Default The Hidden Terrace

Around the corner from Professor Wishart's office lies a hidden terrace area where student's and staff alike can come and lounge around in the sun or take a seat in the shade of the waterfall that spills out into the pond, surrounded by friends and plants. To get access to the hidden terrace you need to step up to the big and bushy pink rose bushes that gard the entrance. Gently stroke the rose petals and whisper 'Green thumbs are awesome!' and the charmed rose bushes will take a step back to allow you to enter.

Upon entering you'll be met by the serene sight of plenty of vibrant flowers and plants and small round tables with accompanying charmed cushioned chairs. Have a picnic, drink some tea, do or discuss homework, study or just relax in this hidden sanctuary. All are welcomed here, but if you hurt or damage the flowers and plants here be wary of igniting Professor Wishart's wrath!

One could only toast marshmallows for so long. With that in mind, Charlie left the Gryffindor bonfire at a certain point to explore the grounds. She obviously would not and had no desire to explore it all in one night, but maybe, at the very least, it could help make the Hogwarts as a whole feel a little less daunting.

Her well-worn tennis shoes, frayed laces and all, squished into the grass and dirt, hands in her cloak pockets. Her eyes scanned the scenery surrounding her: a dark and foreboding forest that she would be sure to avoid (in the later hours of the day, at least), magical creatures and their housing (that would be another project for another day), and — ooh, some pretty rose bushes. Her shoes squished further into the dirt (and grew accordingly caked in it) as she made a beeline for said bushes.

Upon arrival, Charlie’s hands exited the cloak pockets, and her fingers reached out for the petals of the flowers. They smelled divine, too.

Her cloak must have snagged on the thorns of the roses, because as soon as she turned to go to another area of the grounds, she keeled over, letting out a loud yelp as she it the ground. Charlie herself didn’t sustain much damage, but she couldn’t say the same for her sizably-tipped cloak. As for the roses... she couldn’t bear to look.

Christ on a cracker...,” she muttered, avoiding getting up (she found that closing her eyes helped in avoiding the harsh reality).

The thunderstorm of the previous night had had Joshua up for the most of the night on the grounds putting out a few storm ignited fires and clearing away some fallen trees. One tree had even fallen into the lake and disturbed the giant quid who had been very vocal to him when he cleared out. So when saturday night came Joshua was glad for some rest and fun. He meant to step by the bonfire that Tristan along with his Gryffindor leaders had set up with marshmallows and so on for everyone’s enjoyment but he first felt like checking in on the flowers and plants in the hidden terrace. The terrace’s flowers and plants we’re his secret favourites along with those he nurtured back to health in the greenhouses of course.

As he entered the terrace the first thing Professor Wishart heard was a loud yelp followed by a small thump as something or someone hit the ground. Reaching down in his robe pocket to take a hold of his wand, as a precaution he quickly moved forward, eyes darting left and right to find the source of the yelp. The scene that met him moment’s later wasn’t what the worst he imagined and thus he was slightly relieved for now, since he didn’t know the state of the flowers and plants the girl had fell on. First things first though he reasoned as he headed over toward the blue robed girl on the ground asking worriedly as he cast eyes down to meet the girl’s. "Are you all right? Charlie, isn’t it? I just heard a yelp."
