Chapter 1

The morning finally struck and the final battle has finally ended. Everyone was crying and yet at the same time relieved. Voldemort was no longer the ruler. Harry ended everything once and for all. Hogwarts is free from evil.

My hand was still aching and bloody from the fight. My sweater was torn and my hair was indescribable. It felt like the happiest day of our lives has officially come. There was nothing more to harm us. We feel safe, at last!

The great hall was full of parents and students who joined the battle. Some were badly wounded and some were rejoining with their family. I was standing in the middle. I kept looking for him, my eyes searching every inch of the place. Why can’t I find him? I need to tell him something… something very important.

I walked out of the great hall thinking to myself that maybe, just maybe I’ll find him somewhere. He would probably pop out of the blue. The corridors were peaceful but my heart wasn’t. My brain reminded me of how much important I have to deal with this. My first instinct was, ‘Go to his dorm’ but no, I couldn’t, for surely I will be asked about the password. Plan B? There was no Plan B. The castle is too big, too wide for us to meet.

“Hey, come back here. Professor McGonagall will be announcing something!” a girl from behind called my name. I went back to hear what the professor will be saying. As I stood at the back of the hall I can see all the professors in front… The loyal ones. The ones that swore to protect Hogwarts and its students for as long as it stands. Then there was silence as Professor McGonagall stood into Professor Dumbledore’s podium to speak.

“This is a great time for us. Evil has been banished away and will be no longer here to threat us. We did very well to stand up against the death eaters. We have been bold enough to fight for Hogwarts. Trust me, if Professor Dumbledore was here he would be very proud of you.
I’m sorry to say that we also lost our recent Headmaster, Professor Snape. He was a great hero and he will remain in our hearts. He has sacrificed his life to save Harry Potter. He has risked his life to remain faithful and most of all he showed courage. We also have lost our families and friends because of this battle. This however should not be our downfall, for they have risked their lives to save you and this school.
Today is another day to live. It will be a story that you will tell your children and grandchildren someday. And lastly, we couldn’t have done this all without Harry Potter, because of him we are finally free of evil.”

Everyone applaud.

I went to find him in the castle again. I was already set for this. I’ve been ready for this. Then I saw him.

“Harry!” I greeted. It’s been awhile since I last saw him smile. He had stitches in some parts of his face but he showed no pain.
“Are you okay?” I’m worried but he nodded and gave me a warm smile.
“H-Harry… I need to tell you something.” I feel afraid to say it even when I’m so sure I’m ready. He waited for me to say it but suddenly…
“Harry, come! They’re waiting for you.” Hermione interrupted.
“We’ll talk later, okay? I-I need to go…” he went along.
Just when I’m so close to telling him something, someone just tries to interrupt. I couldn’t help but look around. The portraits were moving like they normally do. The moment felt vague and yet it feels so memorable.

“When the time comes, I’ll tell him.” I thought.

I went outside to see what Hogwarts is like in the morning. They told me that we will all be leaving in the evening. The students wanted to celebrate. As I walked down to the Hogwarts’ Quidditch Pitch. The feeling was nostalgic. I remember when I played Quidditch. The awesome feeling to be so high up and flying in a broomstick. I sat down and let these memories just flash back into the silent cold morning.


(Sorry guys, the character narrating the story will be revealed in my Chapter 2. So you can just guess who she is…LOL)

Chapter 2



I vaguely remember the moment when I started to like Harry but I knew that there was something between us. Time flew by so fast that sometimes I wished it would have stopped in the middle where everything just got perfect for the both of us.

Was it my lack of courage to him? Or was it my lack of choice? I blamed myself most of the time. Let’s go back in time so that I’ll tell you what I mean…

“Anything from the trolley?” Yes, this was where it all began. Like every year, we ride the Hogwarts Express to reach Hogwarts. All the seats were taken. I was running out of choices already. I have to sit somewhere else. Then I came across an empty compartment. Technically, it wasn’t empty since I can see bags stacked above. Nonetheless, I was desperate and needed to sit. While I was fixing myself up someone opened the compartment. I’m not quite sure about their conversation but they were discussing something serious. I looked up to see that the 2 of them, a boy and a girl, was staring at me.

“I’m sorry but all the seats are full. Can I please stay here?” they both nodded to me. They sat down and kept glancing at each other, exchanging looks like they were talking telepathically. Then another person went in the compartment. This time he stared at me with a surprise look on his face. I didn’t know if there was something wrong with my face or if I was a real bother sitting down in the same compartment as them. He nervously sat down next to me. The other two shared a smile.

The girl looked very familiar to me. She’s very school oriented, that’s the most I know. She was wearing a pink and yellow striped sweater and pants. Her expressions were very precise. The guy next to her was a bit aloof. I don’t know, I couldn’t explain his face much further. It was hard reading what he could be thinking.

The silence in the compartment got awkward and awkward. No one was saying anything. There were only stares. It crept me out and I couldn’t bare the awkward silence.

“I’m Cho Chang by the way.” I introduced myself.
“Oh, we know who you are.” Said the red hair boy whose name I always forget. I remember his brother Percy and of course, Fred and George but not him.
“I’m Hermione. This is Ron and Harry.” Hermione introduced all three of them.

At the time I didn’t know about anything. I barely knew these people and I don’t know if they know me that much. That time, I was happy to meet new friends.

Harry was a little bit weirder than Ron and Hermione. He kept staring at me, glancing every minute or two, smiled like there was something funny and I don’t know if “observing” was an appropriate term for what he’s doing.

When we reached the Hogsmeade Station, I decided to just go with them until we all arrive at Hogwarts. Upon arriving the carriages Harry told me something about the moon. I didn’t quite listen to his mumbling so I wasn’t sure about what he said.

Harry shrieked.
“What is it?” I looked at him. He was staring in the air. It’s a little bit peculiar and quite frankly, rude.
“Can you see it?” he asked the three of us.
“No” we answered in chorus and looked around.
“There’s nothing in front of the carriage Harry. You’re just imagining things.” I helped him up and let him sat on the carriage first. He was still looking at the front portion of the carriage. I needed to distract him.
“Harry, are you looking forward for the meal?” wrong question. That was lame. It’s not even worth to distract. But fortunately it worked.

He and I talked about a lot of things in the carriage. We discussed about Quidditch, Professor Snape, and about the upcoming trips to Hogsmeade for the term. As the ride finished Ron and Hermione quickly ran off leaving Harry and I at the entrance. We both stared and giggled at the same time. It was a bit bizarre at the moment.

“Cho! I’ve been looking all around for you.” Someone called me. It was Cedric. I’m so happy to meet Cedric. It’s been awhile since we last saw each other. I missed him so much.

I turned to Harry and bid goodbye.
“Good night, Harry. See you around school.” I hurriedly ran to Cedric and walked hand in hand with him as we went inside the castle.



(There you have it. The main character and the story narrator was revealed. LOL! I don’t know how many the chapters are but hopefully I could finish the story in less than a month.)

Aha! That was my second guess! ( I actually think my second guess was like, Pansy Parkinson) buuuuuuut anyway.

Pansy??? hahahaha... I decided to make a story about Cho cuz you know, people don't really or hardly recognize her as a character.

Good eye by the way, there would be a reason for that even though Cedric was there. You just ave to keep reading. Seriously, i thought no one would notice. LOL! hahahaha....

My mind thinks in strange ways, lol! Too true! I actually like Cho, she's a pretty neat character, though in one of my fan fics I did make her out to be quite a bit of a jerk.

I didn't notice it until I was writing the review, I was like *hum de -WAAAAAAAAAAIT!* oh and there is a reason? Hmmmm *scratches chin*

When you mentioned Pansy i was like "really?? Pansy???" hahahaha... i could never picture her with Harry. LOL! Yeah i like Cho(in the book) too. She's an okay character anyway. and really you did??? LOL!

hmmm..... it's not really that big (the reason, i mean). Really, nothing very surprising. LOL!

Hahahha yea, people give me weird looks. But I've just stumbled upon to many strange fan fics.

I think Cho's awesome. I was on a vacation recently and I turned to one of my friends and said "I want to be Asian like Cho one day" and she just burst into laughter.

Yussss, but I'm writing a different one where she's kewl. Haha.

Nothing very surprising? Hmmmmm... Still suspicious

Chapter 3



The sorting happened really quick. Not many students have been enrolled ever since it was reported that the “Dark Lord” is back. However, Cornelius Fudge has bee blocking all types of evidences about the said situation. My mom has been also hesitant about letting me go to school for this term. She told me to be very careful.

As usual, Professor Dumbledore would announce the old and new professors. Everyone was familiar except, of course, for one: DADA professor. That position seemed to be jinxed. Every year their would always be a new professor and all of them are weird. The new DADA professor was no exception. She looks very perky. Her hideous pink outfit stands out the most. She has that peculiar smile on her face even with all the wrinkles. She was not tall at all. She was this tiny ball of hag that walks around Hogwarts like she knows it from the back of her head. She even interrupted the Head Master’s speech so that she could insert her own “safety” speech. What is up with that?

Her name is Dolores Jane Umbridge… Professor Dolores Jane Umbridge, that’s what she wants to be called.

“Dark Arts is not really a necessary subject to be studied by underage students.” That’s our lesson number one. First day of school, first subject of the week and we get none other than DOLORES! Happy, pink ball of sunshine!
“The Ministry ought to correct this. Nothing is out there students of Hogwarts. It’s just the Daily Prophet’s interpretation of news.” She insisted.

Whether or not the Dark Lord has come to hunt Harry down, she is still boring. If you look around my classmates are not really listening. It’s a waste of time, effort and energy. What was Professor Dumbledore thinking? Putting Umbridge into this school as the new DADA professor.

During lunch period I marched hastily to the great hall. I sat down near the Ravenclaws and took the club sandwich on the table. Then I saw Hermione, Ron and Harry came in. They were annoyed or upset about something, well, Hermione was. I approached them and asked what they were upset about.

“Umbridge of course. She’s really frustrating. The course subject is called Defense Against the Dark Arts not Sit Around and Read Stuffs. We have Snape for that.” Hermione expressed.

She was not the first student to actually tell me that. She’s the 15th to complain. I counted.
Hermione went to the library for some research about Umbridge while Ron went with Seamus to the loo.

“I believe in what you say Harry.” I said.
“I didn’t say anything yet.” Harry looked puzzled.
“I mean, about He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. I believe that he’s back.” I looked at him.
“Because he is, Cho” he replied.
“Umbridge thinks its rubbish.” I said hesitantly.

Harry knew that Umbridge is not here at Hogwarts to teach, she is here to infiltrate.
“Was that Dumbledore?” Harry asked me.
“I… don’t k-know” I looked to where he is looking.
“I need to go. I’ll see you later.”

I was alone again. Everyone seems to be upset about Umbridge situation. Apparently, she is more than meets the eye. If I may say, she’s more evil than the Dark Lord.

As the weeks went by the more we got irritated about Umbridge presence at Hogwarts. She’s completely psycho. She doesn’t teach us anything about the Dark Arts. She’s not doing well in NOT teaching us about the Dark Arts. She was there to punish students. Professor Snape seems less of a threat.

“You-know-who is back and if Dolores can’t teach us how to defend ourselves, Harry will.” I was at the meeting for the new secret organization Harry, Hermione and Ron came up with. Only a few students were given invites about this and there were no Slytherins invited at all.

Cedric and I signed up for the secret organization. He was very optimistic about the idea but then, Harry started to push me away. Ever since Cedric and I entered the club, he no longer speaks to me about anything at all. He’s avoiding me even during practice.

What’s wrong with him this time???

No Slytherins?! (I said that in a sad, whiney voice out loud lol, thankfully no one was around to give me a weird look) Haha, but yea, of course there were no Slytherins, baaad, bad snakies.

Oh come on Umbridge *whacks Dolores over the head* get a life!!

HARRY! HARRY! HARRYYYYYY! Why are you avoiding Cho? You big meanie.. lol.

And Ceeeeeedddddddriiiiiiic! *stabs* stop, er, uh, keeping Cho away from her one true love!

hmmpph... Harry's just a little jealous.. whahahaha... i'm starting chapter 4 anytime soon... i'm just making the plot and draft anyway. LOL!

Chapter 4


Expelliarmus. That was the first lesson. This spell is used to disarm another wizard, typically by causing the victim's wand to fly out of reach. Not that everyone didn’t know that but Hermione wants that everyone should understand what these spells are. Everyone was geared up to learn this spell. It is quite easy enough but hard to perform. It took Neville 2 weeks until he could perform it quite well. Harry is teaching us defensive spells and how to defend ourselves from unfriendly spells. Luckily, the Room of Requirement was big enough for everyone to practice.

“Now, I want you to practice these spells. These are the basics but they are often used by wizards. You should be able to perform these spells well.” Harry said out loud.

There were two problems I am having. One, I don’t know if I’m performing well since Harry barely talks to me even during practice. And two, what is wrong with him?
It has been weeks since I last talked to Harry and he was still avoiding me. I don’t know why he was doing so and sometimes I feel like I want to know. Even during lessons he would come approach me, teach me and then leave immediately. Did I said something to upset him?

The following day before the practice was about to start Harry and Hermione was discussing something. They were quite unaware that I can hear their bickering.

“Harry, let Cedric be your assistant!” Hermione insisted.
“For the last time Hermione, NO!” Harry specified.
“Why? For what reason could you possible say that?” Hermione asked.
“How about you become the assistant? Why Cedric?” Harry was starting to get annoyed.
“Because Harry, he’s the next best teacher. He could perform all these spells well.” Hermione breathe “Is this about something else?”
“W-what? N-no! Of course not.”
“You hesitated. It is about someone else is it?”
“Look Hermione if we’re going to talk about this any longer I swear—“
“It’s about Cho isn’t it?”

I heard my name. I wanted to look but it would blow my cover. I couldn’t let them suspect me of eavesdropping.

“Admit it!” Hermione slapped his right shoulder lightly. Harry didn’t respond. He stared at the bricked wall quietly. “Oh my gosh Harry, you would sabotage this over your jealousy of Cho dating Cedric?” Hermione lowered her voice.

I wanted to move closer and closer because their voices are getting lower by the second. I couldn’t hear their conversation any longer. Was Harry really jealous of Cedric dating me? Since when did Harry start to like me? I know he was staring a lot at me but I didn’t think it meant that he likes me. I just thought it was some kind of mannerism.

During practice my head couldn’t concentrate. I was focused on Harry. I stared at him for so long it’s completely weird.

“It’ll be the Christmas break starting next week so that means no more practice in the Room of Requirement. Take the time off everyone but don’t forget to practice as well. You’re doing such a great progress, really. I couldn’t be more proud of you. I’ll see you after Christmas break.” We all bid our goodbyes to everyone.

I wanted to catch up with Harry and confront him but he was too fast. We all just headed back to our dorms quietly. It’s amazing how we have to act like ninjas when going back to our dorms. I forgot to tell you, Umbridge has been suspicious about our secret organization. It’s been months since she’s doing her best in finding which students are involved. She even formed an “Inquisitorial Squad” to keep on the look-out. Of course, they were all Slytherins. Fortunately for all of us luck was always on our side.

The following morning was already a Saturday. As always I wake up early for my morning jog. It was a bit colder since winter will be arriving anytime soon. Some trees didn’t have leaves already and some of the plants were badly destroyed by the cold weather. Hogwarts was really dull that day. It was if the Dementors were here staying. I jogged until I reached the Quidditch pitch. I walked to it because it felt like it was telling me to come. I missed flying and playing in the field. We didn’t play Quidditch this year. Bloody Umbridge cancelled the game. She said it’s “dangerous and unethical”. Everyone hated Hogwarts the moment she stepped foot.

As I reached the Quidditch pitch I saw a person standing in the middle. He was facing on a different direction, so he didn’t see me. He wasn’t talking to anyone, not looking at something but he was just there, standing. Then as I got nearer, his back got familiar.

“Harry?” I called out. The person turned his back and looked at me.
“Can we talk?” I pleaded. “Please?”
He nooded.

We sat down on one of the benches but neither one of us could speak. We kept glancing at each other and waited for someone to start the conversation.
“It’s cold outside. We shouldn’t be here.” Harry stood up and offered a hand. I ignored it.
“Are you mad at me, Harry?” I looked away. I didn’t want to look at him because I might cry.
“N-no. Why would you think that?”
“You tell me. You’re the one who’s not talking to me.”
“I-I’m just busy that’s all. I’m sorry if I offended you that way.”
“Is it true? That you didn’t make Cedric your assistant because of me?” I finally said it. I’ve been holding on to that question for sometime now.
“Why?” I asked again. “Was he a bother to you?” “Was he bloody arrogant?” “Do you despise him” “Or—“ I asked too many questions at once. Harry looked confused for a moment. He was frowning and he looked like he didn’t understand what we were talking about.
“I don’t… know... w-what you’re talking a-about.” He replied. “But I like you Cho, I really do.” He added.

Then there was silence. We no longer looked at each other nor gave glances. Only the wind spoke and kept our hairs moving back and fort.

“Look, Cho” Harry spoke. “I’m sorry but it’s hard for me to admit to you.”
“but we’re f-friends” I still didn’t look at him.
“You asked me ‘why’ and I just simply answered. I ju—“
“Cho” someone interrupted. Harry and I both looked back.
“h-hey” it was Cedric. I tried to smile. I saw Harry looked down, disappointed.
“Come, I need to tell you something.” Cedric said.

Then there it was. I had to chose between the two of them. Would I choose to go with Cedric or would I choose to stay with Harry and talk? My heart couldn’t make up what to do but my feet rose up and moved slowly to Cedric. As I walked towards him, I looked back at Harry, wanting to apologize but instead my hand waved goodbye.
