Harry Potter London play potential director, writer announced, more plot revealed Rumours are surfacing, from the Daily Mail's very reliable Baz Bamigboye (who originally broke the news of the Harry Potter play months ago), that a director and writer have been chosen for the upcoming pre-Hogwarts Harry Potter play for the West End in the U.K. The British team of Tony-winning director John Tiffany (Once) and playwright Jack Thorne (Let The Right One In) are said to take charge of the play, and are in early negotiations to direct and write the Harry Potter prequel for the stage. Thorne is said to have been pursued by J.K. Rowling to write the play, and the author has met both men in collaboration for the production. Quote:

so its like... Annie. but without the the singing? im curious how this will go, although i will admit im a bit on this side of skeptical. also im a bit anxious on who they will cast as Harry, which i could imagine would even be more tricky not only because its a high profile role but is even (theoretically) younger than when Dan started. |
