Video: First look at Hogwarts detailed map from Harry Potter Wizard's Collection
 

The Harry Potter Wizard's Collection official website released a preview of the detailed and coloured map of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the surrounding areas of the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade, a poster-sized version of which will come with the 31-disc DVD and Blu-ray collection, out on September 7 in the U.S., September 10 in the U.K. That, and a video where art designers Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima describe creating the map, can be seen below.

Created exclusively for the Harry Potter Wizard's Collection, this full-color map is 24" x 36", printed on fabric and suitable for framing. I want that map so badly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But just the map! (I can't afford the Wizard's Collection and I don't want to have to buy the Blu-Ray when I don't have Blu-Ray)

Hagrid's hut is on the wrong side :whut: why is it so far from the Forbidden Forest?

and i didnt think the Owlery would be that far...

Agreed. Hagrid's Hut is completely wrong there. It should be by the forest, above the Whomping Willow image. And the Quidditch pitch should be over to the left more, on the other side of the front gates. Honestly, didn't they even look at Jo's map? (see below)

I like it , but why is Hogsmeade Station on the opposite side of the map from Hogsmeade? Also the Quidditch pitch seems kind of close to Hogsmeade.

I wish they could have set up the map to how JK Rowling had originally drawn it.

Well this was based from the interpretations from the filmmakers more than it was Jo's map, so that's why it is the way it is.
