Gemma clicked into the library with a handful of Muggle Dictionaries and a Muggle Encyclopedia set floated along behind her as she walked. She also had a little gift bag sitting on top of the Muggle Dictionaries in her hand. The stack in her hands was a little too tall and she had to lean to the side in order to see around it.

She walked carefully but couldn't see very well which was just a disaster waiting to happen....she knew there shouldn't be any chairs in her way after visiting the library a few times over the years. She looked left and right around the books trying to find Leo but couldn't see him...

and then it happened....

Between the books stacked high and Leo conjuring up a chair in the middle of her path she tripped right over him. She landed in his lap awkwardly and the books ended up all over the place.

Isabelle had sent an owl to her husband as soon as the feast had finished, asking him to send some of the spare copies of her Transfiguration books. She had no idea if any of the ones burnt were for her subject, but there was a fair chance. A couple of owls had arrived that morning with their parcels, and Issy was now carrying the four books into the library. It wasn't many, but hopefully it would help.

Stopping to survey the scene, she nearly dropped them in shock. This was the first time she'd seen the place since it was fully doused and had started being cleaned. It looked so bad. All charred and blackened in places. Spotting Leo with Gemma sat on his lap made her eyebrows raise slightly. Not a scene she was expecting to see, but not being the nosy type, one she chose to bypass as a conversation topic. For now.

"I'm so sorry, Leo," Isabelle said, finally approaching the two of them and placing her books down on a clean part of the floor. Noticing a couple of Muggle Studies one strewn there, she picked them up and put them next to hers, before gesturing to them. "I see you had the same idea, Gemma." And why are you sat in Leo's lap?

She felt awful for not having visited sooner. Her plans to leave for home could wait another day though, as she made her way up to the fourth floor, a very fat and fluffy light orange cat hot on her heels. With all the kids gone, might as well give at least one of her cats some leg room..and exercise. Dang, Barnabus was getting big.

The library may have been big, but she could still hear the voices. Not too far away then. She wasn't the only one to give a visit it seemed either. Walking over to the reference section, now a black mark of the disaster, snapping her fingers for her cat to follow and not wander off, Medea came to a stop nearby. There was much to take in. None of which happened to be the fact of certain professor sitting on other's laps. Ahem.

"Not too late to join the party, am I?"

...Too soon for jokes?

Gemma's face was a bright red and she was stunned for a moment...and eventhough she didn't think her face could get any more red...she was wrong...she soon heard footsteps and like clockwork other professors had come to help Leo and here she was awkwardly sitting in his lap.

She untangled herself with a quick, "O Leo, I'm sooo sorry I didn't see you there..." and then she stood up smoothing out her pants and shirt and fixing her hair and looked at the other staff members as she started helping Isabelle pick up the Muggle reference books, "O goodness, I had these stacked toot all and didn't realize that Leo was sitting in a chair right here and ran right into him..." she kind of stumbled through the sentence with her face still bright red and embarrassment beaming from her face. She picked up a couple of the encyclopedias and then the others rose into the air floating again, "ummm...Thank you Isabelle for your help picking these up..." she said as she walked off towards a non burned shelf quickly trying not to limp since her ankle was giving her a little bit of a pain from the trip.

Leobald was just about to close his eyes and construct a plan of action to have place to start. If he didn't well he'd probably end up being just doing nothing and feeling useless. It was traumatizing to just look at the charred book shelves.

When somebody knocked into his comfy chair and landed akwardly in his lap. Bewildered he looked into Gemma's eyes. His mind stopping in his tracks he just sat there with the the Muggle Studies professor in his lap.

It was until Medea and Isabelle arrived and Gemma moving off his lap from her awkward position that his mind started to work again. Bewildered, embarrassed and just well not sure what to say exactly he stood up and scratched his head. "I er forgive you Gemma. Don't worry about it. No harm done."

Eyeing the books scattered all over the floor he asked feeling dumb. "Are you donating these books to the library Gemma?" Shifting his attention to Isabelle and Medea he said "Hello Medea and Isabelle, are you here to give me a hand? I could use all the help I get as you can see---" he trailed off, with a gesture to the bookshelves and cases.
