The
Cedar Rapids Museum of Art in Iowa is holding an exhibition of Mary Grandpre's art (which we told you about in
October), which includes many never-before-seen illustrations for the American editions of the
Harry Potter books. Amongst them are alternative book covers for
Sorcerer's Stone (entitled
Harry Potter and the School of Magic),
Half-Blood Prince, and
Deathly Hallows; they can be seen in high-resolution format

Also part of the exhibition were Mary's renditions of numerous scenes throughout the seven books, including Ron's chess match in the first book; Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirement; Harry swallowing the Golden Snitch at the end of his first Qudiditch match; and Professor Lupin teaching Harry to conjure a Patronus:
