 If you are eager to see, be seen, and get to London first, then the front passenger cars of the train are for you. Just like the other cars, a long corridor provides access to the many compartments, each labelled with a letter, available for you and your friends to hunker down in until the train has come to a complete stop. Cushioned seats and large windows, allowing perfect views of the British scenery on your journey, await.
Well, what are you waiting for? Slide open a compartment door and make yourself at home. Place any of your belongings not in the luggage car on the racks above you. Chat with your friends about your summer plans, enjoy munching on the snacks you bought from the trolley lady, get ahead of the game by exchanging addresses, or take a long nap as the train travels over numerous hills and mountainsides. Whatever you do, exhibit your best behaviour -- the prefects will be regularly patrolling the corridors and poking their heads inside your compartment to make sure you are doing so.

This was the last time Ash would ever take this train. And... she didn't know how to feel. She should feel happy now that she never had to come back, right? She'd waited 7 years for this moment. But now that she was on the train, she felt scared. She wasn't going to university. She didn't know what she wanted to do with her life. She'd likely be stuck depending on her parents for a while. She didn't expect her life to improve much(or at all) after graduating. So that was a thing.
Not wanting to think about it, Ash turned her attention to the view out of the window and took in every detail. It was good that her compartment was empty. She didn't wish to burden anyone with her feelings or thoughts. And the view from the window was very pretty. |

Rajesh was usually a free spirit when it came to the train, finding a spot wherever he could. Plenty of time to spend time with friends and familiar faces during the school year. At least after the train ride TO Hogwarts. It was why he was currently wandering down through the front cars in search for a seat. Spotting the familiar form of Ash sitting alone in one of the compartments he found himself pausing in step and questioning.
Did she want to be alone?
Was she waiting for others?
In the mood for company but no one had come along yet?
The sixth year Ravenclaw bit the inside of his cheek as he tried to think on his best move and whether or not he should just move on. But in the end he gingerly slid the door to the compartment open and stuck in his head. “Hey….” He greeted quietly with a soft polite smile. “Need company?” he asked, giving her the option on whether or not he continued to invade her space.

Ash sighed as somebody interrupted her quiet. Could she tell them to leave her alone? No, maybe there weren't any other seats on the train... she looked over. Oh. "Raj! Hey..." She rubbed her face. "I could always use your company." She claimed that she didn't WANT company. But Raj was nice, and he was her friend. And she was really very lonely. "I was just watching the scenery go by. So you didn't interrupt anything." | |

I could always use your company Now that wasn’t something he often heard in pertaining to his presence though it wasn’t like he made himself a bother. That was what he and his fellow Ravenclaw had in common…. being the more quiet and reserved of the eagles.
“Well then I will supply you with it,” he remarked as he entered the compartment fully, taking the seat opposite Ash to still give her space. The company that was. Ah yes…the scenery. "Committing it to memory?" To him it was always interesting to see the changes as they went, and the different seasons. Letting him see portions of the country he didn't often get to visit up close.

"Thanks." Ash quietly leaned her head against the window. "I wouldn't say I'm committing the scene to memory. I'm just appreciating it since I won't be seeing it again." She probably wouldn't see any of Hogwarts again. Not that she wanted to. It was just... weird. She was used to Hogwarts. Living on her own was going to be very different. She sighed deeply, looking back over. "What did you say your summer plans were, Raj? Got any time to hang out with me?" | |
