As some of my already know Scholastics has talked about how they have a big countdown timer in Times Square. Well I just found out today that there will also be a big party at the Toy-R-US.
(Sorry if you already know this info, I'm a little excited)
Here are some of the details.
1. GRAMMY® award-winning narrator Jim Dale will be on-hand to read excerpts from the new book
2. Guests who purchase the new book will receive a limited-edition commemorative poster signed by Harry Potter illustrator Mary GrandPré.
And I wont be there because I dont live in New York! I hate living in the South. Nothing happens here... >. I am already jealous that the UK gets the book before us in the US and the midnight parties which I really want to go to but I cant since I pre-ordered it. I try not to be jealous, but its not easy.
i live in MA too
but the release is on the night of my dance dress rehersal for my recital so i cant go
ne way from where i live it takes 4 hours to get nyc by train-even lolnger by car
and i doubt my parents would let me go that far ne way even if i didnt have sumthing-just for a hp book :unsure: > Its not fair!!!!!
i'm jealous too!!!!! i wish i lived in the UK or in nyc or LA
all the good stuff happens there
If you go to this website they have a list of all the cool events happening in all sorts of places. Maybe you can find a cool event that is closer to you.
