In a new interview with Times Online, Helen McCrory talks about the various acting jobs she's had during her career, including that of Narcissa Malfoy in Half-Blood Prince. Helen briefly talks about her character's fashionable costumes in the sixth film: Quote:
If I told you what I was wearing, I would probably have to kill you; it's a bit like working for MI5. My costume is very couture, with beautifully sculpted silhouettes. The costumes are designed by my Parisian friend. Of course, style was battered into her at an early age.

Not that Helen Mccrory isn't but I did imagine Narcissa to be a bit prettier, more like Naomi Watts. Not that she could have played her though, shes not british  |

I feel the sameway. Not that his woman is a pretty. But, there is something more GLAM about Naomi. & Lucius looks like the type of wizard would would have modle type wife being, that he himsel is delvishly handsome( We need a DROOLING smily here). Mc Crory is pretty but, not GLAM.

I am REALLY not happy with this casting decision. So many other people look more Narcissa-ish. But to be fair, I've never seen her act, so I can't judge on her acting. I'd just rather that someone else played her. Nicole kidman would have made a good Narcissa, I think. | |
