Rupert Grint, Emma Watson & Snatchers on Deathly Hallows Swinley Forest set

The first photos from the Swinley Forest Deathly Hallows location shoot have been released, featuring blurry images of Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and numerous Snatchers along with Fenrir Greyback heading to the set; the photos can be found in our galleries:

A detailed description of the filming has been released, as well, which can be read below.

Quote:

Regulars on location were Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson and in addition there were around 20 Death Eaters, including the very scary Fenrir Greyback!! Plus the Snatchers, (two of which are played by Chase Armitage and Adam Brashaw) whom are well known already in the UK as ‘urban acrobatics’ (or experts in ‘free running’), and also trained in various forms of Martial Arts.
Quote:

The scenes being shot here will be featured in both parts 1 & 2 of The Deathly Hallows. Night scenes and day action were shot by both film units; these include the capture of Harry, Ron and Hermione by the Snatchers (who then deliver them to Malfoy Manor), several scenes involving the Death Eaters and a scene in which Ron chases a rabbit through the forest!!!!

Special effects teams were on hand to coordinate with the crew, a large stunt team, and overall a huge production team to film what no doubt will be no more than 5-6 minutes on screen time.

It's reported that filming was over-schedule for this particular shoot, as the unpredictable English weather served up too much sunshine when the atmosphere of some of the scenes called for greying skies and a darker feeling. Which in turn meant filming longer than originally planned.

A fan who happened to make it close enough to one of the sets being used suggested parts of the ground were so scorched by the sun that sections of the grass had to be painted green to be included in the shots!

Another young visitor who was lucky enough to catch a glimse of Harry before filming commented at how scary he looked after special effects make up was used, no doubt to film his clash with the Deatheaters – ‘it looked like he’d been run over by buses’ she said.

No doubt a surreal moment on set and as shown in some of Ashley’s photo’s was the number of ‘body doubles’ for Harry, Ron and especially Hermione! – ‘it was hard to get pictures of Hermione, there were so many of her wearing the same clothes, they all had similar hair and features they all looked like her as they came to and from the base’.
We will have much more from this as it is made available, so stay tuned.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released July 15, 2009; tickets are on sale now!

Oooo Yaay! finally some new DH Pics, Greyback looks different than in HBP :O I'm thinking a double maybe, I mean why would they go for such a different look for him after HBP.

The image of Fenrir Greyback above are seems too way far from the image we've seen in Half-Blood Prince promos.

Emma Watson's beauty remains... =)

How accurate is this detailed description of filming they give? Because it seems that they are pinpointing the exact time of the movie split, which I find odd.

Well, David Yates was on-set in the forest at the time of the LA Times interview in which he divulged the split information, so it's pretty accurate.

Yep, sure seems that way, one of the BEST places imo to split it tho, which will allow Part 2 to be wayyy more detailed.

I'm curious to see if they swelled harry potters face...come on more pictures :D

Harry's face doesn't swelled or scarred base on the photos released from the Shell Cottage scenes, that's my big question when i first saw the photos.

That's what I thought too. Who else could it be?

interesting stuff...

iwantorlando05 06-26-2009 01:25 AM

Wow this is EXCITING!! They're clearly filming a huge action sequence! I'm assuming Emma has so many body doubles because they're no doubt going to enhance the part of the snatcher scene in which Greyback takes a liking to her and apparently there's a chase sequence too. I wonder if Dan's face is so beat up because of the hex Hermione puts on him?? But I can't wait to see this in the movie.

The part about Ron chasing a rabbit is freakin' hilarious and Greyback looks terrifying!! :D

cherbear09 06-26-2009 01:31 AM

Well as someone else said it could be a stunt double, or it could be just a new random character.

They could always add those effects to the film later though.

ronhermioneroc12 06-26-2009 02:20 AM

I cant wait to see this when it comes to life!!! I cant believe how much we are getting of this for DH BTS!!! 19 days til HBP!!!!

penguinpatronus07 06-26-2009 02:20 AM

So I'm guessing the Snatchers are the ones who look like a cross between human and racoon?

I thought the same thing. I was thinking "Okay . . . looks like him, but something's wrong." Maybe it is him? I don't know. Anyway, it seems like the split is the snatcher scene. Exciting. I want more reports now :)
