The prefect lounge has been significantly revamped since the Battle of Hogwarts years ago, and we would like prefects to start using it again. Here, you can find a cluster of comfortable couches. Relax after a long day working and kick back with your fellows.
And because no lounge would be complete without a fireplace, enjoy the well-tended fire provided by the house elves. | |

It wasn't as if Tia was new to Hogwarts, but she was new to having her own place that she could seek refuge. Even if it wasn't precisely private, considering there were nine others who could join her at any time. And in this instance, she really hoped they all would come because there was only a couple months left of her time at Hogwarts and she wanted to make them count. The past three and a half years flew by and she knew her remaining time at this school would be drawing to a close. She had NEWTs and then she was done.
The seventh year had convinced the elves to make some tea and cookies for their haven, which she hoped would have been enough to lure her peers to the lounge. Taking one cookie herself, she took a seat on the couch before taking a small bite from her cookie and waiting. Honey eyes glancing nervously towards the door. They weren't coming.... they didn't know where the lounge was were just some of the thoughts flowing through Tia's mind. Along with, they didn't care she was leaving. They had more time then she did.

Penelope needed a break, some time to just sit and think. The prefect lounge was good for thinking because there weren't that many students who could be in here, so she was likely to be able to be at least somewhat alone for a few minutes. However, it seemed that someone else was already here. Penelope didn't mind this, as she always liked talking to Tia. "Hello Tia!" Was that the smell of cookies?
Penelope sat down on the couch next to Tia and grabbed a cookie to nibble on. "Do you ever worry about what it will be like out in the world after Hogwarts?" Penelope had been thinking about that recently, and the thought scared her. She wasn't ready to graduate, and she wasn't even sure yet of what she wanted to study in university or what career she wanted to go into. Fortunately, Penelope still had a whole year left at Hogwarts, but time would pass quickly. Tia would be graduating very soon, almost too soon. "I'll miss you after you graduate, Tia." A few more months, and then Tia would graduate. Penelope would turn 17, and not long after she would be a 7th year. It seemed unreal that in just a few months Penelope would start her final year at Hogwarts. She really needed to seriously think about what career she wanted to go into. So little time, so much to think about.

Though Tia hadn't told her fellow student leaders she would be here, she hoped they needed just as much a break and quiet time as she needed. But after a few moments of peaceful silence, Tia figured they were enjoying the sunshine or forever studying or hanging out with significant others. That was when Penelope entered. "Hey Penelope," she greeted back
Oh good, and the younger eagle ate a cookie, meaning she wouldn't be forced to eat them all out of guilt. "All the time, but it's kind of exciting too. The freedom to go where I want, when I want, without being bound by underage magic laws or restricted by school." Of course she'd still be restricted but it was more downtime then a rigid school schedule like Hogwarts provided. "I'll miss ya too and well, all you eaglets, but you'll be a great seventh year. I know the younger eaglets will be under good care." She fell quiet a moment, reflecting on her post-Hogwarts career and how concentrated her studies would be compared to now. "I'm headed to the Wizarding University in Sydney in the Fall. I'm scared because even though I'm from Italy, Sydney is like the other side of the world." Literally. "It'll be exciting though. Studying more in-depth on the protection of magical creatures, particular ones at risk for extinction."

With Ravenclaw in the lead in house point standings and with a good shot at winning the Gobstones cup too Leo was in high spirits. Only a few more months and then he'd get to spend the whole summer with Cassie and Jackson. Right now he enjoyed his life, his work and assisting the students with their studies for their end of the year exams. He didn't even mind the occasional chatter that now filled the library aisles from dawn till dusk. On nice days Leo made sure to kick the revising students out in the sunshine to get some fresh air. You never studied well with a fuzzy brain. Plus they couldn't study 24/7 it wasn't healthy.
On this afternoon Leo had left the quiet library to check in with his prefects, especially TiaMarie that would soon be graduating. What were her plans he wondered after passing her NEWT's? Would she be studying at University or interning somewhere? The first place Leo decide to check since it was a known prefect refugee were the couches in their lounge area. Bypassing the bathroom he soon came into the lounge where he spotted both Tia and Penelope sitting on one of the couches. "Good Afternoon TiaMarie and Penelope!" Leo greeted in turn a warm smile pursing his lips. "Have you too quit revising for your exams, for the day?"
