| | HBP prices in Australia The Advertiser has a brief summary of the some of the prices that stores are charging for ' Half-Blood Prince', in Australia. Quote:
Trying to snare a wizard's hat-full, Dymocks Booksellers are taking orders for the book at $29.95, 33 per cent below the recommended retail price of $45. Angus & Robertson is taking internet orders at $39.95, but a spokesman said it was "possible this would not be the final price".
Don Grover, chief executive of the Dymocks group of companies, says, in relation to revealing the prices before the sale, "One of the great frustrations then for customers was that they wanted to order the book but no one would tell them what the price was going to be. We thought there was a lot of mileage to be gained by guaranteeing the price."

ok. Well, i dunno how much that'll be in Indian Rupees but HP hardcover books have always been about 600 to 800 bucks so i think this will be about that much...

Interesting, thanks for info.... Though I'm getting mine half off at Waldenbooks, and I live in US, so I think mine's cheaper... Yay! HBP!

that really stinks for you guys in Australia, hope you guys find out a price soon! I'm paying $18 US for my hardcover copy and that's about the average price here, maybe that will help you figure it out.

I know that I have ordered my copy of HBP from the internet, and I only paid 21 US$ for it including shipping. I thought it was a good deal, less then the cover price and shipping.
