Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts graphic team MinaLima, more displayed at 2017 NYCC Story by: Katie Bellman Photos by: Anika Kokatay While there weren't a great deal of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts displays at this year's New York Comic-Con, fans in the city, and around the country and world got the chance to check out MinaLima's pop-up shop on display. The graphic designers of the two film series from J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros. were on hand throughout this past weekend at the Javits Center. Although SnitchSeeker unfortunately missed them this past Friday, a quick glance around the booth displayed the most vibrant and stunning art from the movies, which can be seen here. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Insight Editions, popular for their incredible line of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts stationery sets, had a full display out of notebooks and journals with the Hogwarts Houses featured, as well as the Deathly Hallows, and a few magical creatures. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> The final booth of note at NYCC this year was China-based distributor Star Ace Toys Limited, who set up a display featuring their new Fantastic Beasts line - with a lifelike Newt Scamander - as well as figures of Lucius Malfoy, and returning models of Harry and Hermione Granger. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Undoubtedly next year's NYCC will have much more to reveal, as it will be taking place weeks before the theatrical release of Fantastic Beasts 2 - and like last year's event will hopefully have an incredible display up (and a surprise appearance by Dan Fogler is always a pleasant addition). |
I wish I went Hogwarts. I could have found out what happens in the next movie while studying history of magic. |
