The Sunday Mail reports that J.K.Rowling made a suprise appearance at the annual flower show at Aberfeldy's Williamson Hall. The mum-of-three JK presented the prizes and drew gales of laughter when she gave one winner the wrong trophy.

Her mum, Cathy, 41, said: "Everyone was thrilled. She is really beautiful.

"We often see her locally shopping in the Co-op but no one bothers her. I think that's why she came today - it's her way of thanking us for letting her get on with things when she's here with her family."

Yes, I bet it is nice to have her go do her own things unnoticed even if she is noticed, but not bothered. I'd've bet anyone would like that (including me) if they were to be a famed citizen, celebrity or not.

Good for her for attending the show! If I have attended that show, I would have been thrilled that she came. (And yet, utterly shy to speak to her in person... V.V)
