Videos: ITV's 50 Greatest Harry Potter Moments special, with J.K. Rowling & cast
ITV1 in Britain aired their documentary and special on the 50 Greatest Harry Potter Moments, as chosen by fans, on Wednesday evening. Narrated by Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), the special featured, in addition to the top 50 moments and scenes in the first seven Harry Potter films (at the time of production, Deathly Hallows: Part 2 had not been released and therefore could not added to the compilation), new interviews with J.K. Rowling and the cast and crew of the series, from Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Ralph Fiennes, to Julie Walters, James and Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Tom Felton, and Matthew Lewis.

This was so nice to watch, in a sort of conclusion to the whole series. I'd have liked 46, 28 and 26 to be higher placed, but the final twelve are perfect.

Number 1 disappointed me. And why was when the golden trios first meeting number 50? I think that should have been one of the 1st ones. And why wasn't ron and lavenders kiss in it? Or Harry and ginnys?
Obviously, any time you have a list like this there are going to be disagreements, but as a Ginny fan (and a Harry and Ginny fan) it is pretty revolting that they do not include a single scene featuring her. Not Harry rescuing her in the CoS. Or her anguished scream at the “death” of Harry in DH2 (one of the most powerful scenes in that movie). Or Harry meeting the Weasleys for the first time at Kings Cross. Or the Epilogue. Or her bravely running out to rescue Harry when the Burrow is being attacked in HBP. Or their sweet first kiss in the RoR. Or the hilarious scene of the second kiss in DH1 (“morning.”) Or their touching break-in-the-battle kiss in DH2 (“I know”). Or so many other memorable scenes.
But they do include Harry kissing Cho. And that truly awful No. 46. Blehhh! Who came up with this list?

Love this! Definitely agree with all the scenes that were listed. I think I'd re-order some of them, but for the most part, it's pretty accurate, especially since they're chosen by fans.
Though I'm kinda sad no DH2 scenes were included. There are some really great scenes in that movie that I'm sure would have made it on here, like the Prince's Tale and the Ron/Hermione kiss. Ah well. Still a great list of the Greatest HP Moments

You're right - this list was obviously created before DH2 came out - otherwise scenes such as - Molly killing Bellatrix, the dragon breaking out of Gringotts, Helena playing Hermione playing Bellatrix, Harry's walk into the Forbidden Forest to meet his fate with Voldemort, Harry getting "killed" by Voldemort, and Harry and Voldemort's final brutal battle - would surely have made the list.
In fact - a good 10 to 15 of the greatest moments could have come from that one film! Otherwise - the list isn't bad, I don't agree with the order on everything, but that's o.k.
Def a few head-scratchers in this list. Trio's first meeting should def be higher. Hermione punching draco should not be that high wtf lol? Also, I would have liked to see ron's speech to hermione when he comes back or the hospital scene from hbp on the list.
I think they should have done this after part 2 came out actually.
