Post Harry Potter site Pottermore's CEO talks future interactive plans, official shop

Charlie Redmayne, CEO of Pottermore, recently opened up about future plans for J.K. Rowling's interactive Harry Potter website, including setting up the site in additional languages, and launching products and experiences like the Wonderbook: Book of Spells on various interactive platforms. The full interview with Redmayne and the Pottermore News blog can be found here, highlights of Pottermore's potential future plans can be read below.

PN: What will we be seeing from Pottermore this year?
Charlie Redmayne (CR):
We’ll also be rolling out into more territories. At the moment we’re in English, both in the U.S. and U.K., French, Italian, German and Spanish. The site will be rolling out in Japanese. At the moment only the Shop’s in Japanese. We’ll also be rolling out in South Korea and Brazil. Those I can guarantee, but we may be rolling out into more countries as well.

Otherwise, you will see [the e-books in other languages.] They may not have their own shop but there will definitely be shops for Korea and Brazil. In some of the other territories, we’re going to make the ebooks available from the existing stores. You will see new digital platforms – the Book of Spells on PlayStation is just the beginning of what we’ll do in Playstation and other platforms.

PN: Will the Pottermore Shop be increasing [its] selection this year?
Redmayne (CR):
We will be making e-books available in other languages. We will, I hope, be also making other products and “experiences” to make the Harry Potter world available from the Pottermore Shop. That’s what our plan is, and I hope you’ll be seeing that over the coming months.

I don't want ebooks in Portuguese (I love read them in paper), I would like see the Pottermore in Portuguese... Every day I have to read and translate the site to my kids, that is generally a lengthy and arduous process...

It's nice they working on various language editions but that still doesn't solve the basic problem behind Pottermore: there's nothing about the site that makes you want to come back after you've visited all the Potter "moments."
The games are too limited. What's the fun in brewing a potion for 4 hours?? Not into the wand dueling.
Would love to see an operational wizard chess game as well as better "find the object games." We're finding objects but they really don't amount to much unless you plan on making potions and can use the "freebie" stuff. How about a real "find the hidden object game" with points associated or different levels of achievement?
Okay, so we got house points. So what? How about giving a discount in the Pottermore store to members of the house that won the cup for a limited time?
Just some thoughts....

I agree with marypao, it's really great that they're expanding their territories but really nobody will be attracted to it unless they get a move on with the books. And I, for one, do not have playstation. I have a computer. I want to play Pottermore on the computer - I really couldn't care less about anything they release for playstation.
