Post Warner Bros Studio Tour Hollywood - revamped and reopening

It’s been well over a year since the Warner Brothers Studio Tour Hollywood shut down due to COVID-19, but they spent the time well, expanding their tour with some amazing new experiences. We were able to take a sneak peek at all the new additions and were totally blown away!

First off, the tour now begins in a brand new Arrival Hall, which features mini versions of the iconic water tower and some sound stages, all sitting on a floor paper map of the studio lot. The room also provides visitors with a list of all the films/TV shows being filmed on the lot that day.

A good portion of Stage 48: Script to Screen has been revamped. The old gift shop has been replaced with an expanded Central Perk café with guest seating incorporated into little vignettes of the characters' apartments from the TV show “Friends.” There is also a new Post-Production Suite with two interactive stations. In the first, guests can select a film clip and learn to edit sound with the help of a Foley sound artist. In the second, guests can watch a famous scene and record their own voiceover to it.

Lastly, the Archive museum, which used to house Harry Potter props, has been transformed into Action and Magic Made Here. This stop on the tour is loaded with interactive experiences from the Wizarding World. Guests can “create” a potion in a cauldron, practice their wand skills with mini lessons from Harry Potter wand choreographer Paul Harris, and visit Newt Scamander’s shed, where they can climb out of Newt’s briefcase and make magical creatures come alive.

Cool photo opps include Harry’s cupboard under the stairs at No. 4 Privet Drive and Hogwarts acceptance letters flying out of the Dursley’s fireplace. Guests can also pot screaming mandrakes and, of course, discover their true House from the Sorting Hat.

Warner Bros Studio Tour Hollywood opens Saturday, June 26. To book your tickets online, visit wbstudiotour.com.
