Hogwarts letter. You'll get yours at the same time. "

"Thank you, Remus, I completely understand. I'll owl you when we get back to the Dursley's, if I can."

"I'll be sure you can."

I smiled up at him. "Someone does care about me."

"Don't be silly, Penny. Of course I care about you."

"Didn't mean to say that aloud." I mumbled.

"We're here." Remus said quietly.

I knocked on the door that must have been Mrs. Figg's. I heard a gasp as the door with the number five slowly opened.

Okay, I feel like this chapter is much longer than the previous two. Reviews would be appreciated!

I know this chapter is really short. It was much longer but my cat likes to sit on my keyboard. It was a full three pages on word, but I forgot to save and long story short, my cat deleted it. I thought a chapter was deserved and I was too lazy to rewrite it all so... yeah. Sorry!

"What's wrong, Mrs. Figg?" what would make her sound that surprised?

"You-you're Penelope Potter, aren't you?" she asked timidly.

“No I'm Harry, can't you tell?” I paused, giggling as a cat tried to sneak out the door. “Of course I'm Penelope!”

"Oh, I'm sorry, dear. Please-come in. It would be an honor! Of course, Dumbledore told me you might appear on my doorstep, but he never said it would be anytime soon!”

“I am sorry, Mrs. Figg. Remus, here, has something that he must do tonight, so I'll be needing someone else to help me find my brother.” I said, wondering who Dumbledore would send after me.

“Oh, of course, dear. I'll owl Dumbledore now,” she said, walking back into her sitting room.

“Okay, I'll be seeing you, Remus!” I said, smiling.

“Goodbye, Penny,” he said, turning on the spot and disappearing with a 'crack'.

I stepped into the open door, taking the same path as Mrs. Figg. When I found her, she was watching a large tawny owl fly out the open window.

“Would you like some tea, Penny?” Mrs. Figg asked after an awkward silence.

"No, thank you."

“Dumbledore should be replying in about two hours.”

“Two Hours?” I asked, wondering how owl post could take that long.

“Yes, Dumbledore is a very busy man. Depending on where he currently is, the delivery of the letter could take anywhere from five to twenty minutes. Then he must find the time to read the letter and reply. Then he must find someone to replace Remus, though he probably already has someone chosen for this job. After that, he must send the person. So you wont be leaving for at least an hour, Penelope.”

“O-okay. Please call me Penny.”

“Oh, I'm sorry, Penny, dear.” Mrs. Figg said, looking out the still-open window.

“Is that an owl, Mrs. Figg?” I asked after a long, awkward silence, seeing a small brownish blob nearing number five.

“Yes, I believe it is, Penny. Maybe Dumbledore replied sooner than I thought he would.” Mrs. Figg said quietly.

Seconds later, the large tawny owl flew through the window with Dumbledore's response tied to its leg.
