The Three Broomsticks
 Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way.
Once you enter the pub, smells and the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly infront of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate but if you're early enough, only Merlin can say what will happen. To your left the bar and most likely the bartender Harold "Hops" Lagerty, await you and your order--a few stools await you to take a load off and shoot the breeze with others.
The bartender is pretty sociable to those who don't annoy him. He's seen his lot of warlocks, goblins, and Hogwarts kids to know which ones were trouble and which of those made loyal customers, so be sure not to be put on the first part of the list.
A few rules from the Shop Owner: No brawling, no shouting (angrily), no alcohol to minors, and don't go up the stairs, I live up there.
OCC Rules: No RPing for the shopkeeper and all other School RPG Rules apply.

He would have given a thumbs up but well his hands were full. Of course she knew that. The comment added a little color to her cheeks as he left, her grin didn't falter, on the opposite her face was radiant with glee. Good thing it was when he left because she had no comeback to that except a tiny girly giggle. She used to be okay with giggling, now she found it awfully childish and annoying which drove her to be determined to control it to a minimum as much as possible.
Seated at the table with her legs crossed, Dante came back with their drinks. She grabbed hers and took a sip immediately, testing the quality. "As you should." Her choices were always excellent, right? Better than his at least, Dante was such a guy guy, he paid little attention to details that did concern her. "So, summer is close and we survived another year at Hogwarts." Honestly, why were people so crazy over her transferring here three years ago (wow, time flies). "And you're an adult now, I'll be following you this summer," she flashed him a big smile. Was his train of thoughts going where hers was? Hmm? HM? Two adults, free to roam the world, summer break is coming... HMM? |

She took another sip of her butterbeer and looked around. She noticed a girl nearby - definitely older than her by the looks of it - standing nearby, looking lost. Was she looking for someone? Or just looking for a place to sit?
Scarlett usually wasn't so...welcoming to strangers, preferring more to let people approach her, but what the heck? Why not be a little more polite than usual today? She had nothing else to do.
She raised a hand for the girl. "Um, do you want to sit down? I have an extra seat here," she told her, motioning to the chair across from her.

Hadleigh took a sip of her butterbeer, hazel eyes slowly scanning each and every table. Maybe she should've asked one of her friends along on today's outing at least she wouldn't be standing here alone. Blowing out a breath she stepped to the side letting a group of younger years move past her towards their friends. They had the riget idea and she sent them a small smile.
Glancing around again she spotted someone waving in her direction and it took her a moment to realize it was directed at her. "Oh, thanks that would be great if you don't mind." Hady smiled warmly in thanks walking over and taking a seat across from the younger girl. "I really didn't expect it to be so crowded in here. I'm Hady by the way," she offered setting her mug down on the table. This girl might be younger but she had to be nice if she was offering her a seat when she didn't really know her.

I can always ask my mom to give me enough coins for an island vacation." It was ironic how they were already on an island but it didn't feel like it at all. The beaches here were dull and meh, Eureka sought something more exotic.
BUt also something like that would be awfully expensive. SPEAKING OF WHICH, "Oh! We can take up summer jobs." She got herself excited over this now. "And how perfect would it be if we both worked at the same place? Like, a bar or a restaurant." Seriously, this was too exciting! Being together ALL the time. Swoon.

"I always pictured you are the type to work with animals part-time. Not at a bar or restaurant. Especially one that specializes in meat."
He was one hundred percent down for a vacation.

She got him there. He still did not want to work together at a job. Since well Dante made enough during the school year with his candy thing to have the summer off. He was still debating about interning at WHiM. He was undecided at this point.
"Vacation, One Hundred Percent Yes.......
Job, No."
It probably would not be terrible though that depended on the job. Dante did not want to risk it.

Eureka did not get angry much, in fact she got angry a handful times in her teen years which was impressive for any teenager girl. It was probably something she took from her grandfather. Point was, she was angry now, and her face got all puffy and fat all of the sudden with annoyance at the boy sitting across from her.
She turned her face towards the window away from him, because she did NOT want to see him right now. Her hands continued to cling to the glass to supply her with more fuzzy drinks, it did not help the annoyance but at least it tickled her throat and made her feel other things than anger.
The question was not welcome at this stage so she did not answer, instead she gave him an unpleasant look then gulped down the rest of the drink. "I want to go." She admitted. She should've just gone without telling him because she was angry, but... could not do it. | |

"I know, right?! It's because it's cold - so everyone is in here getting a butterbeer to warm up," she chuckled. "I'm Scarlett. Nice to meet you, Hady," she told her with a grin. She looked at her to see if she could see any semblance of a house on her...but she couldn't tell. She couldn't remember her from lessons, either. All she knew was that she was definitely NOT a Hufflepuff. THOSE she knew.
"So, I'm assuming you aren't a Hufflepuff because I haven't seen you around my common room," she told her with a grin.

That my friends is what a catch twenty two is. He answered and look what happened. The same thing would have happened if he didn't or tried to please her. But really its not like they have been dating for a month or something.

Yes, she was mad. And she wanted to go. Eureka thought she'd leave to Hogwarts and confine herself in her dormitory with her dorm friends talking about how insensitive boys can be. But Dante was being so mature right now and was impressively calm she spared him a side glance (it wasn't an unfriendly one).
"I don't know. Maybe I'll let you maybe not. You'll have to find out" She said with as much sass as she could conjure while fuming. She did get up simultaneously with him and started moving towards the door to the candy shop without waiting for him, just to let him catch up to her.
The idea of her favorite candy was actually a great idea, he SHOULD cherish her for a while before she deemed this fight over. Unmutual fight.

He was going to broke by the end of this trip wasn't he? Considering she was still mad. Dante already knew girls were weird since two of his best friends were girls. So he just accepted mood swings at this point. No use complaining to Hugo or anyone about it. He would just tease.
Dante followed her out shaking his head. Well at least his life was not boring.
"I also know another way to turn that frown into a smile."
Dante said to her. Still behind her.
Also slow down. Speed Demon. Dante never liked to rush anywhere.

However she hadn't been correct in her thought process and everyone choose to come here right when she had. Oh well, it's not like it was a huge deal. "Scarlett. That's a nice name," Hady mused quietly. Not one she heard all to often but pretty. "It's nice to meet you too." A polite girl this was. Clearly younger. Obviously not a snake possibly Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. Which brought them to the simple confirmation that the smaller girl was a badger. Just like Adi and Lux. No wonder she liked her already. "Nope, not a badger. I'm actually in Slytherin. A sixth year." Hissssssss. Picking up the mug she took another sip of her butterbeer and all it's yummy warm goodness.

Muggle books were boring when there were MAGICAL books to read!
Well except her father's book, apparently.
"OOOOH so you just took OWLs then? Was it hard? I keep hearing terrible things about those," she said with a grin, making polite conversation before taking a sip of her butterbeer. "And a Slytherin, huh? Aren't we supposed to not like each other?" she teased with another grin. She knew it was just a silly old rivalry, and not really present anymore, but it was still fun to joke about it. Especially when one of Scarlett's best friends was a Snake!

Hadleigh smiled lightly. Picking up her butter beer she took another sip her gaze roaming around the room to see who was leaving and who was coming in. Like always she was being observant. "I did. They were... um some were pretty easy but others were a bit hard, yeah. A little tip for you, when the time comes begin studying long before hand." It always helps to space out the studying and take breaks. She herself had spent the entire term studying for those exams. Scarlett's comment had her laughing. "I'm a snake yeah but the rivalry is between us and Gryffindor." Hady was teasing but she gave the younger girl a playful wink. Her best friend was in that house and so was Frankie. Some of her other closest friends were Puffers as well.
