The Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will make their New York Comic Con debut in October. The cast, undoubtedly led by leads Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni, and Paul Thornley, will take the stage on Thursday, October 4 at the Javits Center. Details are below.

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is an epic two-part event that tells the eighth story in the Harry Potter series. It was always difficult being Harry Potter, and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places. Rolling Stone calls it “A thrilling triumph of epic proportions that will soon be the stuff of legend. It’s some kind of miracle.”

In addition to the Cursed Child, NYCC will host a panel for the upcoming YouTube series Origins, starring Harry Potter films' alum Tom Felton and Natalia Tena. The pair are confirmed to attend Comic Con Thursday, October 4 as well, though this time in the afternoon.

In ORIGIN, a group of outsiders seek a clean slate on a colonized planet but are jarred awake on their journey as an asteroid collision damages their spaceship, leaving them stranded. The abandoned passengers discover a terrifying truth and must work together for survival, but quickly realize that one of them is far from who they claim to be.

No word yet on if Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will appear at NYCC, but it is safe to say the second installment in J.K. Rowling's series will have a show, panel, or display at the convention. Hopefully more details to come closer to October.
