J.K. Rowling revealed at the L.A. stop of her U.S. open book tour that she told the stars of Harry Potter what was to happen in Deathly Hallows before it even came out! Quote:
“I told all of them little bits, [but] I told Emma Watson the most,” Rowling said of the actress who plays Hermione Granger, who in the seventh novel finally gets her romantic moment with Ron Weasley. “She nearly fell off the chair laughing when I told her who she had to kiss.”
“But if it’s faithful to the story she has to kiss both of them,” Rowling added, indicating Harry as well as Ron. “Which I think is kind of funny.”

I agree with Aria. I'd hate to know beforehand, but it would be tempting if she was right there.
I have to agree that I, like Emma, almost fell out of my seat when Hermione kissed...Harry! Now, obviously, that wasn't completely true because it wasn't really Hermione, BUT...I was mortified and furious and then glad because it proved that it would NEVER be H/Hr...as for R/Hr kiss...It was 4 in the morning and I was jumping up and down shrieking for joy. My family was not happy with me.

If I was in that position, I don't know what I would have preferred...sure, I'd have wanted to know what happened to my character so I could prepare myself, but at the same time, I'm such an obsessed fan I wouldn't have wanted to know what happened until everyone else did.
Dan's a funny boy though...he had that coming! LOL
