| | |  Order of the Phoenix shortlisted for an Oscar
Order of the Phoenix has been shortlisted for an Oscar, an Academy award, in the category of Best Visual Effects.
The fifth film faces competition from fourteen other movies; Beowulf, The Bourne Ultimatum, Evan Almighty, The Golden Compass, I Am Legend, Live Free Or Die Hard, National Treasure: Book Of Secrets, Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End, Ratatouille, Spider-Man 3, Sunshine, 300, Transformers, and The Water Horse.
The number will be brought down to seven, with three going on to be nominated, and possibly honoured at the ceremony in Feb. 2008.

I think you're right, Japanese Wizard...that's some stiff competition.
I have to say that I really enjoyed Transformers. I kind of almost hope that Transformers gets nominated, and even wins, because an action film getting an Oscar would be hilarious.

Ugh, I hope Beowulf doesn't get it. I read that for my English class and boy does that movie miss the mark on what the epic poem was about, and the special effects were weird. Some of the other ones would be disgraceful if they made the top three, I think Order of the Pheonix tops most of them.
